Robert M. Price aka Mr Simon Magus was Paul has also edited a bunch of short story collections from various writers dabbling in the Cthulhu mythos.
Pic related, also Hellraiser. You can try the Laundry Files but that gets real strange real fast
>>25277146William Hope Hodgson was at least contemporary to if not an influence on Lovecraft, as well as on weird horror in general. The House on the Borderland would be a good intro to this stuff. Not detective lit, but occult/cosmic mystery. Then he has a series about a character Carnacki the Ghostfinder, and it'd be right up your alley. Mind you it's serialised stuff, sort of repetitive, but I read them all a ways back and enjoyed them. Then there's the Night Land, which is sci-fi cosmic horror. These are all on Project Gutenberg for free. That's all I've read from Hodgson, but there's apparently lots more than that if you can find any complete collections of his works.
This kino.
