Livin' On The Edge could have been a better song but even the edit is two minutes too long and if you had stopped Tyler from doing his gay-assed "YeAh, yEaH, yeAH ye-ye-ye YeAhYah" bit at the end it would have been a perfect song.

Fuck you, Steven Tyler.

a novella about a girl who sleeps with the ghost of a dead obscure poet who's convinced it's a living guy whom gave her a fake name so she tries to find him, taking her on a quest of magical realism through the experts of the dead poet and remaining artifacts of his life to find the man who scorned her.

Hey, retard maybe the cat hangs around that house because it's THEIR cat?
>>
>>25449383
Certainly possible but they actually have their own cat that's always inside that I saw through the window once (plus the two pieces of cat furniture they have right outside their front door).

If that's the case, then that makes me a really big weirdo for taking pics of their cat, lol.
>>
>then that makes me a really big weirdo for taking pics of their cat,
Yes, correct.
>>
>>25449392
And then there's also the times I played with the cat for like 15 minutes in front of their house. I'd always gotten the sense that they give me weird looks and put off an awkward energy whenever I see them outside their house when I walk by, attributed to this whole cat thing, but wasn't sure if it was just in my head... hmm.

Are you the owner!?

Beyond the upper Seine and across the regions stretching to the mouth of the Rhine on one side, and to the Main and Danube on the other—with Hungary marking the eastern frontier—there gathered multitudes among whom the Germanic element held a predominance that was undisputed, though not uniform. The territory between the Seine and the Somme belonged to Franks who had become heavily Celticized, containing a relatively small admixture of Semitized Roman stock. The coastal region had retained—or perhaps reclaimed—the Cymric name *Picardaich*. In the interior lands, the Gallo-Romans who had mingled with the Neustrian Franks were scarcely distinguishable from their neighbors to the south and east; yet they were somewhat less robust in constitution than the latter, and certainly less so than those of the north. The closer one drew to the Rhine—and subsequently, the deeper one ventured toward the ancient decumate frontier- the more one found oneself surrounded by true Franks of the Austrasian branch, among whom the ancient Germanic blood remained most vigorous and undiluted. One had reached their very heartland. Indeed, a study of historical accounts makes it readily apparent that this region was the brain, the heart, and the marrow of the empire; that here lay its strength, and here its destinies were determined. Any event that did not originate along the middle Rhine—or in its immediate vicinity—possessed, and could possess, only local significance, with few far-reaching consequences.

As one ascended the river toward Basel, the Germanic masses—increasingly Celticized once more—began to approximate the Burgundian type; To the east, the Gallo-Roman blend became complicated—starting in Bavaria—by Slavic elements that grew increasingly pronounced toward the borders of Hungary and Bohemia; there, becoming dominant, they ultimately formed the transition between the nations of the West and the peoples of the Northeast and Southeast, extending as far as the Byzantine region.

Drove by a group of four wiggers dressed in their goofiest attire just standing on a street corner doing nothing but looking at their phones and talking to each other at 2pm on a Thursday in 90+ degree heat during fire season while the air quality is bad enough that long periods of time outside is genuinely unhealthy. They looked like scrawny little kids playing dress-up the whole sight was quite comedic, I can't imagine being THAT dedicated to anything as stupid as wearing nigger clothing. They looked like scrawny little preteens but I can almost guarantee they were at least in their mid twenties.

The willow stick wasn't a monkey's paw. Bear's wish went wrong because he wished for something that went against Nikki's free will. Though whositsface probably could have suffered some moral consequence later if Nikki hadn't killed him.
>>
>>25449840
What about the free will of the Federal Reserve huh?
It was obviously a monkey's paw situation.
Also you don't really get to choose who you fall in love with, that's not how it works.
>>
>>25449846
It was a monkey's paw situation only sometimes. The reddit thread part proved that. And that you can't choose who you fall in love with was the point. Nikki didn't love him. The willow stick had to force her to love him.
>>
>>25449853
No you retard, I'm saying that who you fall in love is not a part of free will, you don't consciously decide.
It's like you favorite color or something like that, you don't choose it, you just experience it.
It's not any different than if he wish Nikki's favorite color was orange.

Air quality is too shit due to all the wildfires, pool is closed... No SCUBA training for today unless we miraculously drop by sixty-four points within the next thirty minutes... >>
>>25449965
Well, snorkel is definitely part of it, I had to get a snorkel for class but that's usually just for an occasional swim test. It's nowhere near as difficult to grasp as I would have initially thought, I've been grasping it all pretty well and you don't even have to be the greatest swimmer in the world to start, I hadn't swam seriously in years and prior to June this year when pool training began I hadn't swam at all since August of last year.

