How do you track the books you've read? Goodreads sucks

Hardcover

I use storygraph because I can find people who review books similarly to me and then see what other books they’re talking about, I’ve discovered some good books this way.

For my own reference, I also keep track in a spreadsheet
>>
Memory. Also, an excel document, zoomzoom.
>>

I remember them?
Why would I need to "track" them?
>>
>>25287725
I don't do it. What is the purpose of tracking them?
>>

I've forgotten many of the books I read a decade ago. It can be nice to look over my spreadsheet and see the progression of subject matter in what I read.

You sound like a woman. Go back to preddit

storygraph, but I'm trying to go local. I deleted letterboxd and use obsidian with some plugins.
I don't use excel cause I like to have a page for a book to put quotes and thoughts

In my mind, or if I need to untangle the threads I will journal. Being too dependent on technology is an attachment to the transitory.

apply the same principle for movies and games

Why a notebook and a pencil of course!

Not sure why this is unique to that platform, I check the reviews of books I read and follow the people who think similarly, get their updates on Goodreads. Pretty simple.

You definitely don't, that's not how memory works.

Storygraph is the new preddit noncesense as their way of sticking to Bezos who bought goodreads. Just like bluesky was astroturfed on preddit, so was storygraph despite librarything already existing and way better than goodreads. Storygraph is datafication for losers who want to quantify and gamify their hobbies
>>

Do you not know what active recall is? I hear the concept is lost on zoomers.
>>
My PDF readers have them all bookmarked and saved in some .txt file in the AppData folder.
>>

I'm sure you're using interval checked flashcard quizzing of novels you fucking retard. Your trite retort is meaningless anyway since revisiting reviews and logs would be a key part of active recall to check your facts.
