>fiction isn't real m8, it never even 'appened innit

This is such a midwit take. If it wasn't true, it wouldn't be compelling to read. Fiction can often be more real than reality itself because it contains archetypical truths that transcend events, and time and space itself.

well noel gallagher is essentially a retard anyway, always has been

A degenerate druggie who made a handful of decent songs has an opinion?
>>
>>25470621
If it never happened, then the person who first wrote it down obviously must have made it up. Thus all myths are in fact fiction. This argument you are trying to make is just a pathetic attempt by the "muh fiction bad" crowd to not seem too uncultured and stupid because everyone would mock you even harden if you were to proudly admit to never having read Homer, Vergil or Dante.
>>

I think non-fictionfags are mostly people thinking they're repeating something they heard about the difference between fantasy and high fantasy, they conflate that with the most general word that sounds like fantasy which is fiction and then they think the thing they're repeating is that fiction is bad because it's not high fiction like mythology. Which is a false dichotomy, fiction is a pretty general term and they either get exposed to a lot of low quality fiction to have that opinion or else they're not very good at writing fiction and are likely trying to shut something really good down that they're incapable of replicating themselves personally so that it doesn't shine brighter than them. And I think you can do the math yourself on how compelling the writing is behind Noel's statement

Ah yes, cause human memory, perception, and honesty are all perfect.

Uncritically treating non-fiction as the truth makes you a shit reader and a useful rube.

This is why i dont feel ashamed of liking Harry Potter as a guilty pleasure and laugh at people who tell me X fiction series is better. If you want to start getting pretentious about what you are reading then either talk to me about non-fiction or im not going to be able to take you seriously.
>>
>>25471214
>human memory is not 100% perfect, so made up nonsense and bullshit must be equal
The fictioncuck reveals himself as a liar, a manipulator and a nonsense maker, the only reason you'd read fiction is to become a better spinner of lies, also you sound like a woman, which explains why women are so heavily into fiction and react with revulsion to non-fiction (truth)

government imposes racial quotas upon universities for them to get their funding. it's illegal so you can sue over it but even losing the lawsuits is less of an expense than losing the funding so they don't care. anyway, don't go to a black doctor.

Yes. That's generally how it works. You reference things you've read, watched, or listened to, or visually seen if it's art/painting/physical media.
>>
>>25471336
>3.3 gpa is bad actually
okay then

Oasis and especially the Gallaghers are like if Train (who made “hey soul sister”) acted as if they were The Clash or The Misfits instead of an extremely mainstream poprock band who can’t write a song that doesn’t sound like all their other already released songs. Having them take a side in a debate is essentially a guarantee that the side in question is at best populated by pretentious midwits, and more likely is populated by retarded bugmen npcs

despite noel's output being oasis lyrics and noel gallagher lyrics, noel is actually a creative person so having to listen/read other creative peoples output is a waste of time. he has his own creative ideas, even if some of them are the lyrics to Columbia, so can imagine more interesting (to him) fictional scenarios and doesn't need to read fiction.
it is a waste of time. he can imagine a better fiction novel than he can read.
>>
>>25469517

true, but often it is Twilight.

>>
>>25471259
>>people stretch the truth

>>
>>25471257
It's the other way around. You read """non-fiction""" to better manipulate the gullible masses into believing in communism or the holocaust, since unlike the Lord of the Rings they seriously believe it can actually happen because a book labeled non-fiction told them so.
>>
>>25471386
>niggers are bad
Yes.
>>
>>25472678
No, that's just stupid. Writing is a craft and creativity is only one small part of what it takes to write a great novel. It also requires going through a lot of early drafts, working on strong outlines, doing research, countless rewriting and corrections etc. Tolstoy didn't just one day start daydreaming and then the final draft of Anna Karenina magically appeared in his head.
>>
>>25469475
Listening to Oasis sounds like waste of time to me

3.3 gpa is bad if you're white or asian, but if you're brown, you get the red carpet treatment.
Wouldn't surprise me at all if high schools intentionally boost brown kid gpas as well. A black kid with a 3.3 would probably be a 2.0 if he was white or asian.
>>
>>25472678
Given the quality of Oasis' lyrics, he definitely should've paid more attention to other peoples' creative output because most of them are better at writing than him.
