How would you define Reddit style?
For me, it's the writing style characterized by the following:
> Overuse of jokes, quips, sarcasm and comebacks between chracters even if the work isn't a comedy. Compared to regular comedy, there's no room to build up jokes, they happen as quickly as they can.
> Humor is mostly politically correct, the only targets of a joke may be conservatives or White people in order to avoid offending minorities.
> In the same vein, it follows a strict white-black morality in which villains are conservative and heroes are liberal.
> In certain works, but not all, minorities are portrayed as immaculate and come across as caricatures. They can't do anything wrong and any flaw is considered a quirk rather than something that holds them or prevents them from achieving their goals.
> Heavy reliance on references to geek culture, such as Lord of the Rings, Apple, Star Wars and other Disney franchises, video games, etc.
> Related to that, embellishment of pop science and politics. Even if the writer has poor or superficial understanding of how it works, it's there to display how smart the characters or even the writer are.
> A childish or cartoonish tone even if the work is aimed at adults. Drugs, gore and sex are seen as depth and mature themes.
> Avoidance of emotional moments by breaking up any seriousness by delivering a joke or a quip. Weirdly enough, the serious moments are relegated to those in which a character suffers from discrimination.

- The value of reddit depends on the values of the 4channer.
- Most reddit is born as imitation, not innovation.
- The 4channer, not the redditor, is the one who defines innovation, and rates it.
- The redditor is merely a vehicle for the aesthetic/ideology of the 4channer.
- The 4channer is the real redditor.

Not really.
/pol/ humour is more visceral and edgier but also ridiculous
reddit delves into the wholesome and childish, like a man who can't let go of his childhood

Rabelais is too Christian for reddit
>>
>Sociopathic Extraversion
>cutsey + Cute Aggression

Violently kitsch, mostly.

You nailed all of it.
I would add that Reddit writing is bland, safe, and simple.
I spend both time on 4chan and Reddit, and Reddit comes off as very generic in writing. Reddit users genuinely write like NPCs - there are no stylistic marks to separate one user from the next. 4chan, even though anonymous, has more unique personalities once you learn to identify users by their choice of words and syntactical mistakes and patterns.
And there's no edge to Reddit. It's all padded room tier safe and cushiony tier alcoholic uncle who thinks he's brilliant tier humour. Even teenagers can joke better and sharper than the average Redditor. You can't be an outstanding writer if you are unwilling to cut as sharp as you can. Redditors are too preoccupied with some nice POC guy/gal image rather than being honest.
Speaking of POC, the POC in their books often comes as extremely racist. All the coloured people sound like caricatures rather than genuine beings. I don't know how it's possible to set off writing a POC book and end up with lesbians being bitchy, Asian having Eastern themes tattoos, Africans being homicidal warlords wielding AKs (Dungeon Crawler Carl), nigger women being sassy niggers (Authority; 7 lives of Evelyne or whatever), Christian pastors being gay (the third book of the Annihilation series), Jeets working in convenience stores (Talisman). Isn't the point of POC actually showing minorities outside the stereotypical racist frameworks?

There's a genuine difference between Reddit in 4chan. I started with 4chan, then gravitated to Reddit. All the 4chan jokes about Reddit actually made sense, I thought it was just anger, but no, the critique is valid.
I genuinely thought 4chan was exaggerating Reddit's cringe until I read a post on r/HighStrangeness about how a Redditor recited some litany from Lords of the Rings to his dying father who had window of lucidity amid dementia. He said not, it's me, remember me, I love you, Normal stuff people say to dying people. No, He went straight to some elven monologue from Tolkien. I should have made a screenshot, as proof, but that post is somewhere in the Reddit archives. The most fucked up thing was that the comment was on top, and that no one in the responding posts said how fucking stupid he was for bringing meme literature quotes at such a short and fragile moment like the death of your own parent. Reddit cringe, Reddit blandness, Reddit I heckin love science, Reddit's BBC cuck memes are genuine satirical hyperbolization of the Reddit mindset.

Reddit can have edge, but that edge is a manchild's idea of edge, which is mentioned in point seven. There are shows like The Boys or Peacemaker as an example. In those, people kill in brutal ways, but the most evil characters are racist or misogynist.

Pretty much

Status seeking principles; bizarre concoction of Machiavellian and neurotic, obsessive and religious abuse of taboos and sophistry. The whole goal of their behavior is to divide people and evaluate their group and themselves as superior beings (but all are equal). They would love to be seen as heroes but are lowly mobsters. Very judeo-coded, as are all inhibited and mangled places.
