Pages don't matter. 1h minimum of reading per day is a good thing to keep up I think

Stop treating reading like a chore.
>>
ÆSTHETES WORRY ABOUT THE PAGES THAT THEY READ; LITERATES AGONIZE OVER THE PAGES THAT THEY WRITE.

I NEED TO WRITE FORTY NINE POEMS IN SEVEN DAYS; I AM SCARED.

This. Read what you enjoy.

Like 100. It depends on the book though.

What is most important is having the daily habit of doing it at all.

depends heavily on what you're reading, here's my sense of it
>contemporary poetry
about a ~book a day is a good pace, poetry's quick but if you move much faster than that you won't retain much
>modern poetry
no real metric other than "slowly"
>romantic/victorian/elizabethean poetry
genuinely cannot imagine going faster than 25 pages a day here
>contemporary fiction (generally)
100pgs/day easily
>contemporary fiction of high quality (meme trilogy and meme trilogy adjacent belongs here)
50pgs/day
>classic fiction
also heavily depends on what you're reading, dickens goes down fast, woolf doesn't. on the high end, you can blaze through 200pgs of hemingway in a day if you have the time and if he grabs you. on the low end, I can only stomach 25ish pages of henry james per day
>pop nonfiction
50pgs/day, breezy read but ostensibly you read nonfiction to learn, so you have to slow down
>real nonfiction (academic presses, things not for a general audience, etc)
25-50pgs/day depending on your level of familiarity with the subject matter
>philosophy of any kind
genuinely cannot imagine reading more than 25pgs/day and retaining anything of value

This. /lit/ posers are just consumers and they don't even consume good stuff, only shit.
