Are there any good writers who weren’t well read. I’m sure there are. I’d be interested in reading the thoughts of someone who has only read the Bible, but lived in a /lit/ location and had a /lit/ life. I posted this in the last one, but I’m going to post it here too. I assume they would be ashamed to out themselves, but what about a person who wasn’t. Maybe like a person dedicated to craft sharing their thoughts on it, but in the form of fiction. Very specific, I know.

Maybe some are born good, but I definitely was not.

I like grunge for the most part but I only like maybe one or two Nirvana songs and I fucking despise Pearl Jam.

The Arab countries are all well above replacement (the Gulf countries are above replacement if you only count citizens and not non-Arab permanent residents).

Arabs have super-majorities in 20+ countries and have no risk of ethnic or cultural replacement. Hell, in Europe they are doing the replacement. Meanwhile the West is sort of finished from that angle. In 100 years Riyadh will be Arab, but Paris/Berlin/London etc will no longer be Western.

>Future outlook
The West is in industrial and political decline. Meanwhile China, India and African nations line up to suck up to the Arabs. The West itself sells its assets to Arabs. Arab causes like Palestine are winning on the ground and are supported by billions worldwide.

All of this is downstream of the differences between Western and Arab thought. Westerners, to be blunt, are generally losers, weighed down by guilt over the successes of their ancestors. Arabs have the correct response, they see things like the conquests under the caliphates as their people’s greatest achievement and celebrate it as such. They are a confident, ruthless people who can see and plan out centuries in advance. Meanwhile the West can’t even plan one fiscal quarter out into the future. I envy the Arabs immensely. It must be wonderful to be part of a winning civilization.

The only Stanley Kubrick film that I have not yet seen is Killer’s Kiss. Fear And Desire was pretty bad, I can see why he disowned it. Other than that and AI: Artificial Intelligence (if you count it) I’d say Eyes Wide Shut is my least favorite of his films.
