I'm nothing more than a fat, fucking Jew.
so what did I miss this week? Anyone do anything exciting?? or are you all still walking around aimlessly in a circle until Father Time ends your internal clock?
What's the deal with Jerry Seinfeld? Coasted off Larry David to mask his unfunny standup, banged some questionably aged girls in the 90s, and is a raging right wing zionist. What a guy
>>25512620he is the ubermensch
>>25512620yeah it does seem like larry david did the heavy lifting doesn't it. also during covid he tells everyone to stay in nyc and ride out the lockdowns meanwhile he's living in a mansion on long island.
i got into running
I really want to get stoned. It's been about a week or so now. During the days, once the grogginess has passed -- I'm consuming serious NyQuil to sleep -- I feel like I'm more alert, confident, energetic, et cetera. But then at night, I get so tired and desperate for any sort of mental change-up. It's not so much that I'm depressed, I've been pretty even keel the last couple years (not much joy in my life, generally, but no real despair either). It's just this tension, an internal motor always going, rolling out thoughts. Not new thoughts, almost entirely re-runs: despair at the prospect of working at ____ for the rest of my life, fear of getting fired (I do as little 'real work' as possible), anxiety to complete any sort of worthwhile writing. I average two or three decent sentences before I get bored with myself and start rambling, aimlessly filling pages. If I do interiority, I can't work in action. If I do action, it's flat on the page. Sometimes I wish I had no creative compulsion. A big thing that's put me off medication is the risk that I won't want to write; but when I think about it, is that really so bad? It's not like I'm throwing out a prospective career. I have interesting ideas, and even with the best ones, plots I'd love to read in the hands of another author, I am incapable of doing anything interesting. A good opening, and some decent character work at best. Would being freed from this need be such a bad thing?
