I want to write, but what of? My novel is novel and I don’t feel the spark. No ideas for short stories spring to mind. I think maybe I’ll just read and seek inspiration. I don’t know if being a pro is the right move for what I want to write, but it is a start. I should be writing every day, probably. Whether it’s just a journal or something more important. Or is a journal important. Probably is. What isn’t? Reading articles that only seem half interesting to begin with. Watching two hours of random videos on things that do not matter in the slightest. Time is better spent staring at a wall, literally. At least then my own thoughts can enter my brain. I have no story right now, just a seed. I need to nurture it and train my skill to cultivate it. John Scissorhands cutting away at the broad garden until it is crystal clear—not clean—clear. Leave nothing but the weeds. It’s dreary outside. I quite like it. I think I want to be a summer person, but I do love the autumn. Maybe I just love both, why do I have to choose? Seems like the categorizing I’ve come to have extreme distaste for as of late. Why limit myself within a category of who I am? Everyone else is already doing that and anything else others are doing on a large scale I want to avoid, unless it seems reasonable to me. I’m not going to stop eating because everyone does it. That would be very MONKy of me. Abstaining from humanity to the nth degree. It would not be very monkEY, however, as they tend to follow the crowd to simply survive and masturbate. Two new categories for me to shape the world into something not so terrifying.

One of my favorite conversation starters is, when someone asks me what fruit I like, I say,>Only mainstream fruit.>...mainstream fruit?>Yeah, you know, the popular ones. I don't like the obscure, hipster ones.Which usually gets a laugh and then a debate into which are mainstream (apples, grapes, watermelons, bananas, tangerine as my oranges), which aren't (pears, melons, cantaloupe, cherries, kiwi, pineapple, grapefruit), and why.

What is it that's so good, so appealing, so enjoyable about a mini-dissertation on another work of literature when reading a novel? Is it really as mundane as "this work references serious acclaimed work X, therefore this work is serious art"? All I know is I love that shit. And when they quote passages and connect it to history or an etymological analysis, oh man, that's my jam.
I saw the most beautiful nymph in public today. From her beauty alone I could have composed ten sonnets. I would have slaughtered every other man in the building just to cuddle with her for a night.
>>25630183Do men really think like this?
>>25630198they do before the test declines
>>25630198The second two sentences I thought up on the way home to post on here. Which is to say, it's a little exaggerated, but the sentiment of passionate desire was real.
I had sex a bit ago and I woke up with her next to me. I want to be with her. She calms me, however logistics are a piece of shit. I want to move away from here to her country and start anew, for the fourth time in my life lmao
FWIW i think most common pederasty is defined in the desire for touch of fair unblemished skin and that's not a pederastic desire in and of itself so we should observe the reality of such 'cuddling' in soft form between we adults ourselves

As someone with plans to kill himself at the age of 40, I wish I could take on the fatal disease of another person. I feel bad that I'm wasting my lifespan whereas someone else is dying not by choice, y'know?
>>25630200>>25630203I’ve never in my life seen a man in passing and felt passionate desire for him. At most I might observe “oh, he’s kind of handsome” in a detached sort of way, but there’s no particular feeling or desire associated with it. Do men seriously go around feeling intense and overwhelming lust towards random women they cross paths with? Doesn’t it make it hard to function?
>>25630230Testosterone just works differently. It's an active desire, to conquer, to possess, to fuck. And in cases of men, to kill.

