Are there any good writers who weren’t well read. I’m sure there are. I’d be interested in reading the thoughts of someone who has only read the Bible, but lived in a /lit/ location and had a /lit/ life. I posted this in the last one, but I’m going to post it here too. I assume they would be ashamed to out themselves, but what about a person who wasn’t. Maybe like a person dedicated to craft sharing their thoughts on it, but in the form of fiction. Very specific, I know.

Maybe some are born good, but I definitely was not.

I like grunge for the most part but I only like maybe one or two Nirvana songs and I fucking despise Pearl Jam.

Freud thread made me remember how I’ve read his ā€œWe and deathā€ when I was 16, along with Guy de Maupassant’s ā€œLonelinessā€, and it felt like some deeply profound revelation that has been opened to me.

I feel it’s pretty obvious that Arab civilization is outperforming the West.

>Birthrates
The Arab countries are all well above replacement (the Gulf countries are above replacement if you only count citizens and not non-Arab permanent residents).

>Societal stability
Arabs have super-majorities in 20+ countries and have no risk of ethnic or cultural replacement. Hell, in Europe they are doing the replacement. Meanwhile the West is sort of finished from that angle. In 100 years Riyadh will be Arab, but Paris/Berlin/London etc will no longer be Western.

>Future outlook
The West is in industrial and political decline. Meanwhile China, India and African nations line up to suck up to the Arabs. The West itself sells its assets to Arabs. Arab causes like Palestine are winning on the ground and are supported by billions worldwide.

All of this is downstream of the differences between Western and Arab thought. Westerners, to be blunt, are generally losers, weighed down by guilt over the successes of their ancestors. Arabs have the correct response, they see things like the conquests under the caliphates as their people’s greatest achievement and celebrate it as such. They are a confident, ruthless people who can see and plan out centuries in advance. Meanwhile the West can’t even plan one fiscal quarter out into the future. I envy the Arabs immensely. It must be wonderful to be part of a winning civilization.

...and other hilarious jokes you can tell yourself in your mud hut.

Using the term "societal stability" in reference to a culture of people who are almost always in a constant state of religious/tribal warfare is fucking insanity, lol.
>>
the fact english kept son and sun so close is important.
and as the bible says; who the son set free, is free indeed.
>>
>>25577653
Is there an importance to dog being God backwards, too?

>>25577654
yeah maybe if you like but that’s a trick. son and sun is sound identical. which connects to how people live in the world. and say things aloud.
bible says to who the sun sets free is free indeed. as a boy i remembered this and always thought about helios (the sun)
>>
I yearn for deep meaningful connection but I also want to be left the fuck alone.

are you me? leave me alone, say something more

>I have fought all the conventions life has tried to force on me. School? no, too mainstream. Work? too mainstream. Hygiene? mainstream. The point my life is trying to hammer into the cultural zeitgeist is that everything you do is wrong.

I want to write something with this theme

Metrosexuality is homosexual stolen valor. I hate that whole genre of worthless grasping, thieving, haggling, over who 'owns' abstract concepts. The miserable course of bureaucratized ethnic conflict. Faggots, Dykes, and Trannies are ethnicities, by the way.

Functionally, anyway. They used to be another thing.

Rageful nihilistic death spiral to nowhere. The tale of a person with NOTHING.

By jove, I wrote like a woman now. I need to read more male prose.
>>
>>25577907
Yes, something like that. A short story
>>
I really don't get it. How can it be that someone resorts to hysteric name-calling, then, two or three hours later, apologises for those thoughtless words, only to not learn a thing, repeating the same pattern every other day? Is it a woman thing?
>>
I need to be put down like the fat fucking Jew I am.

The only Stanley Kubrick film that I have not yet seen is Killer’s Kiss. Fear And Desire was pretty bad, I can see why he disowned it. Other than that and AI: Artificial Intelligence (if you count it) I’d say Eyes Wide Shut is my least favorite of his films.

I have a male friend who does this only he doesn't apologize. He's a benzo addict.

It pains me to say it, but I think /lit/ might be dead.

Bout to put a bullet in my head.

I don't see how marines in WWII survived on black coffee. I'd need at least a frappuccino a day or I'd literally fucking die.

Lol, my corporate training video used the term cringe.
You're now as lame as them if you ever call something cringe.

The Nobel Peace prize committee is rigged, Trump ended seven (soon to be eight) wars and is the real winner of that trophy. Congratulations Mr President on your Nobel Peace prize!

/lit/ is obsessed with classics but uses hideous slang of this day and age. I'm a lurker and not once encountered some1 with the vocabulary and orthography of a patrician. You suck.
>>
>>25578110
I'm the opposite; I can't bring myself to read these old books, but I've been slowly restoring my language, even though it's humiliating when someone bursts out laghing when I say thou/thee/thine in public.
>>
Thank you, Mr President!

Thank you for your defense of Christians all around the World, Mr President!!! You are truly God's chosen gift to the World !!!

Amazing !!! If only you could be President of the Entire World Mr President communism & Islam would be eradicated all of our problems would be solved. Thank you Mr President Donald J Trump!!!

It is an inane affectation grasping for status, a display. What you are doing is probably related. But, in my opinion, more respectable because it yields no conventional profit.

If godsent people like Shakespeare were infatuated with classical languages, why can't I? As I said in the first post, it's about a depreciation of modern language (and literature in the case of /lit/) and appreciation of antiquity. There is a status component to it but why would that be a problem?
>>
Transgender is finally over
>>
>>25578213
jonson said shakespeare knew ā€˜small latin and less greek’. in fact, shakespeare is a great counterexample to you because he certainly used the hideous slang of his age & famously broke apart from antiquity by abandoning the classical unities of drama.

>>>The shunga of the east is said to be karmic. Some spirits pledge fealty to El and go by elohim. Seek you the oldest artworks, and remember your true eyes.

That's what happens when one tries to have a conversation about a culture and history other than his own. Every example I provided was adapted: my language has an abandoned pronoun just like thou and a writer that used a lot of latin, like Shakespeare. I lack the english education to know that he wasn't that good of a latinist.

What is this a David Lynch script?
>>
>>25578213
Shakespeare was not much of a classicist. In contradction to almost everyone in illustrious letters from the 15th to 18th centuries.
