I haven't really trusted them after I found out Truman Capote said they exist mainly to promote Jewish writers. They in fact were the ones who brought Honor Levy to fame by publishing her writing prior to her book, although the New York Times also promoted her a lot

But then the main alternative is the Paris Review which revealed it was founded by the CIA
