>As seen on Fetlife!
>>25257039This thing where modern authors take a famous work that's currently residing in the public domain because everyone initially involved with its creation has been dead for at least a hundred years and putting "le modern twist" on it is easily one of the gayest fucking things I've ever seen in my 35 years of life. It's always women the ones who are doing this shit too. I wish it was illegal.
>>25257039I doubt a single one of these pieces of shit are written even 0.000001% as good as the works they’re pozzing. Is their only identifiable trait simply the fact that they’re women? >>25257046Well, Ulysses sort of did this but that was executed tremendously. And it didn’t steal any characters, or settings, or much of anything except thematic allusions and its structure. Plus that had a purpose which was to elevate the quotidian and the everyman into something epic and I think it succeeded.