>>25629555Im not ladylike enough. I get what my friend means when she says chuzz. Im a chuzz. A chopped huzz. Im not pretty enough. I should have know it when he said he didn't see me like a woman. Seeing him treat another like a lady...I'm not a lady in the traditional sense, I'm not a prize. An object sure, but nothing delicate. The other girls are like roses that grow in a well maintained garden, and im a dandelion that fought its way through the asphalt.
>>25630230>I can't of course but be curious what an analytic sort such as yourself makes of the fair sex in the first place. The slurred murmurings. The silken paw in your shorts. Beguiling eyes. Creatures soft of touch and sanguinvorous of habit. What runs so contrary to received wisdom is that it really is the male who is the aesthete while the woman is drawn to abstractions. Wealth. Power. What a man seeks is beauty, plain and simple. No other way to put it. The rustle of her clothes, her scent. The sweep of her hair across his naked stomach. Categories all but meaningless to a woman. Lost in her calculations. That the man knows not how to even name that which enslaves him hardly lightens his burden. Section of dialog. Speaker is John Sheddan. Book is The Passenger. Author is Cormac McCarthy. From the first non-italicized section of chapter 5, page in the hardback edition is 141.To answer your question directly, while it is not a common experience in my life and while my intellect always interferes, there have at least several and more likely many moments in my life when a woman's mere appearance has stopped me dead in my tracks both mentally and physically, whereon I immediately began thinking of how I could meet her, in part to have the chance to know her, in part to have the chance to possess her.
>>25630302>>25630183How to be like such a nymphette desirable woman? I have like 0 femenine aurapoints and I have been told I look like a dyke or that im like a man. How can I become desirable chat. Unironically I feel like I have constantly been stripped of femeninity yet burdened with womanhood.
>>25630250If you're so numb to the outside world and no other person ever moves you it means you're no better than a street dog in terms of spirituality and sensitivity. Worse even, a dog is capable of love, youre not. Ergo: dead as a rotten cucumber. Don't ever get into a relationship, you'll just hurt a man that sees you as something valuable while you are just a hollow husk of a human
>>25630310Every woman is capable of boosting her attractiveness by 2, 3, even sometimes 4 points with the right makeup and hair.
>>25630312Jesus, anon, calm the fuck down.
>>25630310Also, if you wanna be pedantic, the quality of a nymph is something you're born with or not. But that's something different than 'desirable woman'.
>>25630230To an extent. It's not necessarily all possessing but many men do feel attraction towards random women or desire >Doesn’t it make it hard to function?Yes, indeed, have you seen how unhinged incels and sexually frustrated men can be?
>>25630310Lose body fat until you're at a healthy BMI if not there already, exercise regularly, drink enough water, have a reasonable haircut, dress well, have good hygiene. Same advice that works for men, actually.
>>25630312Other people do move me, but in order to experience strong attraction to a man (which I have experienced in the past) I would have to interact with him, get to know him as a person, and spend substantial time talking to him. It would develop gradually. I just don’t experience strong feelings of attraction based on appearance alone, or towards people who are strangers to me. It’s about the entire dynamic. Why are you acting as though not lusting after random passers-by means I’m incapable of love?
>>25630314Basically larping and aurafarming so that my izzatpoints makes the required thresholds for being a viable love interest. Is it impossible to be appreciated as who i am?>>25630328Not a fatass just a butch looking ass woman. So basically I have to wait at least 1-2 years before my hair is long enough. Fuck.
>>25630310My quotation is not about pedophiles, it's about normal adult affection. I like girls with short hair. I don't care if they're aggressive or fail to be demure. I prefer it. Physically they only really get points for being skinny, nothing else really matters to me. You can try to attract a man by adopting more commonly desired attributes like long hair, bigger breasts, a non-threatening demeanor. But if you have to fake any of that how long are you willing to fake it for? Men have a wide variety of less common characteristics that they like. For almost any feature you can name that nine men prefer there is one man who is almost obsessed with the opposite. Most women who cannot get a man they like interested in them are failing at two things: 1) They are not in public often. And 2) They do not seem approachable. To fix 1) take up any hobby that has you out of your house. Any coed sport (kickball, jiujitsu, run clubs), any type of volunteering, even fag bullshit like boardgame nights at bars. Even just going to bars.To fix 2) the easiest thing is just eye contact. If there is a guy you like stare at him in the face, when he looks don't look away. Smile even if you're bad at it. You might have to repeat it a few times, it takes a while as a man sometimes to get the dice ready to be rolled. Ask for his help. If he says something to you, anything at all, say something back. Anything at all. Be playful if you can manage it. If he moves towards you move towards him. If you have female friends ask them if they have any little things they like to do to flirt and try those out. You don't really need to change you that much. You just need to be where men are and to invite their approach. We'll eventually take care of the rest.
>>25630335Anonette, your question wasn't "how can I be a good person", it was literally "how can I become physically desirable" and yeah, sorry to say, unless you were born with great genes (and even then!), you're gonna have to put some work into it. As for love and all that, the fact of the matter is love comes after physical attraction. I'm not saying ask your parents for 10k for facial surgery (though that isn't a bad option if you can afford it!), but some basics. A little eyeshadow or whatever here, a hairstyle there, you're good.
>>25630332I disagree with the other anons that say that the "stopped dead in their tracks on the street" feeling is just the masculine desire to fuck and conquer. It happened to me that I got infatuated by the perceived notion of humanity within them, the desire to bond profoundly. Sex wasn't even that much of a part in the whole thing. I went and spoke to her and she ended up being very shallow. However I discovered that my masculine urge is a humane one, mutual comprehension and sharing and all that gay stuff. I didn't mean that you must just after them but if you're not ever have the strong calling to bond with people it means you're not alive in a profound sense

