Once again, /lit/ is a classical boardhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjlO0ABn3vQ
Does else anyone notice when you rail off for ten minutes and you just talk over the rest of us who have to cancel what we're saying after three words because you're just not fucking listening? Five, ten, fiteen, twenty, you know we account for that, right? You talking all that much, we're all keeping track. You're just too busy to notice.
If you’ve never pictured yourself half-naked, covered in blood and dancing, arms raised, to Race for the Prize by The Flaming Lips, then I don’t think we can be friends. I need a certain vitality akin to bloodlust in my friends. A person that can understand why one might feel the urge to slit a virgin’s throat and hold them over one’s head, mouth open, tongue out, with dilated eyes in front of a bonfire. To some degree anyway. *shrugs*.
>>25522741I never do that because I'm considerate to a fault. Do I notice when others do it? Sure. But then I always make sure to help the others by going, "so, anyway, X, what were you saying?"
That scene in Mailer's novel An American Dream when the main character climaxes inside the blonde love interest and says, "Shit, so that's what it's all about."
>>25522746My brother, we advocates. It was my father who was lecturing me over the phone, going on about a dead point he had already constantly interrupted my response to, when my mother chimed in on the speakerphone with the clear and simple answer. Dad continues, hearing nothing. Mom says in distant earphone 'no one listens to me!' I yell 'I heard you mom! I hear you!' meanwhile my dad has as always been continuing his deaf spiel. I'm sure he hears us.
Today I diarrheasharted my pants at work (college lecturer)I had enough time to run home and grab a new pair of pants with 30 minutes to spare before class. If it had happened too late, I'd HAVE to cancel, right? I write on the blackboard a lot.Considered cancelling anyway to avoid the absolute nightmare scenario of shitting myself in front of 100 undergraduates, but I decided to chance it wearing 3 pairs of underwear.Moral: always keep a pair of backup pants at your workplace
>>25522757Give me an A or I WILL blackmail you over this. But nah, I'm glad it didn't have any further consequence for you and spiral out of control, anon.
>>25522756>I heard you mom! I hear you!She ain't gonna fuck you lil bro
>>25522756lol is your dad a boomer? Seems to be something they just do.
Women make me SICK SICK SICK, I feel SICK when they talk about how they gave their virginity to someone they didn't even love, I feel SICK when I hear vocal fry and uptalk, I feel SICK when they look at me with that soulless neurotic half-lid look, they make me SICK SICK SICK THEY'RE REPULSIVE
>>25522780Often what people hate most is simply a reflection of themselves. You must get on HRT and become my little princess to get over this.
>>255227701963 born guy, he's a boomer yuppie. Extremely successful guy and he's done well by us but holy fucking shit if being raised under a boomer upper manager wasn't bad enough it'll probably be ten years after retirement before he finds his soul again

>>25522780Seems like the classic resentment of desire withheld.
When I was 9, I was banned from my girlfriend for saying 'my penis' when she said 'I will massage any part of your body'. When I was 14, I was sexually humiliated by my mother from finding release in porn. When I was 18, my parents laughed when I told them I would be taking a girl to prom, and that she was black. My parents proudly brag, they never had to give me 'the talk'.
Gonna go for a walk at 6:30pm if anyone wants to join me. It's 84F so dress accordingly!
>>25522757I wet the bed recently. Felt awful about it. Last time it happened I was like 12 and it was also an isolated incident that made me feel like an immature retard. Funnily enough this last time was shortly after I had read something about how bedwetting and constant urination are children's psychological reactions to repressed sexuality or some shit like that.
>>25522820I thought it was sexual abuse?
Seeing the dentist tomorrow, oh praise Jesus.
>>25522821Maybe? might've been about something more generic like sexual trauma, and I'd consider sexual repression pretty traumatic regardless. on that note I see younger people are getting increasingly repressed which I find funny but worrying.
>>25522795>just read demonic ramblingsI'm good.
POF is dogshit bro.
Got into an argument with my mom. She has vascular dementia so there is no point to it because she won’t remember it anyway, just a bad feeling she’ll keep with her now without context, but I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I told her to leave me alone if this is going to be her attitude. Which I did mean, but it won’t stick and her attitude won’t change so it’s not like I want her to leave me alone forever. Not that that could ever happen, she needs me to take care of her. This is hard to write but maybe some part of me does want her to leave me alone forever. This is something I’ve been struggling with ever since her dementia got really bad. Of course I will take care of her because of the person she used to be, a great mom and probably the most upstanding, warm, caring person I knew. But this new person she has become is just hateful and negative and I don’t know how to help it. And it’s not even her fault. It’s also not like I can have a conversation with her about it either. I can’t reason with the disease to back off and bring my mom back because we need to have a talk. Just sad and at a loss right now.
>>25522899I'm sorry man. C'mere.
>>25522899I wish you all luck anon, you are being a good person.
Timbaland was the sound of the 00s. Oneohtrix Point Never was the sound of the 10s even if the closest he came to mainstream was two A24 movies. I wasn’t conscious any other decade so my opinion doesn’t matter for them anyways even if I could come up with an interesting answer.
Hmm let's see what this Sarah J Maas gal is all about. She's got so many readers surely her writing is->After a year of slavery in the Salt Mines of Endovier, Celaena Sardothien was accustomed to being escorted everywhere in shackles and at sword-point. Most of the thousands of slaves in Endovier received similar treatment—though an extra half-dozen guards always walked Celaena to and from the mines. That was expected by Adarlan’s most notorious assassin. What she did not usually expect, however, was a hooded man in black at her side—as there was now.>He gripped her arm as he led her through the shining building in which most of Endovier’s officials and overseers were housed. They strode down corridors, up flights of stairs, and around and around until she hadn’t the slightest chance of finding her way out again.>At least, that was her escort’s intention, because she hadn’t failed to notice when they went up and down the same staircase within a matter of minutes. Nor had she missed when they zigzagged between levels, even though the building was a standard grid of hallways and stairwells. As if she’d lose her bearings that easily. She might have been insulted if he wasn’t trying so hard.>They entered a particularly long hallway, silent save for their footsteps. Though the man grasping her arm was tall and fit, she could see nothing of the features concealed beneath his hood. Another tactic meant to confuse and intimidate her. The black clothes were probably a part of it, too. His head shifted in her direction, and Celaena flashed him a grin. He looked forward again, his iron grip tightening*In Ignatius Reilly's voice*OHMY GOD

