An Amazon review of Sun Tzu's "Art of War"
This is my experience with all classic Chinese literature, it's all this wisdom teaching bullshit. Thank you, Master Ching Chong, but I don't really care about living a noble life.

I confess I had the same snarky attitude when I read it the first time. Don't camp close to river blah blah. Not really relevant now, right? But that's not what it's about. Growing a little older, I went through it again, paying some more attention, and the book really appears like common sense to us now only because that guy (or those people) first determined how shit gets done and people around the world religiously followed those lessons for 2000 years.Even today, you see wars go to shit when the leaders stop following Sun Tzu. Exactly as he wrote thousands of years ago. More than some guidebook, it's a scathingly accurate analysis of human nature, of mob mentality, which hasn't changed one bit in all this time.
