>>25255724Hegel has been in Marxist captivity for far too long, let’s free him, so he can smile again.

>>25255786I’m op

>>25255718>Pls no Marxists/historical materialismWhat a strange thing to ask. Neither of those are supplementary material/commentary on PoS
>>25255718>Pls no Marxists/historical materialismYou retards are incredibly mentally fragile
>>25255718fine I'll be helpful. you want Hegel's Ladder by Harris. Two volume paragraph-by-paragraph commentary on PoS published by Hackett Classics
>>25255718You're looking for 'The Logic of Desire'
schizofiction

>>25255718>Hermetic Hegel, Heterodox Hegel>F.H. Bradley, Wallace Stace, Houlgate, Harris, Beiser
This is going to get downvoted but if you don‘t understand the movement well enough to be able to parse his sentences you just need more Fichte and Schelling. Only retards rely on ((secondary sources)).
>>25257050>Houlgatecame here to post the goat.
>downvoted>Only retards rely on ((secondary sources))you give away the baitbut still I'll clap my hands
How do you even see Hegel's resolution of labor alienation in Phenomenology of the Spirit as anything but a cop out without Marx? "Being a wage slave is not bad per se because it's all in your head."
>>25255718I have Kojeve's Introduction to the Reading of Hegel and Kalkavage's Logic of Desire. I'm working through Kojeve first (in preparation he spent six years reading nothing but Phenomenology of Spirit, and that's the sort of zeal that leads me to trust a man as a guide), and then maybe I'll work through Kalkavage before I tackle Phenomenology and Science of Logic. >inb4 no marxiststhe most dedicated and accurate students of Hegel are likely to be Marxists, sad to say, and Kojeve is fucking brilliant.
>>25255718Cambridge Companion
>>25259374>the most absurd and inaccurate distortionists of Hegel are likely to be MarxistsFTFY
>>25259387I don't think Kojeve is distorting Hegel at all, but he's the only Marxist Hegelian I'm aware of, so I probably should have modified my earlier statement.
>>25259374>>25259394Not for nothing, but Kojeve's student Stanley Rosen, who published two excellent books on Hegel, is forward about Kojeve's interpretation being unsound to the texts, and Kojeve in a letter to Strauss reveals that his lecturing approach was as interested in being shocking, provoking, and paradoxical. He's one of the most interesting Hegelians of the last century, but that didn't translate to being accurate to Hegel's word.
God I wish I had the time to study, work, and also study Hegel as well. Maybe I could but then I'd have no time for anything else;.

>>25260372I just installed Obsidian, I think I already like it more than OneNote since it looks much cleaner on my small monitor. I have PoH in my work desk I'm gonna read encyclopedia of sciences at home.
