Finished Michael K and Disgrace back to back. This forum is seriously sleeping on Coetzee. Never saw any discussion about him here. Why?
Disgrace I thought was alright, initially sort of a Lolita type novel I found quite entertaining, then with a major shift in the middle. Towards the end of the book I was waiting for some kind of climax to tie the book together but it just never came, left me hanging a little.
>>25266357His first book Dusklands is real good shit if you like your Kafkabeckettslorp
>>25266357>Never saw any discussion about him here. Why?Probably because you’re a newfag
Has this guy written anything relatively original? All of his books seem like fanfictions of other writers.
>>25266357Opposed apartheid. Not saying thats the morally wrong decision, but it is definitely the low IQ decision which reflects poorly on his writings.
>>25266357He's a faggot (figuratively), and I strongly dislike books written by those types.
>>25266357>Michael K and Disgracenever read K, assume it's worth it? I was indifferent towards Waiting For The Barbarians, but Disgrace is entrancing. Read it three times. I want to read Elizabeth Costello and Childhood-Boyhood-Youth soon>Never saw any discussion about him here. Why?He's too recent/contemporary, and most anons don't read anything contemporary aside from a few memed writers and /lit/ darlings
>>25266357doesn't have dick jokes like pynchon