I think that the biggest pedagogical problem is the fact that many people are not actually capable of understanding anything at all, and instead we condition behavioural mimicry by rote learning. Functional illiteracy in first world populations is proof of this, and if it were not the case we could hand any tradesman a manual on a given piece of equipment and would be able to figure it out. Instead we're reduced to treating our fellow man like beasts of burden that have to be trained and conditioned to perform tricks. A symptom of this is the condescending manner of every first aid instructor in the world. They would be throwing treats at you if they could.

>Descartes lived in Holland comfortably but not luxuriously. He devoted one day a week to correspond ence. He read little. In twenty years, he said, he did not open a scholastic textbook. He had little respect for the classics; there was no more need to know Latin and Greek, he thought, than the rustic dialects of Brittany. He brought few books from Paris; among them were a Bible and a Summa of Saint Thomas. He experimented in optics and physiology, grinding his own lenses and purchasing carcasses from the butcher for dissection. When a stranger asked to see his library, he pointed to a half-dissected calf: "There are my books," he said.Lol

>>25523127There's heavy construction going on right next to my apartment block. They have set up their site on a large grass area which my apartment overlooks. At 6am they start work and from that point I can look forward to 12 hours of sounds of heavy machinery, buzz saws, engines roaring, people yelling and similar grating noises. My favorite one is the loud beeping from the trucks whenever they reverse, which they seem to do a lot.Since this work has gone on, I only get five or six hours of sleep most nights, which often results in me getting a headache during the day. Even when it's quiet, the apprehension that a large engine might start roaring at any point is enough to give me a sense of disquiet. When I lie down at midday to try and nap, I feel the cortisol pumping through my veins and I am unable to fall asleep.I don't tolerate unpleasant noises well under normal circumstances and so the present circumstances feel like a personal hell designed just for me. I feel a lot of anger and spite at being in this hell but I have nowhere to direct it, really. I can slam my doors, knock over my chairs and punch the walls, but the workers carry on with their work regardless and with no care for the autistic fits that I put on up here in my apartment. I'll fantasize about throwing a wrench into whatever machine is making a noise or even about killing whoever is operating it. But I'll never do it, of course. It feels very personal, like all this obnoxious noise is directed at me specifically, but of course it isn't. I know it isn't. All the work going on out there serves a useful purpose.Pic related is the groundskeeper yesterday deciding that he needed to mow the tiny patch of grass that is still left around the periphery of where they've set up the site, just below my window -- a narrow slither of grass, which is barely even wide enough for the lawn mower to pass over and which had already been thoroughly beaten down by all the construction vehicles going back and forth over it. This added a particularly loud buzzing noise on top of the usual cacophony of the site. As of this morning the same patch of grass has been mostly dug up by a large excavator which is also very noisy. I don't know why.
How can I be mentally and emotionally stronger? I'm already 33 and have had some experiences that should have "tempered" me but still I am a little bitch sometimes, specially when it comes to loneliness and rejection

Cars want to drive. Due to their design, even without an engine they could still roll around.Airplanes want to fly. Due to their design, even without an engine they could still glide.Helicopters want to FALL TO THE GROUND. The engine and propellers' purpose is to keep the helicopter from fulfilling it's natural purpose, which is to crash into the ground killing everyone on board.
>>25523984It's the second one.

