Ok.
>>25283760His real crimes were the ones he committed against the written word.
Didn't like him until he raped those women, now I am a big fan
>>25283826even that doesn't make me like him.
>>25283760I always had a weird feeling about this guy. Usually meek sounding people who try and talk big about how much of an ally against injustice they are, are the ones hiding something themselves.
>>25283760I like his comics. He's a good copycat when it comes to short stories, but his novels fall short.
>>25284233Lol whatHis comics are shit. Have you read his miracleman run? He took one of the most interesting superhero reimaginings and turned it into formulaic dramaslop. Then there's his "Elric" one shot that has more to do with gay sex than the white wolf. The worst part is they printed it in full for the omnibus so the first Elric story new readers encounter isn't even by moorcock.I've always disliked Neil and it isn't just "hindsight". He's a mediocre writer at best and he only got as far as he did by pandering to minority groups like trans people, who he probably doesn't give a shit about irl.
>>25283760I overall like his quirky goth emo Sandman characters.Dialogue is colorful. His novels are hard to read. His plots are lazy and ineffectual.
Sandman is the only good thing he has ever done, and I'm starting to wonder if it was like a george lucas situation where it was just made good by other people involved in it.