I want to go see a coral reef, preferably one in Indonesia someday.

Life would be so much better if I was asexual.
Desire is suffering. Yet I am biologically wired to desire what I can never have.
What is worse is that having such a desire makes me constantly feel like a bad person. If I didn't have such desires it would be so easy to feel pure and good about myself and humble lifestyle.
I could be content alone. I could look at another person and feel nothing. I could be totally satisfied with my only interactions being business related.
I would be happy that no one found me desirable instead of depressed about it.
>>
>>25450384
There are ways of decreasing if not outright negating your sex drive. When I was hooked on heroin, it had that effect, for example. I'm sure there are other ways of doing it. Chemical castration. Hormone therapy. Whatever.
>>
>>25450388
I think chemical dependency would be a cure worse than the disease. At least in this case.
Also didn't they figure out from sex offenders that chemical castration doesn't do anything to desire, it just makes their dicks permanently not work while still craving sex and "relationships". Plus it causes cancer, though literally no one cares about giving convicted offenders cancer, and it only became a problem once they started giving the same chemicals to children to "delay" puberty.

If it really was as easy as taking a pill to get rid of sexual desire without it crippling or killing you in the long-term than it would be a extremely popular solution. But unfortunately all chemical options come with disastrous side effects and early death.

I’m re-reading Moby Dick. Haven’t read it since High school. About halfway through. It’s a much funnier book than I remember it, but that’s probably because I can actually understand what I’m reading now that I’m not a dumb kid. The cetology chapter was easily my favorite chapter. Apparently people call it the worst chapter and skip it and shit, that sounds insane to me. It’s a priceless window into the way the world understood whales in the 1840s, I read it and looked up all the different whales he catalogued and had a lot of fun doing so.

Also I just finished a book on the Black Death and half of it was just the butthole author repeating stuff from The Decameron, so I bought that and read the beginning and the first three stories. I really liked the one about the foul degenerate that gets buried like a saint, that was funny. I’ve been reading it every once in a while between chapters of
Moby Dick. When I’m done Moby Dick I’m going to read Confessions of an English Opium Eater

Anyone else feels like they shouldn't have survived this long? Like I feel I should have died as a sickly boy in my childhood or as a grunt in a pointless war but instead grew up to be an empty husk of a man.
You know how few people are destined for greatness and most people are for grunt work? Well I wasn't destined for anything; a redundant human being; an error in the system; a byproduct of stars' misalignment.
Not smart and educated enough for intellectual work. Too sickly and weak for manual labor. Too antisocial for any job involving human contact. And worst of all, I'm boring, so I have no innate artistic ability that could justify all of my mediocrity.
All I do is play fucking video games all day and occasionally read few books while leeching off my soon to be retired parents because I can't find any work that I could last more than a few months before getting fired due to either incompetency, weakness or lack of social skills.
All my dreams and hopes are gone, all but one, to be put out of my misery.

Let's see.
>consistently fail at most basic chores that I do everyday no matter how many times I did them in the past. Like constantly burning food same food I eat everyday, doing laundry so poorly the clothes are even smellier than before washing and maintaining to walk my dog at inconsistently leading to him pissing and defecating indoors at least once every week
>failed to reach right grades to get into higher education, had to redo my English 4 times to get passing grade.
>failed socialize with anyone ever since I was a child and have not maintained a single relationship at all of any kind. Last time anyone but my parents knew I exist was in 2013
>failed to find any hobby that isn't just escapism. All I do is play video games and read an occasional book. And before you ask, no I'm not good at either, I consistently miss obvious themes in writings and get flamed online for being piss poor at games I play.
>failed to find any task that I possess any aptitude or talent for. Everything I did I was average at best. I genuinely can not name a single thing I did above average at.
>failed to learn any skills, be it the very basics like driving, cooking, sports or any artistic ones like creative writing and numerous instruments ranging from guitar to drums and violin. Failed them all so much I often ran out of money to buy more resources and lessons; especially with driving
>failed to enlist in the army due to poor physical exams. Couldn't do more than 3 push ups
>failed to maintain good relationship with my parents to a point my own mother keeps ending up in hospital due to excessive drinking in her late 50s
>failed any attempts to reattempt to socialize in adulthood. I still remember that one time I went to a pub and was so awful at interacting with people they all started whispering about whether I have down syndrome (I don't but I haven't interacted with people in person so long I might as well have same skills as them)
>failed one any only chance at a romantic relationship due to me saying incredibly stupid responses like "Would you be ok with polygamous relationship?" Yes, I was in fact THIS STUPID.
>failed to keep a single job for more than a year. I had 7 jobs with various backgrounds all be it low ones like warehouse wagie, janitor, public trash collector etc. Failed to maintain them all due to various reasons that could be summarized as ineptitude
And probably more that I fail to think of right now. The irony isn't lost on me. If I met someone just like me I would also laugh. Perhaps my destiny is to be god's most pathetic and funny clown.