Gonna spend the next month reading DeLillo's novels The Names, White Noise, and Libra.
I work as a designer for a small print company, we do things like basic copy/print work and graphic design work for different clients. I also do art and commissions on the side for an extra penny... and lately there's something that's been bothering me about my jobs:Back in the boom of the AI generative fiasco, I was getting constantly clowned at, being told my ass was getting replaced frame 0 and all my jobs were going to be taken over by the funny prompt machine. I kept myself optimistic about my jobs being left alone, arguing things like "Those who want actual quality, full control and genuine craft will NOT use AI for the final product" and "People who do not seek or appreciate artistic services were not going to be part of the demographic anyways". Part of myself thought I was being naïve or unrealistic and humans ability to not give a fuck was going to prove me wrong... and I was sort of proven wrong as some people ended up using AI for their businesses and art shenanigans. Keyword: "Sort of."Years into my commission works and months into my design job, I've stumbled upon clients that share a very peculiar pattern: They hand me AI generated references and tell me to do something based on them, because apparently the funny prompt box is not good enough for them or they still hold some candle for the idea of telling a human to draw for them.So I sit here, five years into this fiasco, looking at an AI reference that I have to replicate to the best of my human abilities, using conventional graphic design procedures and techniques... and I ask myself: Wasn't I supposed to be getting replaced?
>>25524106I've read them all, even twice I think, my favorite of those is The Names

>>25524073>>25524746Y-you guys realize the boipussy tattoo isn't literal, right...?
Hi guys, im back! Did you miss me?
>>25524771I'm not a nice person. Don't ruminate on the idea of being sick holding you back. It's terrible for personal development because attributing whatever shortcomings you have to the idea of sickness makes it harder to move forward. Small victories. Your focus is bad, no doubt sickness plays a part in that, but ruminating on what you're missing out on isn't going to do you any good. Do what you can when you can do it and appreciate it for what it is. It's good to feel proud for overcoming tough periods but dwelling on the fact you achieved less than you should have and turning that into a reason to feel sorry for yourself is only going to fuck you up even more. If you're a crap writer when you're sick you're a crap writer. So be it. Just write junk for the sake of the hobby, who cares if you impress others, or find something else to do. Maybe writing isn't your outlet when you're sick. Find a more passive hobby, one more conducive to distraction instead of flow, like listening to music or get a keyboard to fuck around on.

Screenplay has now incorporated a global conspiracy to infuse a neurotoxic compound created by Zeta Reticulans that impairs human cognition, but suppresses homicidal tendencies into the world's milk supplies, and that the CIA actively suppresses any scientific discovery of a link between lactose intolerance and sociopathty to keep the operation concealed from humanity. It may be a decent film, though its intentional badness would most likely polarize audiences.Regardless, it's genuinely fun to create, even though I'm almost 100% certain it is never going anywhere.

