Just finished it. Are the sequels worth checking out at all? Are there any other comedy books as good? I've already read Confederacy of Dunces and Catch 22.

I tried getting through the indemnible jeeves but stopped.
>>25286056I liked Riotous Assembly and Blott on the Landscape as well as Wilt. Someone somewhere said you should stay away from his later novels (I'm guessing 90's and later). I forget why, I think because they supposedly are not as witty (or "Sharpe" hehehe) as his earlier books.I haven't read Spike Milligan's war memoirs yet, but they might be something for you?If drunken tall tales are your cup of tea, give Robert Rankin a go. I read the Antipope and Brentford Triangle before deciding his books weren't for me. They're fairly amusing, but there's just too much rambling.Has anyone here read Jasper Fforde?
I can't decide if I like this or Confederacy of Dunces more.
>>25286056This and Confederacy of Dunces are the best I've read, other books from the Wilt series are also good but I didn't enjoy them as much.Jeeves series from Woodehouse are also good and so is The Good Soldier Svejk.
>>25286056Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh is probably the funniest thing I've read.