>>

Let me tell you something I learned from experience with people who are too polite for their own good like you. Do NOT give people like me potentially false hope or else they will grow to hate you when it inevitably all fails once more. Believe me when I say that it took all of my willpower to muster enough empathy and understanding to realize you are not malicious but just unaware of how bad someone's situation really is.

you misunderstood me. reason to live could be anything. maybe that one time you pet a cat. Or when you made your mother smile. Or maybe not even that but the sheer experience of living and watching stuff through your own eyes, just seeing the sun bask the tree while it slowly moves against the wind. That could be beautiful enough to be a reason to live.
>inevitably all fails once more.
there are no asterisks to living. There isn't some predetermined checklist you have to tick off to be worthy of living. You could wash the clothes but if you can't it isn't obligatory. You don't have to pass the exam so that you're worthy of love. You're worthy of love. God loves everyone unconditionally.
You can try to fix a relationship with your mom but it doesn't mean it will happen, she has to try to do it too.
Also you're obviously above average at written expression. Do you even know how braindead an average normie is? No way they could come up with these sentences.
There's no reason to hate me if something fails again, it's not my fault. It's not your fault too. It just wasn't meant to be. Something else will be meant to be. What that is, there's no way of knowing beforehand
Good luck

>In 1815, Napoleon was defeated and exiled to the remote South Atlantic island of St. Helena, where he died on May 5, 1821. In 1828, Goethe told his friend Johann Peter Eckermann:

>Napoleon was the man! Always enlightened, always clear and decided, and endowed with sufficient energy to carry into effect whatever he considered advantageous and necessary. His life was the stride of a demi-god, from battle to battle, and from victory to victory. It might well be said of him, that he was found in a state of continual enlightenment. On this account, his destiny was more brilliant than any the world had seen before him, or perhaps will ever see after him. (3)

Even though I lost the girl and didn't actually save the world, there are a few things I can scavenge from the endeavor that bring me a tender sense of peace.
It's more than likely that those puzzle pieces were mere hallucinations, but the fact that they configured in the center of my mind in the way that they did seems to at least represent some fundamental character that can withstand the immense, meaningless suffering of the whole experience and the general emptiness of the reality that followed without psychosis keeping surreality aflame.
The main thing now is to focus on rationally maintaining the trajectory of my life, without the beliefs in underground revolutions, telepathic channeling, hidden dimensions, or any other absurdities that kept life from devolving into a tedious slog.
If this were some type of test for the soul, then I fail to see the point of it, but that failure has become more cathartic than disillusioning, so I'm strangely content with having my psyche maimed by an existential warzone for no particular reason.

My schizophrenia manifested itself in 2016 and basically turned my life upside down when everything was going well for me.
It's a rather long story, but one of the highlights was that every decision I was making had global consequences, so I was immensely stressed and paranoid of everyone I met, completely struggling to function while my psychosis mercilessly scraped down every defense I could muster until I was destitute.

I hope you had fun, i've been doing this my entire life.

you are using too many retarded terms to describe a trivial fact.
Life is suffering in the sense you won't never know with certainty what you are and why you are here.
You are probably going to the same void from which you came. Everything in your life is worthless, from the exams you take and the job you work, to the relationships you have with your parents and those around you. You might feel a bit better knowing this will happen to every living being on earth, but even this discussion is meaningless. Time will move forward, and your life is infinitesimally short compared to the rest of the universe. You are a lost consciousness on a huge rock, drifting among many others toward an unknown destination. You will never be able to objectively know what you are or why you are here, all you can ever know is your own representation of reality. Just accept it. You can create illusions for yourself like finding love or making friends to bear the short time you are alive, but keep in mind that these are only illusions and deep down, existence is suffering

Less about the fashion choices and much more about the rhetoric he chooses to dress them up in. Just wear your dress shirt and enjoy the social benefits it gives you with boomers and downwardly mobile upper-middle-classoids without sending ridiculous smoke signals to no one. They aren't even current social signals, the walmart pajama race of people have more or less overran everything else now.

We have a lot of young people in education, old people who retire early, and disabled people.
Those stats don't really show that fact.