What is it like to actually be a subhuman, mentally, physically and spiritually. Not like venting, but like an actual question. How frequent are the urges to kill yourself, what stops you?
Nixon destroying our biological weapons stockpile justified our hegemony a million times over. America was better than the world deserved. Hopefully we don't lose.
>>25525167You're oblivious to it. You might go around using filler words such as "like" so much that you even write with it too. You'll sound retarded but people are too polite to tell you.
>>25525193Okay, so long as i dont see anything and you're not doxxing me I dont really care.If you did, you can at least have the common courtesy to tell me what you've done.
>>25525167It's kind of whatever. You don't really hold the same standards of personal value to be intrinsically valid as the ones legitimate humans apply to themselves, so there's a degree of liberation involved in recognizing your own lack of humanity.A human may sneer at you and condescend for your uncivilized behavior, but it's kind of a pointless gesture because most subhumans are genuinely numb to the judgment of your everyday people, so they just end up puffing up and saying mean things as if it's some consequential display of power, when mostly it's just empty positioning based upon trivial reasoning. It's like Elon Musk.If I were to adhere to the metric of personal wealth as a valid indicator of superiority, I would basically be obligated to offer my butthole to Mr. Musk free of charge as an act of compliance with the social order. But I don't. I think he's kind of a douche, and you probably won't accept that he's a superior human being to you for whatever arbitrary reasons you happen to believe, either. So, I basically live in a very primitive, animalistic sense. I can entertain my brain with more higher-level pursuits like reading philosophy or playing chess, but this intellectual stimulation isn't coupled with the same degree of vanity that you see in most humans. As for suicide, I don't feel the urge to kill myself even remotely. Life isn't particularly worth living, but it's also not something worth ending, either. That's that, I guess. I still find it strange that people still categorize others as subhuman as if any rational mind would actually be offended by the accusation, but I suppose people need to establish whatever type of hierarchy in society in order to feel secure with themselves, even though most people who do just like pissing on those below, while accepting being pissed on by those above, which seems kind of cowardly, in my opinion.Whatever, penis cheese.https://youtu.be/14h2_kobufQ?is=loq5Ysl90V5MqNLC
>>25525206>ChessYour bastardizations of me are so childish and over the top that I initially dont even realize they're directed at me and they lose all mmeaning. My problem is that I just think too much, I do a better job flagellating myself than you could ever dream of.
>>25525213>ChessWhat about it? It's a game that requires genuine brain power. Not every chess master is a genius, but it's one of the more intellectually rigorous games that exists. As for the rest of your post, this just seems like crybaby bullshit, because the real content of my post was only implicitly calling you a douche, when the majority of it was describing the flaws in your system of reasoning that has resulted in a type of insufferable narcissism usually reserved for spoiled children with above average intellects.Regardless, virtually nobody gives even the slightest shit that you consider them subhuman, because it's a banal insult reserved for elitists that lack the intellectual humility to offer anything of real substance of society, so, eat a penis, retard.
>>25525226>banal insultYou've put a MONSTROUS amount of energy in this instead of doing something human. You kind of just seem to enjoy parasitically messing with people and piggybacking their ideas.Your ego is heavily tied to this dying shit hole. Which is strange, because this place is meaningless to me if you can grasp tthat.when someone gained the balls to confront you, you will not share any details despite essentially shadowing me.You feel bloodless, yet cruel. And you probably dont have a mound of accomplishments to retroactively justify your existence or identity even in lulls or psychosis. You feel entirely insincere, poisoned all the way to the bone. You dont strike me as a human. Thats what I mean by subhuman.

I'm just spitting in the face of a manchild with a superiority-complex. This does not really require much effort on my end, so why you see it as I'M EXHAUSTING THE VERY FABRIC OF MY SOUL IN ORDER TO DEMEAN YOU is something I don't really have substantial insight into, so am just going to assume it's because you're a spooge-stain.>shadowing me, not giving you details, I'm also a retarded spazoid.I'm just commenting on your retarded posts to call you a retard, in rather conventional 4chan fashion. I've given you details of my personal philosophy, but you didn't really seem to process them in any type of coherent way, and just concentrated them into pure, unmitigated butthurt. As for accomplishments of whatever validating my life, I've probably lived a more adventurous life than many other people, which doesn't necessarily mean that my life is worth more than theirs, but rather that, to me, it's been one that I'd happily conclude with death at this point. You still seem to be stuck on this need to feel superior to me in some way, which I honestly see as kind of silly, if not outright pathetic, but don't really feel compelled to convince you otherwise because however you manage to structure your self-esteem is genuinely inconsequential to me, so I just see it as something only worthy of half-assed derision.>That's what I mean by subhuman.Oh, glad you clarified. Now I can correct and ascend. Thanks.Penis-head.

The guy behind Turnip 28 kind of pisses me off. Not for anything serious. His work iwith Swill is just wasted potential imo. He has this setting, swill, an underground 19th century industrial city that is phenomenal, very captivating to me. The setting has always been a bit one note, of course, everything was about Fish and cigarettes (which I don't like but can tolerate). But now he seems to be taking the setting in the direction of making everyone there into one of his signature Weird Little Guys. This more or less dilutes the already somewhat tenuous victorian veneer of the setting into nothing. Which I dislike because for me a large part of what makes Turnip28 work is that the vegetables do not over-take literally everything else, there are still other things aside from them. That said his penchant for having tubers and roots tied to fucking everything does get on my nerves a bit. I think it would look better and still get the point across if hehad some parsimony in design.
I should probably just take my idea of what the setting&game should be and make it into something without any relation to Swill. Probably a videogame, I know how to code you know. Allegedly.

