I always thought there was room for a translation halfway to KJV. For example the Ten Commandments really should all say "Thou shalt not..." instead of "You should not" or whatever. I mean come on. But certain parts could be moderately modernized for readability. As far as I can tell there's nothing like this, you either go with old King James or get some soulless new version.