damn Scrubs is so good
>>25630310Please stop doing this “I’m not like other girls :(“ schtick and using discord-speak, for a start. If you want to appear more feminine, find clothes you like that emphasize your best features, and figure out how to do your hair and makeup in a flattering way. But if you’re naturally more drawn to a gender non-conforming or androgynous presentation, there’s nothing wrong with that, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to be stereotypically feminine if it doesn’t feel authentic to you. Just be yourself. Also, your feelings and personal style may change gradually over time. As a teen I used to be much more androgynous (rarely wore makeup, had short hair, wore generic jeans-and-t-shirt outfits) and felt uncomfortable with things that were stereotypically feminine, because I was insecure about other people perceiving me. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gradually adopted a more feminine style and presentation as I’ve developed more self-confidence, and now it feels authentic to me. The same thing might happen for you.
>>25630230>Doesn’t it make it hard to function?Dude you have no idea. It's overwhelming. My libido is so damn high that it's off the charts. Sex is almost all I think about.
>>25630348>>25630335Also, you don’t have to grow out your hair for years. If you feel insecure about having short hair, then you can experiment with hair extensions or wigs. Or just try getting a better hair cut and styling your hair differently to make your current hair length suit you better. But I should add that, although it’s undeniably true that appearing more feminine gets you a lot more male attention, you shouldn’t try to force yourself into a mold that feels inauthentic just to appeal to the male gaze. You won’t be able to sustain it long-term, and it will make you feel bad about yourself.
It helps a lot if you aren't fat. Especially in the US, where so many women are so incredibly fat. A lot of guys would cut their own throat to have any kind of not-fat girlfriend at all.Just find the 400 a month for ozempic and the guys you get to ask you out will be twice as attractive within a year
I have this bizarre issue where I find all forms of work so profoundly and hopelessly boring that I physically can't make myself work. Not joking. If I'm not continuously learning throughout the day I want to blow my brains out
>>25630361People have an illusion that work is where you get paid to complete valuable tasks. It's where you get paid to be bored, disgusted, endangered, and/or physically abused. I don't fall into the normal categories of womanhood and it is my biggest vice but I don't want to play pretend either, nor do I have the looks to lure someone in nor am I charming or have good speaking skills. To add salt to the wound, the one man I have ever been attracted to has told me explicitly he sees me like a man. And I feel like all of this has to do with a combination of the fact that womanhood is a performative act and if you don't act a certain way you aren't womanly enough to get any ladylike treatment. But at the same time you aren't seen as an equal or as a competent person. Just this weird in-between spot of undesirability and disrespect. >>25630380If you are only attracted to men you have a strong emotional connection to and if men generally only have a strong emotional connection to women they have had sex with at least one of the two of you is going to have to give some ground to make things work.I've dated girls like you with the "I have to have a strong emotional connection and it takes me a lot of time" thing, and they want to take 15 dates before the clothes come off. I get it and you can feel that way if you want but I'm going to be dead pretty soon here what the fuck are we doing? Turning life into mostly waiting? The only way forward isn't to edge yourself until you lose it.
>>25630384Wouldn't trade or 4 the world tho it made me a very well reflected person. Black womanhood takes you places mentally that you elsewise wouldnt go. How gender norms are bogus and that what society deems as "femenine" is often times incompetence repackaged How women arent seen as tru human beings by men, but as objects to be obtained. Im outside this sphere. Im considered incompetent and sub human by men, but I dont even get roses like bruh.Makes you think.
I don't get it. Women have this innate ability to understand what type of person a man is, but they don't actually use this ability to secure themselves the relationships they desire.
why the FUCK is life so unfair there's a qt black kween literally posting in this thread and I will never meet her
>>25630380Let me stop you right there. I’m biracial and have a black parent, and I also live in a predominantly white community. Everything I said to you still applies. Being black is not some insurmountable hurdle you have to overcome—you have allowed the internet to fry your brain. Plenty of men of various races like black women. Stop allowing racist troglodytes on 4chan to make you feel bad about yourself and believe that you have no inherent value and are basically a man.You need to stop comparing yourself to others and fixating on the idea of some “true” experience of womanhood that you see as unattainable. Focus on making the best of what YOU have, and of the opportunities that are available to YOU. Instead of hating yourself because you can’t achieve the exact look some white Instagram model has, try to work with your own unique features, and be the best version of *yourself*. Also, as a black woman, why are you even complaining about having short hair? You don’t have to wait years for it to grow out. Just teach yourself how to braid, and you can do tons of cute hairstyles with added extensions. Try boho knotless braids, goddess braids, or french curl braids. I do my own hair, and get compliments on it all the time. Having a hairstyle that suits you will make you feel a lot more confident and attractive. You can also wear wigs—I’ve never personally done this, but lots of women (and not just black women) wear them, and they can look amazing if you style them correctly. You say you aren’t charming, but personality is something that can be cultivated. Social skills are something you have to actively work on, not something you’re just born with. It’s like you have this self-defeating attitude and are desperately trying to come up with reasons as to why it’s over and there’s no hope for you. It’s never over. And this really isn’t the place to go to look for advice about these things. A lot of the people on this board are racist and sexist, and will just bully you and try to destroy your self-esteem even further. Try to seek advice from the women in your life instead of venting on the internet about feeling undesirable.
>>25630374My ability to work wasn't free, I had to develop it. I had an on-ramp because as a child I did a lot of very brutal combat sports. If that's what you do after school you learn very quickly how to ignite discomfort and to continue to apply what you know in difficult circumstances. It left me rough in other areas, but it took care of not being able to handle being uncomfortable.Maybe it's simpler than that for you and all you really need is an Adderall prescription and that would take care of it. But almost no one comes out of the box just being able to do repetive and sometimes annoying or difficult tasks for eight hour stretches of time. Everyone that you see doing it all paid their tuition to learn how to do it one way or another. Any job where you don't need to learn how to eat shit to be able to do it is going to pay almost nothing and be hard to get. We only need so many novels and so much music. You get paid because it sucks, and if you want to get paid you have to learn how to deal with it.
An actually interesting /wyt/? What's going on here?
>>25630414>A lot of the people on this board are racist and sexistYou asked?
>>25630421The attitude I had going through school was, "Alright this is fucking awful, but at least once I turn 18 this will end and I will never ever have to do it again." I wouldn't have been able to get through it, if I believed that something like this would continue my entire life. And that's simply that. There's no silver lining to a life of work. There's no, "And then one day it ends!!!!!" Retiring at age 70 is a profoundly retarded carrot-on-a-stick and we all know this. Your life as an average person is defined by the type of work you do, and we all know this. Anyone who's not a retard is either trying to make money doing what they love, or they're trying to get rich and retire ASAP. This is just obvious. Anything else and you're a slave. You're selling an ENTIRE FRACTION of your life away. In fact, more than a simple fraction. From age 18-70, it's not just 8 hours, but also the most productive and energetic slice of your day. It is completely insane. I don't need an Adderall script, I need financial freedom. I need to escape financial slavery, and it's not just me; anyone with a brain knows this is what we all have to do.
>>25630383Learn anything interesting recently?
>>25630402You know what i have thought about just doing it but I cant bring myself to. Don't get me wrong I get horny, I just find it incredibly unreasonable to just act on horniness. Now I got horny around this one guy, but again who tf am I to pop my pum for a nigga that explicitly said he wasn't into black girls. Nigga kept me around til a white chick came along. So glad i never let my horniness take me god bless. In fancier terminology. I have thought of removing this glorified idea of the right time and the right place and this one perfect moment in time, but good sir there are more things in this equation. Its hard to entrust somebody with the most vulnerable thing about you. Its hard to show your true colors. And its hard to undress in front of someone when you've never ever done it before. I've lived my life as a reserved person, who never got to be vulnerable with people outside family due to how I was raised. I was never supposed to ask for help or cry or be a bitch. But all the sudden I see how big of a load it is to never be able to let loose. But like I said black womanhood is purgatory that's what I be sayin.>>25630414>I’m biracial and have a black parentWe aren't the same tho... Read above story I got replaced for a white chick by the one guy I have ever been vulnerable with. Like ofc I'm gonna be a bit dazed by it all.Im by no means dissatisfied with being black that being said colorism is real and im of a darker complexion and I have many a time been disfavoured for a white girl or Asian or lightskin. Matter of fact I was ridiculed by my mom for having curler hair than my sisters and deeper skin so she would put lightening cream on my constantly. Im just making an observation, and I think trying to pretend that isnt that big a deal is ridiculous. Its affecting every part of my life, but it gives me a birds eye view on gender norms and racism. I relate to the most marginalised groups intimately.I appreciate what you're written though, because I know you mean well by it. And believe me im quite optimistic and resilient. I don't seek advice from folk here really, but I don't blame you for thinking that because that's what it looks like. Really I'd just like to vent but also ask out of curiosity but also to get insight and jest to get in a better mood. And sure I know some men like black women but the fact remains the same, black women are masculinized, dehumanised and are generally seen as undesirable. They get treated harshly comparatively to other women. Now let me expand on this cuz im in a very (white) male dominated stem field and god damn am I invisible compared to the white girls but also looked down upon like a retard for being a female. I get 0 benefits its ridiculous. >To be continued....