I’m not one to give up and I will keep writing because I love it but it’s a bit discouraging no other reader will see my stuff and at least relate. I don't really have many friends. Three to be exact. Not much, but enough to feel some degree of social adequacy. Now I feel much more like becoming friendless, because even though I can be socially functional, there seems to be some type of significant defect in my personality that prevents me from connecting with anyone in any significant way. What I experience instead is a disjointed rhythm of hollow superficialities, where I feel as if the personalities I'm interacting with are ghostly impressions being processed by a slowly dying, broken mind.Strangely, isolating myself from the world has resulted in a type of rejuvination of the soul, where I've begun to emotionally regress to a point similar to myself at thirteen, when I was genuinely content, and didn't really have an interest in other people. This is, admittedly, somwhat of a sad transition, because it's the culmination of a fractured idealism that's been integral to my psyche for over a decade, though much of the results I've experienced so far have been somewhat promising, albeit stubbornly elusive./lit/ is my tumblr now. A cold, rainy morning will turn into a hot, humid afternoon before a sweaty evening in bed, covering and uncovering yourself trying to get cool enough to fall asleep. The same as the day before and the same as the next day, you suddenly hope. There is a third and ever-present option that could remove any of these complaints. It would do you well to remember that the next time you’re in bed and are too cold. No need for a comforter when this thought enters your mind and first a chill creeps up from your toes and into your stomach which drops inward into your bowels and then leaps up your spine and into your head and the energy is now blazing hot so you’re sweating and you can’t see anything but wait your eyes are closed so you open them and can see what your eyes allowed in that adapted dark of the room so you try to sit up in bed but your heart is crying to crash out of your chest and you think it better not to rise since doing so might unwittingly suck you through a black hole orbiting just above your head promising a different maladapted dark no eyes can adjust to save maybe One’s and that One is going to walk through your door and remove the weighted blanket of Death and send you floating or maybe this is what you wanted all along to finally be released from the constant pressure in your chest and the rushing water in your head all day long reaching its boiling point in the shower when it overflows out of your eyes and you just want to be cool enough to sleep or maybe cold, as cold as you can be. You put both elbows behind you on the bed to prop yourself up. You are ready to accept that deep sleep you’ve been wishing for all this time. You spring up, hoping to phase through the portal into nothing. You blink. You’re standing beside your bed, sweating and still, and realize the sun has come up and it’s raining.

I'm watching period shows like Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime and it's kinda funny how everyone mentions how beautiful the clothing (among other things) is. And it's not even because it's especially made for those shows or even formal clothing, it's kinda regular, everyday dresses and suits from the time. It made me wonder if in one hundreds years people will have the same perception of post-60s fashion, especially the one from the 2000s, or if it'll be seen as mid.
Just made a Reddit pod with minimal requirement for 300 characters. I feel like a writer who gets paid by word.
My ability to rationalize abusing my medicine/drugs is unparalleled. This morning, I took one-third of my prescribed dose. I feel energetic, my mind is pellucid, and my sex drive robust (normally I can't get a hard-on until at least ten hours after I take my dose!). The trade-off, of course, is less of the euphoric side effect, the recreational bliss of taking too much of the stuff. It's like barely there. But that's fine, because when you have that 24/7, it makes you lazy and unmotivated (ie why do anything to improve my life when I feel awesome already by just taking this stuff?)All of that sounds great, right? Except now my mind is going "okay, so now that you proved you can take one-third of your dose and be okay, why not take more now and have some fun -- you can always take that smaller dose and be productive tomorrow ;)". So insidious. And effective.
None of you are very interesting, which really explains why you aren't good writers. Some of you are okay. I'd say that you'd have a decent amount of life experiences to offer substantial insights into society or the human mind, but I'd feel as if they'd mostly be compromised by artistic contrivances designed to merge the text with standards of convention as a reflexive response to being a composite of disconnected influnces that have yet to synthesize into a genuinely original, sincere voice. Most of you are very technically skilled, often employing sophisticated vocabulary in novel, precise ways, but this is often merely the skeletal expression of a mechanistic mind, who understands the intricacies and structure of literature with exceptional skill, but lacks the fundamental spark of primal, creative force that would transform the machine into a work of flesh and bone.Though I do understand the tendency to rely on cynical detachment and visceral irony in order to add some unstable dimension of authenticity and self-awareness to whatever it is you happen to be writing, but these are trivial exercises in fabricating artificial potency that exist to preemptively secure the work from hostile criticisms rather than functioning as a mechanism that develops its internal logic into something more structurally sound, and genuinely resistant to intense scrutiny.I do enjoy most of your absurdist wit, though. You have a legimate talent for assembling wildly incongurent elements into a coherent joke that is ultimately greater than the sum of its parts, and resists being easily deconstructed back into its components. That's a real talent that you should be proud of, though I have to also attest that this quality of content is exceedingly common, and can easily be attributed to the ambient consumption of modern culture rather than a reliable indicator of remarkable intellect, but still, the adaptivity is still there, and that's a defining feature of some rudimentary level of pattern-recognition that most of you should feel a reasonable degree of satisfaction with. That said, I really think you're all pretty cool, and would like to read your gay little novel someday, if you ever finish it, if you're even literate and not just competently pretending.I want to read your book, or your poetry, or your personal philosopical doctrine that you've been sincerely working on like a completely tone-deaf retard.Write it, faggot.Stop being a brooding alcoholic with a penchant for questionable pornography and write something before your life spirals apart into a vicious delerium that strips you of every human impulse.Or not. No one here is that good at writing, anyway.I hope you at least write one thing down that's meaningful to you, that you're genuinely proud of, even if it never reaches the world. You have something to say.Just kidding, you suck.FUCK YOU!
>>25526014Jokes on you, I became a heroin addict for a decade for the sole purpose of mining experiences from one of the biggest epidemics of our era.
>>25525941Who?
>>25526017That's some serious dedication. I only used heroin for two years, and it wasn't really attached to anything that relevant to society, just a craving for a certain drug experience that I found exceptionally stigmatized during a time where I was slowly going insane in a city that operated as a significant cultural nexus.I did, though, for a time, consider really losing myself in drugs so that I could eventually recover and have a substantial story to help other addicts, but this didn't really go anywhere because I decided it wasn't my responsibility in the slightest to help other people recover from their addictions, and that attempting to do so was a type of self-serving martyrdom that was ultimately rooted in self-destructive impulses incorrectly rationalized as a noble sacrifice.

