Essentially, I have a reading list of considerable length, which I cannot foresee myself getting through even a fraction of, in addition to linguistic aspirations (picking up some greek+sanskrit, per comparative philological interest and more), which I just have not worked toward at all; all in spite of the time I've had, and still do have. On occasion, I will read into the lives of, say, Avicenna, or most recently Hugo Grotius, and these biographies will complete nonchalantly recount how, for instance, they either have 200+ mammoth works attributed to them spanning metaphysics, logic, mathematics, astronomy, MUSICAL THEORY, psychology, write the singular most important medical textbook in both the islamic world and medieval Europe for ~600 years, or (in the case of Grotius) enter into university at age 11, publish by age 16 “a scholarly edition of the late antique author Martianus Capella's work on the seven liberal arts, Martiani Minei Felicis Capellæ Carthaginiensis viri proconsularis Satyricon. [which] remained a reference for several centuries.”, basically invents international law as still conceived of in the current-day; no doubt in totally warped, ersatz form. HALF OF THIS BY THEIR FUCKING TEENAGE YEARS. I feel so pathetically little in comparison, my output is none. How am I meant to compete? The point of writing all of this out is to work out a path by which to circumvent whatever it is OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE PRESENT MOMENT so antagonistic to the cultivation of exactly this degree of accomplishment, or for my purposes simply of of erudition. It should be obvious to most that this can largely be chalked down to the abundance now of stimulus, digital or otherwise, coterminous with a kind of forced engagement with “mass culture”, any proper decoupling from which would necessitate incurring total social and economic abandon to live out in a log-cabin as NATURE MAN, probably with zero human contact. Not to sound like some kind of muslim, but the sheer extent to which the same corporate-produced MUZAK is forced upon you in literally every public space must dull you to someee degreeeee. I realise that I'm going to extremes now, but I would like to think the crux of this issue lies someplace deeper than the evil triad of PORN, SEED OIL, LE INSTAGRAM REEL. How do I pick up the book and read the pages? How do I pick up the greeksanskrit flashcard(s) and read the flashcard…. s.. ? ? Better, how do I replicate what these people "had"? Just in terms of being similarly read, I've already accepted I'll never match them in actual output.
>>25279803>tldnrJesus fuck, dude you're trying way too hard. Double read whatever you just wrote, and shorten it into three greentext sentences of no more than four words each. Make sure to do some grammatical errors, or nobody will ever take you seriously here.

>>25279803First, don't be too discouraged. Consider people like Kant and Hegel who wrote their major works when their when they were fairly mature (Kant in his 50s, Hegel in his late 30s).Secondly, set up for yourself a daily routine, one you can feasibly follow. If your passion is strong enough for learning, than you'll be able to manage something even if you have to balance work and outside obligations. Thirdly, don't rush anything. If you have to spend extra time studying whatever author or mastering grammar and vocab, than that extra time is worth it.Fourthly, don't fear leisure. To use Kant as an example again, even he enjoyed breaks with friends and naps, inbetween his teaching workload and writing and reading. What might not feel like a lot accomplished in a day can still add up over a week and over a month and over a year, etc.