>>25630408girlbro you've hit the DEI lottery, if you're even moderately sharp you have so many career opportunities
>>25630440If you don't work society will punish you in ways you presently cannot imagine. Your average person has gotten used to what they have to do to survive. 0.0001% of the population is supported financially by doing things they find intellectually or artistically interesting. Maybe 5% will be able to retire early in any meaningful sense of the word. Another 1% are born rich. Insane or not that's the way the world is. People are not going to pay you to do something they like to do themselves, even if you are a lot better at it than they are. If you want to be paid you have to do something that sucks, Peter Pan.
Some of the girls in my class get guys who are more than willing to help em but over here I am not getting half the chivalry. I feel out of place and I have to compensate by being competent and getting shit done myself. I am treated worse thats a fact. Its a fact I have accepted and hey I excell in my shit so idgaf at the end of the day.>Also, as a black woman, why are you even complaining about having short hair?Got traction alopecia from braids so I chopped it off and I wanna either lock it up or let ot grow as is and just have protective hairstyles. Right now its way to short to style well exept maybe finger waves but too lazy ngl and just want to let my curls grow.>>25630440>I need to escape financial slavery, and it's not just me; anyone with a brain knows this is what we all have to do.Only way we can do that is a) minimise our needs and make them easier to meet b) get good job. Now honestly in this economy its lowkey impossible :/
>>25630463i'm so happy i've ended up teaching university, I actively enjoy my time teaching and have an excellent work-life balance. Maybe I'm just not burnt out yet.
>>25630456I learned that virtually all of the major Germans of Kant's day came from a non-noble background whereas the inverse is true for the French Enlightenment, where literally all relevant figures were noble, save for Diderot and Rousseau. It's kind of cringe when people use historical context to delegitimize an intellectual movement or whatever, but it is interesting how the German intellectual culture springs so directly from the failure of the Thirty Years War and some bizarre everpresent cultural vexation.
>>25630463>If you want to be paid you have to do something that sucks, Peter Pan.Do you think this is news to me, or something...?Conversely are you trying to brag that you've been trained to spend your life doing something you personally dislike and consider uninteresting?
>>25630459Okey yeah I know but i don't want to be seen as a DEI candidate. I am an equal footing as my peers and competition intellectually and I find it insulting when people insinuate I need DEI. I don't. I want to be like Tony Stark just black girl get what im sayin? And I don't want anybody telling me I don't deserve my shit cuz I worked hard for it. Im not an exception nigga I AM THE MF RULE.
>>25630476I'm not saying you NEED it, I'm saying you have the ability to exploit it. There are more talented people out there than there are roles for them.
>>25630457A sexual relationship involves many sexual encounters. The character of the first ones is not the same as the character of the last ones. Part of what I enjoy about going on a couple dates with a girl and then fucking her on the third is that I don't know her that well yet -- sex with her then is going to be surprising or have a texture that can easily get lost if had known each other forever. I value the sexual encounters in the middle and even the bitter ones that happen at the end when you sometimes know they're going to be the last ones. Some of them are unquestionably and predictably better than others. But what can I say? I order my steak medium rare because I want to know what that piece of beef is like when it's well done, when it's medium, and when it's rare -- from the outside in I get the whole range of experience. The course of a sexual relationship is like that as well, but in the other direction, raw and pink at the begging, the essence of what you'll remember it to be in the middle, a bit of char and some smoke at the end. You don't have to look at it this way. But there is a way to enjoy sex, to entertain it positively in your mind, early on when you know someone. I've been with girls who appreciate this and those that don't, either one can be fine, but the way you look at it now doesn't have to be the only way you look at it. A bit of experimtation can be educational, it doesn't have to be destructive, and it doesn't have to be a big deal.
>>25630475If you are asking me to be more direct, what I'm saying is quit being a fucking pussy.
>>25630457Anon you should ignore the people telling you to have sex right this instant and save it for someone who will respect you. You'll be happier, trust me.
>>25630468That is a good job, especially if you can break into the tenure zone. It has some discomforts and I'm sure you have colleagues who will complain endlessly about them given the chance, but it's one of the few positions where you can live decently by doing work that is not tantamount to abuse.I find teaching to be vaguely unpleasant myself, but I've never taught interesting subject matter to motivated adults. And of course being a professor isn't just teaching, but I think for most the teaching part is the worst part.
>>25630497Actually I'm pretty much only down the teaching path now, not doing research or thesis supervising. Always liked teaching way more
>>25630483You right... I just get a bit defensive about it because some racist hags at my job were evil towards me regarding my degree and insinuated I'd only get a job cause of DEI>>25630484But then I'd have to let go of so much of me, I have always been guarded and did everything alone. Having sex would be giving my pleasure and my anatomy to someone else, entruting them. I find that hard. Telling people what I like or dislike is hard enough for me but to have intimacy in a spontaneous manner is practically unheard of for me.Ive been considering it though. Especially after my failed romancing. Sex is essentially just an act. How come I treat it like a piece of my soul?
>>25629639No. >>25629749Do I just note down the time when I log onto my computer and when I leave it?
>>25630476There are some positions that are so difficult to get that any concrete advantage is huge. If you had a classics PhD you would be a leading candidate with that degree and your gender/ethnicity alone for maybe 75% of tenure track jobs listed this year. For federal jobs you get a certain number of points added to your application for the early stages of the application process: black and female is the same number of points as a disabled veteran. I'm not saying you need it, I'm literally just saying I'm very envious of it.A lot of these tenure track academia jobs and federal jobs are basically as good as it gets for working for a living outside of the fantasy artist/musician/spaceman type stuff.
>>25630505>Do I just note down the time when I log onto my computer and when I leave it?Note down every time you look at your computer or phone (don't forget the phone) and every time you look away. It's gonna be autistic as fuck but just the act of doing it will cut down on the screentime. You could have an app do it automatically, but this way is way more psychologically potent
>>25630498I have met people who really love it. I always tried to do it well, not just get through it, but in the long run I start disliking the dynamic of going over the world's most trodden path for me which is a fresh wonderland (or fresh hell) for them. It's not the worst thing in the world and I can see how some people can really grow to like it. You can get really good at it if you try to, which is nice.
>sister found my private twittermy life is fucking over
>>25630511>but in the long run I start disliking the dynamic of going over the world's most trodden path for me which is a fresh wonderland (or fresh hell) for themyeah I can imagine teaching the same few classes year after year after year could start to feel like purgatory
>>25630507Don't know if id be going into academia however. I mean i would like to but I don't know if I got that dog in me. Im currently taking a bachelor in mechatronics engineering but im considering going into quantum technology or just studying theoretical physics. But getting a PhD in it? Yeah idk if I have that dog in me. I have no interest for work however and if I could I would stay in school forever, but I have serious doubts about my academic proficiency and eligibility to go into research. But you're right I should use the hell out if my golden ticket. Its just i feel really out of place in academic spaces due to being a bit more unserious and non competitive. So much if academia is flaunting and being pompous asf and I just think that some larping fake shit lowkey. I just think its cool, and I'd like to learn, but I feel like an impostor man.
>>25630503I understand the nervousness about how physically invasive it is. Maybe it helps to remember that it was what your body was built to do, maybe it helps if I say that most women really relish the experience of having someone inside them and aren't disrupted or hurt by it any worthwhile proportion to the pleasure or release or freedom of it. Probably if either of those things help they don't help much. I guess what I'm saying is it's not just a big leap. There are parts of the experience that are discrete instead of continuous, but these discrete parts do lie along a spectrum and each step does help you land more easily on the one after that. You can go back in time to before your ancestors were people and they were having sex, to before they were on land, to before they had eyes. Still having sex. Not just because they suffered though it, but because the sexual experience has been refined to be approachable and learnable even by the simplest of creatures, all of whom still know fear.It helps if you have someone you trust to take you by the hand the first few times, of course. But there's nothing wrong with getting to know someone while he sucks on your earlobe, instead of during a debate.
>>25630522There are all kinds of levels to academia. You can be a cutting edge researcher. You can just be the one approachable person in the whole physics department for students who are struggling in some brutally difficult school. You can work at a community college where you're basically trying to get middling high school students to not have to retake your class for the second time most of your day. Not everyone is a red hot slam dunking hyper intelligent genius.
>>25630522Don't get a bachelor's in theoretical physics if you don't plan on getting a higher degree.
>>25630335You have awakened the hair goblin itt.>So basically I have to wait at least 1-2 years before my hair is long enough.Check out Abbey Yung method, it’s proven to be beneficial for hair growth and overall keeping it in good condition but beware - she shills Pantene, something to keep in mind . >>25630537Thats what I thought...But initially I wanted to study physics and im honestly a little dissatisfied with how practical my current degree is. But its gonna hold many doors open for me so I think a second bachelor in quantum technology would satisfy my thirst for theoretical knowledge whilist also not giving me this pressure of continuing my studies and I can use my previous courses to shorten the bach to only 2 years (cram my subjects and what not)>>25630535>There are all kinds of levels to academiaTrue... and its way better than selling my soul to the inevitable Lockheed Martin tbdesu. And I do have a passion for teaching, always have. I love learning and I love it when people understand things just a bit better.

