Wherever you are, if you want to read, just read. Of course it’s going to feel awkward when you are starting a new habit and in public no less, the important thing is to find joy and longing for the act itself, even if it takes some internal self-denial. I don't have conversations where i tell people I read but when I want to make people feel bad i'll casually bring in and apply concepts and themes into conversations and act 1000% like i fully expect them to know of and understand what im talking about, like this is just general knowledge shit that any dumbass should be able to engage with, and theres not a single whiff that i believe im superior to them or have superior knowledge to them in any way at all.