>>25522730Excuse my bad English, this is a self-made translation from German of a book I'm writing. Thoughts? The unreasonable demands of the social democrats spoiled his taste for them, and before settling on classical liberalism, he studied about conservatisme and especially it's historical antecessor, feudalism. From the feudal writers, he learned the thesis of the unchangeableness of the human psycho-social types. Because of a long series of revolutions, little has remained of the 18th Century, but from the 19th Century, yes, someone in touch with human characters will not find it hard to discover, in some modern men, the distant reflection of the early industrial railroad colossus. Perhaps the sympathy he felt for the railroad colossuses of our days, these strongs, these braves who preached sobriety, physical exercise and addiction to profit, would have seduced him to live up to their level, if his books had not taught him to reject materialism as a deadly vice. He read in Plato's Republic and felt himself as a timocrat. Sometimes he liked to see contemporary political conflicts as a conflict between the materialistic oligarchs of Plato and the more egalitarian democrats. However, he soon found flaws in that measure. After his own parents, he was supposed to be a democrat. Perhaps the oligarchic conditions of the last decade had undone his democratic tendencies. He went to school during a time in wich the oligarchy still held some degree of power, even in the big cities. Having been raised democratically at home, he would get mocked and beaten in school because of a supposed cowardice or weakness. The school teachers watched relentlessly, so that [REDACTED] may turn into a strong boy too. So he pulled himself up by the bootstraps, fought back, grew into a man who fought for his honour. Then he became 18 years old and suddenly he was a strong among weaklings. The democratic legislation had reached the flower of it's development. The revolution of 1968 had been a revolution of the democratic characters against the self-righteous oligarchs, but this revolution had to first implement a large series of laws and reforms in order to transcend into the dominant societal force, in wich the remaining oligarchic debris was swiped under the table to never come back. That is how [REDACTED] became an outwardly oligarchic young man during the peak of democratic culture. He had grown into a character that modern society not longer seemed to need. Perhaps he would have become a disillusioned nostalgic, someone in wich an education after an outdated model had reached it's peak during the exact moment oligarchy got thrown off the throne. However, [REDACTED] wasn't just an oligarch, he was the quintessence of the oligarchic ideals themselves. This made him a true nobleman, and rather than fighting for a lost cause, he decided to admit his defeat and compromise with his declared enemy, the democratic character, or what he thought of as effeminate men.

>>25526092I will only engage if you accept my rampant drug use. I find the art world generally pretentious, though mostly impressive and sincere, but my primary source of developing ideas comes from twisting my mind into disorienting configurations so that the conceptual vertigo forces me to develop a perspective that's constructed from a wide variety of incongurent angles, formed in dimensions of thought that are less profound insights into the nature of reality, and more malformed apparitions of cognitive functions that exist on the threshold of significant brain damage. You don't have to join me in my drug use, though I have the somewhat irrational judgment of people who refuse to use drugs, which is a functional inversion of those who consider drugs to be used by degenerate losers, as essentially someone who has no legimate interest in exploring their own mind beyond self-analysis and perhaps meditation, which are both painfully dull to me, and that lack of interest reads as somewhat who is sincerely timid psychologically. I don't push drugs on people, because I find that to be uncivilized, but generally speaking, people who haven't used drugs seem like a person with a permanently incomplete perception of life.