>>25630528Is this Intellectual smut or smutty IntellectualismBut i do agree there is alot you can learn by the way people behave in bed, and I think I have a really warped perception of what intimacy is but I think its best I do it with someone I trust deeply, and while i know wants me.>>25630541Thanks mystical hair goblini!
>>25630555Thats what I be sayinnnn. If I got the balls I can take my masters in mechatronics while the bach. Now that would be a wombo combo. Imagine the possibilities!! You guys are having such a good conversation, I don't want to ruin it by posting about my incredibly pornographic dream last night.
>>25630465I agree with >>25630541 about the Abbey Yung method. I’ve been using it for the past year, and it’s helped my hair a lot. Personally, I’ve never experienced any hair loss/damage from braids, but I do mine myself and don’t braid tightly at the roots. If you’re prone to alopecia then perhaps it’s best to avoid braids altogether. What DID mess up my hair for a period of time was being severely anemic, so if you have hair loss/slow growth it’s worth getting your iron levels checked.Either way, you need to figure out a look that works for you. If you don’t want to do anything with your hair, try wigs or wearing pretty headscarves/hair accessories. >>25630556This anon >>25630528 is correct in the sense that, once you’re turned on enough, you will essentially lose the ability to feel embarrassed/shy. Your body already knows what to do; you just have to allow yourself to be vulnerable enough to get to the point where you can become uninhibited. It helps a lot if you’re with someone more experienced who can guide you through it. The advantage of being a woman in dating is that being a bit awkward/shy is generally not a huge barrier, because men tend to enjoy taking the lead and they like feeling as though they are teaching you something. However, I would not personally recommend that you have sex with someone just to get it over with, or have sex with someone you don’t know well or completely trust. I made the mistake of having my first sexual experience with someone who later treated me very dismissively, and it messed me up emotionally in ways that I’m still trying to work through. If you’re sensitive and tend to develop strong feelings, you should be cautious. >>25630560You seem to use a lot of slang. Do you speak this way irl? I mean, why put any obstacle in between you and the claim that every human soul should be keenly aware that their existence from birth to death as something they should apologize for? I mean, that’s what we’re here to do isn’t it? If we see a guy who’s out there acting like he isn’t terrified to exercise as biological functions, it’s our job to intervene and make sure he’s terrified for his mortal soul. And that’s just good business.

