>>25284293>Or just something massive that I can binge. If you want to disappear into another world and forget this one maybe a book series is the thing.Larry McMurtry, Lonesome Dove (Pretty good if you like Westerns.)LD itself is a big book, and works OK stand-alone. Not sure he ever intended to write others. But he did write three more. Most people say best to read them in publication order:Lonesome Dove (1985): Set in the late 1870s.Streets of Laredo (1993): Set in the early 1890s. Dead Man's Walk (1995): Set in the early 1840s.Comanche Moon (1997): Set in the 1850s–1860s.Patrick O'Brien, Aubrey-Maturin (good but you have to enjoy lots of period detail about 1800-ish ships) — 20½ of these (he died leaving the last unfinished)Rex Stout, Nero Wolfe (pretty light but OK, Wolfe is a massive fat genius detective who just sits in a chair and is rude to people. Books are narrated by his wisecracking dogsbody.) — loads of these, not sure how many, maybe 20-30
