Are there any anons here that have some sort of connection to the publishing world or libraries? I’m looking for some insight. I take my kids to the library frequently and it’s a very nice library that has tons of books, almost every single new kids book they get is some sort of weird racial or cultural identitarian thing. I counted four separate books on display about “black hair” and multiple “BLACK BOY JOY” type books. Also tons of stuff pertaining to other cultures about how great it is to be a solo poly peg leg hijabi scientist or whatever. Of course this kind of identity stuff is only allowed to go in one direction you know. Not to mention they have tons of books about trying to turn your 6 year old kid into some sort of annoying political activist(picrel). To the library’s credit they do have a pretty huge selection of classic books and I can always find something for my kids. But the sheer amount of woke shit is borderline overwhelming. Is this ALL they publish nowadays? I’m not even some sort of chud, it would just be nice if we had a modern day equivalent of Richard Scarry or whatever.
>>25358923I think with a few exceptions a large part of children's books have always been poorly written moralistic slop, written by self-righteous people, even when the message is overall not bad (be nice to each other, listen to your parents, girls can do things too, etc). Before the modern identity stuff it was mainly sloppy christian moralist stuff, now its sloppy stuff about voting or racism or whatever. I also just suspect its a fairly profitable part of book publishing, and so is bound to attract a lot of uninspired people trying to get a grift on. Getting kids to read is generally seen as something of a responsibility parents need to fulfill, and parents are generally willing to spend more if is for the sake of their kids. There is a lot of great stuff too though, i think it just takes some work filtering it out.
Be happy children dont read these days. All of these propaganda books are only effective when it comes to getting liberal parents and governments to buy these books
>>25359552In my experience, people who can't read and just watch tv are the most insulated from propaganda. Books rot your brain and turn people against Trump
>>25359857Trump has his own jewish interests that make him unlikable. I'll agree that leftists are way worse, but Trump is a man of half measures. He only panders and never really delivers.
>>25358923>I’m not even some sort of chud>I kept ignoring the water rising and now its up to my neck any advice?live with the consequences of your inaction
>>25358923it's not rocket science; they want to go after your kids.tons of analogies to use.the longhouse.witches coven/hags.all apt/accurate modelling of evil (influencing people in every direction but God/Good)
>>25360780>longhousefascinating political phenomenon to study though
>>25358923>it would just be nice if we had a modern day equivalent of Richard Scarry or whatever.Richard Scarry's books are full of a bunch of animals getting along even though they're cats and hippos and pigs and mice and worms, seems too diverse and liberal for you. Sorry for your kids that they have a parent scared of anything more left leaning than a Farmer's Almanac