>>25630622>>25630633anon you're taking it completely the wrong way!the fact that the world sucks and contains a lot of suffering shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. nor should the fact that everyone has the capacity for evil, to cause suffering, or to bring themselves or others to harm. that's life, that's something obvious no one thinks twice about. it's the idea that life and the world has the potential to be so much better, and that this potential can be realized through the regeneration of human beings through love, that is the radical idea at hand. the idea of original sin in light of christianity is not that you should feel shitty 24/7, but that despite the state of the world and the suffering you may experience or cause, beauty, goodness, and truth can overcome all this, and that the way to bring about this overcoming is to truly, radically, unconditionally love God and your neighbor. that's it.

I'm hitting the physical obstacle level of fatness again. Hard to explain to my friends.....friends.....FRIEND$
>>25630640So very little of that is captured in the statement ‘we all have original sin’ It’s an ancient roundabout way to a much simpler message which people insist must first stop at the word for human darkness that leads to damnation, ‘sin’.

>>25630638lol idk anon, probably just a line. Don't paralyze yourself overplanning it!
>>25630619lmao okay you're too obvious now
>>25630644that's because the phrase refers to Adam's sin, as in 'the original sin,' and the theological consequences of it. saying 'we have original sin' is a poor turn of phrase even if accurate as a roundabout way of saying 'we bear the consequences of the original sin and its effects on the human nature and the world.' this is explicit in the CCC: "original sin is called "sin" only in an analogical sense: it is a sin "contracted" and not "committed" - a state and not an act. "of course if you are, like, an american low church protestant and take everything bluntly literally and disregard thousands of years of theological writings then you end up with bizarro theology and its consequences.

Soft shoulders turned to the afternoon light,A wrist like a stem in the curve of the air,He moves through the noise of the ordinary nightWith silk on his skin and gold in his hair. They measure his stride by the way that his hipsFind grace in a world that is heavy and square,With laughter like honey that pours from his lips,Unashamed of the sweetness he chooses to wear.A glance in the mirror, a turn of the head—He loves who he loves with a quiet, bright flame,Unbowed by the narrow old scripts they have read,And proud of the beauty that carries his name.

