Anyone here ever read these? Just finished The Angel’s Game (book 2, though a prequel to book 1) and I’m kind of somewhere between having loved it and being somewhat disappointed.

It felt rushed toward the latter third which was a bit deflating and yet the persistent feeling that David was a bit less of a reliable narrator than initially thought sort of creeps up on you in that portion as he unravels. I’d love to see some other people’s thoughts on what was real and what was imagined/embellished.

I might actually enjoy it more on a re-read which I normally don’t do for books I didn’t already adore.

I have his 'The Shadow on the Windsor my to read list. My friend recommended him to me. Btw, I wanted to ask, os there sex scenes in his books? Cause I really dislike them and as well as love story

He alludes to sex but there are no descriptions of sex scenes. I think you mean “Shadow of the Wind” though, La Sombra Del Viento in the original Spanish. Thats the first book in the series and definitely enjoyed it quite a bit. Super comfy read I took to the beach a couple times last august.