>>25526144Although it can be an annoying platitude at times, it's still basically true, and reducing the situation to extreme doesn't really negate its initial validity. Whereas the Oligarch is someone who, in one word, opresses himself for the sake of keeping a social image and who works hard towards the improvement of his capital assets. His government is built around a parliament of oligarchs who consider anyone thief who questions their perfect glorious order. Nevertheless the different classes gather together until the oligarchs, suddenly fat and panting after the simplest exercise, become muscle-mogged by the more muscular lower classes.Well it's just the first chapter and the theme doesn't really show up again afer. I don't say this to suggest that I'm special in any way, just that my general form of cognition and behavioral traits are genuinely unusual, though not necessarily repulsive, at least not predominantly so. Plenty of people find me irritating, and I often try to adjust as a sign of courtesy rather than compliance, but mostly I'm a recluse with little interest to engage sincerely with anyone, though I do enjoy the general dynamics of casual conversation, even though I'm generally incapable of feeling actually connected to anything in reality other than my own mind. That's that. I was banned earlier so I couldn't tell you this at the best time. Just know... I think you're the world's biggest fucking lolcow.
>>25526238Wow, uh, damn. Talk to her about it.
>>25526181I took her over state lines designing our ultimate first anniversary and she's all excited about the sex we're going to have, and then as my erection weakens from attempting to pierce what is ultimately an improperly prepped and underlubricated hairy pussy, I ask her to make me hard again, she ignores and rolls over and my generous self is saying 'okay I'll just fingerblast her, she's waiting for something, after all'. Turns out later, she silently had assumed I prematurely dry-came or some shit and I got a little soft because I was totally fucking satisfied after 12 seconds of not realizing she wasn't as wet as I thought! I was a fool not to read her mind on that silent and ridiculous claim!I'm deeply hurt and the accusation I am alone to blame for this mishap hurts the most. I never think things are over, I know things are not over, it has been over ten years we have been together and we have seen it all. One thing I have not had the courage to do, is tell my wife Ithink she's ultimately bad at sex. If I did, she would likely transform and improve, but my goodness she acts like if she makes me hard from a handjob then I'm just supposed to be rock-hard as long as she likes and her job is done. I'm not denying the reality of a good male-dominant fuck, we've had plenty of them before, but she's got no participation in making that happen. When it happens, it's because I am the one making it happen. Not because she applies any particular strategy in evoking such rough dominant fucking.Fact is I should have used the lube. I told her that, I should have used the lube. But it's like, I just gave you at least two orgasms by fingerblast, I don't know if you know this babe but I'm not just rock-hard from fingering you. When I said 'touch me' and you said 'what?' that was really insane to me. I mean who rolls over and asks 'did you get everything you needed?' and hears 'no' and then sits there asking 'what do you want' across the bed like it's my job to say to my own wife 'to fucking cum, hopefully inside your pussy, I thought we were trying to conceive for Christ's sake'. Humiliating experience all around. I mean who stands at attention for this?Or like, okay, the other answer is dick pills, but do you see where you have me under notice for male sexual inadequacy,. when you won't even suck my dick? Like, you're bad at sex, babe. You're not the first person even in this relationship to face that. Just like, do anything and don't go therapy mode when we're naked in the bed and I just said I haven't cum yet. I need to make sure I cum first, as others have clearly said before, or she will not give a fuck if I cum
Author's Postscript: anon here >>25526241 was responding to my first draft of >>25526242, which has since been deleted and replaced with the quoted text. Slowly reclaiming my own head after I've been medicated, I lost so many years to my family ignoring it and just calling me lazy. Started to write again as well, one day at a time, keep my mind sane against everything I have to do in a small space of time, having to deal with every God damn thing I missed out on from being a weak shut in. Retraining socially, physically, mentally. It's hard anons, doing it all alone.I wish I could earn back a few years to do it all properly.
>>25526247If it's ADD meds, can I buy some from you? But nah, I'm happy to hear that anon. Time to live your best life.

>>25526250It is, yeah. I don't think you're in yurop though anon. I'm going to try, I'm trying my hardest. Physical and mental preperation for police training is draining, especially because I've got to undo so many bad years of habits but it's coming along. Still a bit socially awkward, especially around women but that's also slowly improving.>>25526254ADD, Elvanse namely. The first day I took it I slept two hours total, felt like every voice was rejoining back into one. The effects have tapered off and it's become more "normal" and day to day. Though I definitely feel improvements.I'm moving up dosages by the month, then sticking to 70mg except on weekends. Felt really vindicated when I managed to pick up a book and read for a few days in a row without giving up in 5 minutes.

