This one has been on my back burner for a long time and I have never gotten around to reading it but I have really wanted to for some time now. Under the Gaslight by Augustin Daley is an incredibly famous work parodied often though you likely have never heard of it.

It’s the play you’ve probably seen referenced a lot in cartoons like Dudley Do Right and SpongeBob where a woman is tied to train tracks by a villain wearing a cape and moustache. I wanted to read this book. I just never found a good copy to buy nor had time for it.
