i think the idea of a fantasy using american culture and folklore is underexplored, cowboys instead of knights, voodoo magic, instead of orcs you get sasquatch.


that being said, i havent read the dark tower but i heard it ends up being shit in the end.

can confirm. first book is atmospheric-kino and worth reading, though.

First book is athmospheric kino then the mood and pace changes until the 4th book which I think its the best one, and then it gets progressively worse
Deapite this I think that the ending was really good and a satisfy conclusion of 7 books