I still find it strange that my mind generated two distinct hallucinations with an inverted symmetry to them years apart without any significant cognitive architecture linking them together.Basically, when I was 19, I was on LSD and watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas where my trip became so intense that I began to become completely immersed in imagery that my mind generated internally. In this state, I saw Earth rotating in a void, and a voice calmly asked me, "Do you want to sell your soul the the devil to save the world?" As the question was being asked, I began to conceive of deeper structural layers to the question. I consider my soul to be God, which was the entire universe, and my ego to be devil, which is the universe's complete inversion. I thought, by selling my soul to the devil for a selfless reason, I would essentially subvert the nature of the pact by forcing divine intervention, which would both save my soul for damnation, and secure the safety of the world, while also basically resulting in ego death. When I finished processing the decision, which completed upon the question finishing, I had to response options. "No," and "Sure thing." I said "Sure thing" and the visuals promptly collapsed and I was returned to the movie. Strangely, despite that being the peak of the trip, I completely forgot about the decision. Then, strangely, when I was 24, I began to go insane and reached a point in my psychosis when I genuinely thought the world was coming to an end.So, on one afternoon, while in my father's house, I walked up to him fully intending to tell him I was leaving because I believe that I was still responsible for fighting a war, and as I walked up to him, my vision started to distort into a wormhole with other types of significant imagery that isn't particulalry necessary to explain for this story. As the distortion intensified, my dad asked, "Are you going to stay in for the night?" And in the exact same time frame as his question occured, I heard another question, which was "Do you want to sell your soul to the devil for complete control of the world?" This time, the response options were identical. "No," and "Sure thing." Knowing that saying "No" meant certain death, I said it without hesitation, effectively answering both questions with a singular, coherent response.I then walked backed to my room, packed a bag full of clothing, and left the house to become homeless and continue fighting a war.Ultimately, I understand this to be an unusual example of typical hallucinations, but I still find the structural parallels between the two decisions, as well as the irony that I chose to sell my soul to the devil to save the world, and was confronted later in life with a delusion that the world was coming to an end, to be rather interesting, and it makes me wonder more deeply about subconscious structures and how they can generate unusually coherent logical structures in psychotic states.

It's astonishing how women can fixate obsessively over the most trivial, inconsequential minutiae. That's why I will never "get" transgenderism, or at least the MtF current; the inner world of the opposite sex seems to me marked by maddening banality.
>>25522730I don't want to make a whole thread about this, so I'm glad these threads exist. What do you guys think about Journey to the End of the Night? I have about 100 pages left and I think I'm going to drop it, because I'm bored of it. I thought the book was pretty good up until he moved back to France, then it dragged on and I felt like it was overstaying its welcome. I'm fairly new to /lit/ (not to 4chan), and am pretty sure this book is held to a high regard here, so I'm wondering what you guys think. But I'm thinking it's just not my book.
>>25526382It's my favourite novel. It's hilarious. Death on Credit is also as blackly funny except the ending will genuinely make you cry.
>>25523319This reminds me of when I was 18 and my brother decided he wanted to start playing the drums. For at least an hour every day he would start practicing. We didn't have a basement and the garage was full, so he'd play in the living room. If you've never heard how loud drums are, they're almost as loud as a shot from a pistol. So at a random time of the day, for an hour or more, he'd start playing on probably the loudest instrument he could've picked. The worst part was that my family didn't care and acted like I was crazy for caring about it. They'd tell me to go out or put on headphones as if I was expected to live my life around someone else's obnoxious hobby. I didn't even have a car at the time, I couldn't go anywhere if I wanted to. It only stopped when I went to the Army, and I hated being there too.>Even when it's quiet, the apprehension that a large engine might start roaring at any point is enough to give me a sense of disquiet.Absolutely.
It's normal for a man to hate a woman's voice.I believe this is an evolutionary trait because every man who listened to women died before they could reproduce.

If someone cracks a cruel joke, and its targets attack the person who cracked it, the joke had a pointThis principle is correct almost all the time, and everyone will sagely nod when it's pointed out, but when someone cracks a cruel joke targeted at them specifically, they forget about the principle. Or worse, pretend that the principle isn't correct in their specific case because it just isn't okay

I know this have been said many times bh many people, but it's almost impossible not to be blackpilled about society right now. I can't think of any sphere of society or culture that hasn't been in visible decline the last few years. I find myself exhausted and frustrated both with my IRL environment and the Internet. It's hard not to feel tempted by the idea of becoming a full-time hikikomori recluse and spending my remaining days just reading and meditating until I eventually lose any attachment to the world and kill myself or just stop giving a fuck and LDAR to death... my Sokushinbutsu...

Love is subjective, It doesn't matter if a persons love is right or wrong, He still loves his wrongs and doesnt love his rights. That man in his late 20s who loved 15 to 17 year old girls so much He now is in prison for statutory rape charges? He wasn't lying at all, He did his crimes because he loved those forbidden girls, Even if he exploited those girls, Its still done in the name of love..So moral of the story is Love has no righteousness nor wrongness Its an ambiguous affection