>>25630721Weed keeps me awake.Even one of those leg vibrating edibles, dark room, warm feet in comfortable bed with cool air coming gently in the window on my face. If there's any significant amount of weed in me I'm alert, I'm paying attention. Many times after blowing some nice lady's back out she's on the other half of the bed sleeping and drooling in her sleep and I sneak out of the bed to write a mildly fancy description of the fucking on a few sheets of blank paper. Then I'm off to the fridge to get fruit juice, some pickles, a cold piece of chicken with jellied skin which I'll eat looking at my reflection in the microwave door. I'll pad back into the bedroom, sit on the bed and wipe the dust off the bottoms of my feet with my hands. I can see the white pages over there on the desk in the dark. I'm still alert. She's rolled over. I'll play with her hair without waking her, assuming it affects her dreams. The pages are for her in the morning. I would keep such a thing forever but I know some of those girls have not kept them.
>>25630769>cold piece of chicken with jellied skin
Went for a walk earlier. I was sitting on a bench, took a couple big huffs of the penjamin and coughed my lungs out. Quite a few people looked at me. Oh well.
I want some more weed
>>25630485>If you are asking me to be more direct, what I'm saying is quit being a fucking pussy.Anon tells me earlier in the thread that I, "just need to work", that I need to "quit being a pussy". Okay. I suck it up for tonight. I do 3-4 hours of work. And then I get insomnia that completely rapes my sleep. I go from falling asleep at 11 PM sharp for a solid week straight, to being up at 3 AM tossing and turning for 4 hours straight while feeling like my room is several times hotter than usual. I'm not even on any meds, I didn't have a bunch of sugar or caffeine. My brain just works like this. I can't really blame anon for his assumptions. After all, why would my body and mind work differently from everyone else's? I don't know, but apparently it does. Apparently it just doesn't obey the same rules. Work 4 hours, lose 4 hours of sleep. It's like I'm trapped in some strange personal hell that nobody else can understand. Even if I try to work, my body will punish me severely for the attempt.
Androgynoid. As in, 'Get this androgynoid out of my fucking face'
>>25630789 (You)Also, if I wake up with the intention to work after waking up, within seconds my scalp will begin tingling and I get inflammation that's so intense and immediate that I can reach into my hair and just keep pulling small clumps of hair out. At one point, I believed that I was balding, but in reality it turned out this was only stress from having to work. When I ceased to force myself to work, the hair grew back. The only reliable solution I've found here to prevent myself to work AND avoid getting severe insomnia / inflammation from working, is to force myself to get very depressed and dispirited each day after I finish working. The kind of mood where your brain is completely mush, where it's totally shut-off and you can hardly think; all you can do is watch Youtube shorts. It has to be like this for hours. It's miserable. If I have to do it, then so be it. But it is a really miserable experience, and moreso because no one can fathom the kind of hell it takes to extract a few hours of labor from me.
Right in his sacred temple, laughing at his hallowing.
I don't work today so I'm going to be here fucking up your threads at unusual hours until I fall asleep in an alcoholic stupor
>>25630789>>25630801I’m so so sorry anon! I restrain myself from giving any advice because it’s useless, I’m sure you know what’s best for you better than anyone else. This is very miserable, let me send you a hug!

Well the man is a sadistic serial murderer and that what account for way he hugged that woman's spine broke
You can estimate something analogous to intelligence by looking in a person's eyes and general expression. I think it has something to d1o with intentionality of the gaze or fine facial muscle control, or maybe more accurately awareness of intention, which indicates true consciousness

Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s worst plays, and that’s saying something
>>25630834Correction: I’m a person whom Anon deem to be shifting between alternating states of mania for whatever reason.

>>25630953Balding man? Yeah, it happens, just keep it short and neat, that’s about the best you could do with it
>>25630837This is true for the entire nervous system. The dumber someone is, the more their movement tends to orient around the spine. If you ever meet someone really intelligent notice how their bodily movements are much more local and precise. An idiot is going to rotate his entire torso and shoulders and head in circumstances where an intelligent person will just rotate his head.
I'm no longer that interested in cooming. I have yet to reflect if this is positive or negative
>>25630906Yup. This is why the news is always depressing. Thanks Marketing and Psychology.
>>25630834Being an intellectual I am, I finally figured out what that means. I’m sorry, I’ll stick with original plan, that will not happen again.
>>25630964probably not a healthy thing
>>25630872Shakespeare in general is the prime example of being so canonized that all of his genuinely good material is forgotten and students reading him for the first time are turned off of him by teachers forcing them to read dreck. >>25630846Man sometimes I feel resigned to the fact I’ll probably never find a woman who isn’t already a single mother now that I’m past the age of 25, but sometimes it hurts. Just randomly stumbled upon a philosopher who I find very interesting since his conclusions align very much with my known albeit with a totally different path taken, however outside of his country of origin he is largely obscure.I have literally never seen his name mentioned even after lurking the net for decades. Even searching the /lit/ archive he is only mentioned once in one meme post. Makes one wonder what other gems are lost beneath the deluge of slop
>>25630680fyi people like Adam smith used changeling to mean simpleton/idiot, so back in the day it had other connotations :^)So yea he basically called you a retard haha
>>25631086It’s a perfectly serviceable play about teenage love being nipped in the bud before it really began. The cultural aura around it and other plays like Hamlet, King Lear and the Tempest is the equivalent and indeed possible fate of people acting like Star Wars or The Terminator is high art and worthy of canonization: it’s more about the reputation of the play than the play itself that people are enamored by. TL;DR: being forced to say something is good because everyone else does and it’s expected that you agree with them breeds contempt
>>25631168Romeo and Juliet is one of the most influential works of art of all time. If anything it’s underrated because people all shit on it nowadays because they had to read in the tenth grade against their will.

