>Author's thinly veiled cuck fetish: the novel
Yes truly the greatest novel of all time. Of course /lit/ ranks this so highly considering it's the third most left leaning board after /lgbt/ and /mu/. In a just society he would have been hung at the stake.

this si what reddit thinks about this novel. Nuff said.
>>
I'm reading it again now. It's depressing to go to any other author after Joyce. Head and shoulders above the rest of the world.

Yes we are. Or at least I know I am
Trying to act like the fact that you have a high IQ and good taste doesn't make you feel good about yourself is just plain pretentious. Embrace your vanity and egotism and be free at last

I wish Sylvia Beach had saved her money.

When you combine this analysis with the fact that the academic establishment has forced this book into the Top 10 of the English literary Western Canon, you can mindblow yourself hard enough to break beyond the bonds which your supposed intellectual superiors have subsumed you to.

If it strikes you that a novel which revels in cuckoldry has been contended as one of the greatest books ever written by people who hold advanced degrees in literature, then it should thereby reveal to you all of their in-credibility as authorities who can dictate to you what is and is not objectively excellent.

Then, you may at last finally scorn them with the indignant fury they deserve and abandon them and the dreck they bandy to their literal circlejerk, forever irrelevanted as they frankly should have been from the very beginning.

One man’s cuckoldry is another man’s Homeric epic. You can morally disagree with the subject matter but it’s still a monumental work of art.

Cant tell if you are talking about OP or the redditor.

That‘s retarded. They‘re two things on the complete opposite ends of human experience. As far as monumental works of art go it‘s got nothing on, say, In The Realms Of The Unreal or the tower my dentist used to have an office in.

They're a vocal minority actively trying to make the board seem that way. I suspect the actual minority are egirls who don't read anything but plot summaries and romance and apolitical autistic guys who like science fiction and maybe some basic philosophy (and never the twain shall meet)

>provocative statement in green text
>hung at the stake
I don't know what to trust, or why I browse this place anymore. I think it might be a sort of Skinner box. In any event, I recall liking the Ithaca chapter, and then detesting Penelope with a passion I would struggle to articulate even in a colossal, 8-sentence mudslide-of-consciousness. I hope everybody's having a good day.
