>>25284640>hau daz it kompare to ze movieI haven't seen the movie, but in the book Grenouille gets caught and sentenced to public execution for all of the murders, but when he gets trotted out in front of the town, everyone in attendance suddenly believes that he isn't the murderer (even though he was caught redhanded), and then they all fuck each other in a mass orgy - all because he's wearing the scent of one of the girls he murdered. Then they let him go, he goes to Paris, walks into the graveyard in the middle of the night while wearing the same scent, and a bunch of thieves and prostitutes take out a bunch of axes and chop him into little pieces (because of the scent?) and then the book ends.

You don't end a Dionysian blood orgy without a single drop of blood. No, now I managed to make myself actually angry. They could have put in such great imagery, and they just didn't fucking do it? The entire culmination of the film and they get COLD FEET? After all the gross shit and murder, and not one scullery maid smearing blood across her tits in mindless ecstasy? What was the fucking point?