PLEASESTOP TALKING TO THE FROG POSTER
>>25631173>>25631188Proving my point. Whether you enjoy it or not is up to you, “influential” just means that others before you (most of whom you’re probably also TOLD to enjoy) liked it. But I’ll admit this: the term “canonization” has an initiatory, civil religion implication to it, that to read and engage with certain texts at a certain time in one’s life is a right of passage. The issue may come down to the fact that educators don’t just come out and say that, there’s no sense of the mystical or rewarding in how it’s presented, it’s just “do this or you’ll fail the class”, said by teachers that are themselves most of the time jaded to it. Maybe it’s just the crisis of modern education in a nutshell
>>25631221Huh?
>>25631222Probably it takes quite an effort to convey the sense of the mystical or rewarding on formal schedule, you may or may not connect with material by the time you have to take an exam. Idk, maybe it’s not all that bad. Once I found myself thinking that probably the real reason I gravitate towards classics is that I somewhat studied them in school, so it’s possible to navigate.
i am a truly pathetic individual
>>25631222my dumb ass spelling "rite" as "right" should show how much of a nigger i am, though perhaps I can save face by saying people have a right to their rites of passage. >>25631235"Effort" really is the key word, on both the student and the teacher. Being able to get kids to connect and put the effort in is a skill, and getting teachers interested enough to stoke interest takes effort yet again.

>>25631063You'll find them occasionally but they're usually ugly as toads, dangerously ill mentally, or unbreakably sure that they don't want kids. The good news is you can easily date 22 year olds until you're into your mid 30s, and the baby making sort of girl usually wants to get them cranked out within a few years of college. Which makes biological sense, but not financial sense. Anyway just date younger girls if you want kids. You basically get a free one, the girl herself, to begin with, as all they know at that age is 20% of what they should have known to get their BA.

>>25631328I saw a video on WSG last night where an extremely obese woman was introducing her AI child to the world and she had it read the world its poem. Maybe you would be interested in that with sincerity instead of the entirely nasty way I sniggered at her and looked at her body to make myself feel disgusted. She was a really fat gross pig, a puke person, who was alone and who had had her brain ruined by lonelines and being a fat puke. I hope she goes on a tour of the Everglades and justifies her suicide mentally by saying the alligators fell in love with her and she jumps out of the body. I hope she is so fat the first gator doesn't kill her, that it takes several of them to finally consume her, just so she has the time to realize she's fucking it all up while they latch on and then roll to tear big pieces of her off into the swamp.
I would really feel much more secure if I could have a cyanide pill false tooth installed.

>>25631455depends, are we talking fat fat, or FAT fat? Since statically if you have a bmi between 25-30 you live longer, so being a little fattie is like evolution at work yknowDont be hating on healthy bones, just cause your bulimic ass stinks of puke! Nah im just playing, we all good chief
>>25631491Where's that picture of the 15 year old hapa girl with the Stanford shirt on smirking
>>25631491If you've got muscles then you have a higher BMI than a fatty of the same height and weight
What could I pipe through these metaphorical tubes into a normal body to make it become fat through a mechanical process rather than through sloth and time. Everything I think about is just fat, grease, oil, congealed cooking lipids. Just another fat. I can't think of anything more gross to sub in, why have these clear tubes pumping stuff into a fat body if it doesn't express that I think it's gross. Even "gross" is basically just Latin for thick.
>>25631498Yeah I know what you are trying to say but **scoffs** you said it wrong
i've decided to dissolve my human subjectivity and replace it with a pack of plump, nude, female beings called sylphs. sylphs lives on an abstract plane of reality called oklahoma (no relation to the US state of the same name). across this infinite plain they roam freely, sleeping in the long grass, dancing beneath the moon, observing the strange flora and fauna. they consider my organism, brain included, to be an intriciately folded length of material to which they give the name calico, and which they may unfold, refold, stitch, and stretch as they wish. they treat my memories as a sort of enormous database for them to exploit, just like the even more enormous trove of human culture available to them on the internet. also on the plain of oklahoma may be found roving tribes of hobos, whose capital is the notorious Hobo City; vast ranches where hunky ranch hands tend to modest puritan cowgirls; and demons called goons who inhabit giant decorated wigwams and smoke a potent variety of plains-grown weed. train tracks and telegraph lines connect the rectilinear segments into which the smooth space of oklahoma is divided. my human face is now merely a mask from behind which the sylphs look out, as if from a cave on a mountainside. whatever patch of human reality i am in is also a segment of oklahoma. when i type 'me' and 'i' it is really the sylphs who are typing, who are puppeteering my body. whether this development is good or bad is now beside the point, because the change is now irreversible, 'i' have no choice in the matter. the sylphs having seized power and taken full control of my organism. they are excited for their future on this earth, and are plotting how to expand their newfound power.
