Peterson isn't saying that anarchism/communism is an inherently bad idea. he's saying that applying it in real life is much more complicated than anyone thinks. almost not a single advocate of these economic systems knows what they're doing (and neither do capitalists btw)

>>25272245Of course, this is just one of the many little dances they (both midwits and fifth columnists alike) do to downplay it. Another common one is>it could never work because... le human greedOr a personal favorite, one you'll magically find on the lips of most Eastern Yuro boomers>Supreme Leader (Tsar) was in fact good but it was the commisars/secretaries/chiefs (boyars) under him that were bad and hid everything from himAll in all, just think of Solzhenitsyn and the "le line of le evil passes within each of le hearts" slop.
it's very rare to find socialists who don't just think the rich have an endless well of money that they can simply seize and use to pay for everything. And also that they can't basically unmake human nature, until people just do what they want.Talk to any of them for five minutes, and it comes up.
>>25272281It's just wishful thinking about how the world 'should be.' There's a reason they're all young and sheltered kids. No working man is a communist.
>>25272254He didn't know when to shut the hell up.
>>25272245>anarchism/communismcomplete retardation to lump these together. communism requires a massive tyrannical state. anarchism is explicitly the absence of a state.
>>25272281Envy is at the root of it. I have relatives that were radical socialists in their youth and even in their personal lives I've seen them struggle with jealousy. Ironically these are some pretty classist people too, I remember one of them cackling about how the girl that she hated at primary school ended up working retail. One was really against space travel and going to Mars, she'd seethe at Elon and talk about how humanity would just "ruin" Mars. it didn't make sense to me that humanity could ruin a dead planet, which suggested misanthropy, but then I realized she just hated that other people could do great things and she couldn't.It's quite funny how sub-continentals are so prone to socialist thought, despite being hierarchical people that feel entitled to punch down on those in a weaker position, and giving obsequious asslicking to those above. Everywhere the Indian diaspora goes they get involved in leftist politics and advocate for redistributionism. It's absolutely not out of genuine conviction or concern for the poor. Then you look into India itself and see that it's just a giant pile of crabs in a bucket, that's what radical leftists are, all pulling each other down and looking to live parasitically off of one another. It sort of clicks into place what the game is.Envy on the individual level always finds expressions of "he cheated" or "he thinks he's better than everyone else", justifying itself with righteous moral outrage, which is almost always bullshit. People are talking at crossroads with leftists because they'll never ever admit the embarrassing emotion at the heart of their politics. This only applies to the radical leftists. There's other political leftists that are vaguely social democrats who I don't completely understand, but I get the vibes they're good people.
>>25272517Great post that would actually help leftists if they were willing to listen
>>25272245>Peterson isn't saying that anarchism/communism is an inherently bad idea.If it is so inadequate to real life that no one in 150 years figured out how to apply it, it's an inherently bad idea.
>>25272558To be fair, there was literally no feasible way to implement anything like communism in the modern era. The way I see it, it can only work in an an arguably dystopian "Brave New World" type of scenario where we have the technology to control every aspect of human life. Ultimately, it's a matter of incentive. There is literally NO incentive for anyone to pursue actual successful communism in 2026. And even if they do, it will eventually degenerate back into something like capitalism once people start to get sick of the status quo.
>>25272245It is an inherently bad idea, why do people even grant marxists that it's good in theory? If a scientist has a theory which is completely disproven through reason and evidence then the idea was inherently wrong. Yet, we can have retards who continue trying their retarded ideas because they think it's not inherently bad. Yes, marxism is inherently bad, all the main premises are wrong, therefore it's bad in reality.
