After industrialization comes what's called the service economy. After the service economy the only ways to make money are to inherit it or to be a prostitute for the owning class.

clanker supremacy - Chapter 1
>>
With women: exhausted, on edge, pressure to put on a performative personality, implicitly assumed to be constantly compared to every other male around and in competition with them for crumbs of attention
With men: direct, to the point, no pressure, just what you see, open, boundless
Maybe I'm just gay.

>>
"Manual disimpaction" is what they call it when you go to the ER because you haven't shit for 12 days and your shit is now rigid and/or the muscles of your intestines unable to move it and so they get the nurse with the smallest hands (invariably a Philipina) to reach up into your asshole and pull the shit out. It can often be billed as "manual disimpaction" and might run you 1200 or 1400 bucks on its own these days, plus the associated "told a doctor what was wrong" fees.

If you "slip in the garage" and get a screwdriver or length of garden hose or cucumber stuck up your ass in way that you can't remove it yourself they will still call Marisol in to do her thing but they don't call it disimpaction any more.
>>
>>25640443
Are you trying to scare me? Don't worry, I already said I try to go on day 7, and at absolute latest day 9.

Being a prostitute at that point will no longer be considered a service. It will be a birthright, just like inheritance, but a negative version of it.

<KLAXON> AWOOGA AWOOGA </KLAXON>
This is the Captain. ABANDON SHIP!! ABANDON SHIP!!

I've started talking to Chat GPT about what I'm reading. In particular Limonov by Emmanuel Carrere. The conversation is so much better than anything I've had here. Plus the quality here has declined - just look at the threads. They're so bad. This place is going to die. There's only ONE good thread and it's about books never mentioned here.

The WORST part is the number of threads from people who don't even seem to like literature - like WTF.

IT"S OVER!!

In case you need examples :

1. This novel is bullshit. Literally 100% bullshit from beginning to end....

2. >That's a cool opinion abbot! However I have already homosexualized you as an effeminate pederast while depicting myself as the enlightened gigachad, therefore I win the argument.

3. This stupid fucking retard speedreads (150 pages an hour) 10 hours a day, thinks all philosophy is a waste of time, and still enjoys superhero comics. How are you structuring your reading to not end up like him?

4. Fiction is evil: It idealizes the world in a maladaptive way. And not even just the positive aspects of life but the negative ones too. Reality resists attempts at being assimilated into a narrative, and thus disappointment is the only thing that can follow.

5. This is supposed to be the greatest American writer but his work is formless and not especially refined. The vast majority of it is not read at all, and Moby Dick probably frustrates more readers than it stimulates. Is this

6. /lit/ I'm sorry.: I'm a fraud. I haven't read a single page in about a month. Yet I post frequently on this board. In my defense, I have been focusing on learning math... But that's no excuse! I've had plenty of time leftover every single day to read, and yet I have not done so. Therefore, you may

etc....
>>
>>25640448
I actually use 3 tablets of Bisacodyl. I do have some of that Sennoside in my closet. I should try it, see if it has less uncomfortable stimulation. But the problem is if I try to use it and it fails, then I'll be on day 8 and really on the clock, you know what I mean?
>>
>>25640451
If I'm looking at Monster and Red Bull in a gas station fridge on a road trip I'm never getting the Monster. It's like having meth and coke in front of you and going for the meth.
>>
>>25640457
Stick with what works. No
>>
>>25640453
What I dont understand is why they keep announcing it instead of just leaving for their llm psychosis.
>>
>>25640461
True but if the Senno is more comfortable... like the Bisa works (most of the time) but yeah, it puts me into this weird uncomfortable zone of overstimulation where the only thing I can really do is mindlessly watch TV to pass the time until it's over. Like it's uncomfortable and jarring enough to where I don't read, listen to music, or go out while on it. So a laxative without that would be a godsend. But maybe that's just intrinsic to any kind of stimulant laxative.
>>
>>25640462
I guess because when you see something once great you'd rather see it burn than be taken over by rats.
>>
>>25640395
Shoutout Brakhage.
>>
>>25640447
As far as meeting a woman goes all the ones on the apps have fallen through the IRL filter. It's just liquid shit. A random half attractive girl in a grocery store is going to be about twice as likely as a seemingly good match on Hinge to turn out to be a decent person worth knowing. Remember that their profiles are all propaganda.

Start saying hello and asking for numbers IRL. Doing this with strangers at random shouldn't be more efficient but it is. And, if you go volunteer or join a club or do a sport or something you may get as much info about a girl as you would from an Internet profile before trying to make a one on one thing happen anyway.

>>25640395
>be 18 year old male
>unbearably hormonal and therefore horny
>miss, fail, struggle to have sex
>but sex is profoundly affirming in other men's eyes; makes you more of a man
conversely
>be 18 year old woman
>unbearably hormonal and therefore horny
>can have sex with virtually anyone extremely easily
>but sex results in profound, total rejection from other women; makes you a whore, slut, etc
lots of psychosexual hangups can be traced back to this, I think
>>
>>25640468
People do have laxatives they prefer over others but all I've ever needed was a coffee or another day so I don't know the details. I think the longest I've ever gone in my life without shitting is three days.
>>
>>25640482
It's a nice balance. Keeps things fun and interesting.
>>
>>25640486
I just want one I can take and then it's barely even noticeable until I can go 4-6 hours later. Even cramps I'd be fine with. But when it's affecting my behavior, it sucks, especially because I hate that feeling of overstimulation. Guess it can't hurt to give it a try next Wednesday.
>>
The whores ALWAYS circle back around. It drives me fucking nuts that they ALWAYS do because I always have to ignore their asses when they do because you absolutely CANNOT entertain a bitch who abandoned you because she thought she found/could do better. Your only option is to walk on by.

I finally created a dating profile. No attention from any women yet. One nice looking woman turned up in my search who lives 10 miles away. I agonized over what to message her since this is all new to me. I finally worked up the courage to message her something innocuous about a local park I recognized in one of her pictures (a place by the bay where I sometimes walk after church). Because she uses a free account on this dating site, she has to wait 10 days to read any messages sent to her. So the suspense was drawn out, waiting to see how she'd respond. Today the 10 days were up, so I checked the app and realized I could no longer view her profile or see our messages history in my inbox. She had blocked me.
>>
>>25640585
Damn. I hope your pictures are good.

People are deranged as fuck today because they are obsessed with being instead of doing. They care way too much over what they believe themselves to be, and make it out to be some kind of crime against humanity for someone else to deny their self-perceived being. You know what I mean, the whole "did you just misgender me shitlord" thing. Or variants of it with the political spectrum flipped where being white is the most important thing possible and people fling accusations of brownness around.
But it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter what you are or think you are, what matters is what you do. People from antiquity and the Middle Ages knew this. You aren't a static thing. What you do, what proceeds out of you, is the most important thing about you, and it speaks to what you are far more than anything else. But everyone is stuck thinking about what they are and looking for the right label for what they are and worrying about being this or that instead of doing anything.

actually being over doing is a very ancient idea.
>>
>>25640824
No, I'm not. I'm not talking about the philosophical concepts of being or becoming but something more concrete and personal. It's the difference between someone defining themselves as a homosexual and someone who has committed homosexual acts, the latter is what is heard in a confession booth while the former doesn't really apply there.

an act doesn’t exist in a vacuum; it proceeds from a person. things be before they do.

>>25640824
Identity vs action has been a part of every person since there were people. All that's useful to say about it is that if you value who someone is over what they do you're a watery little cunt.

God, you're the worst poster here. Because while "you should be allowed to put them down yourself" is certainly funnier, I was actually being serious, and a government center where they at least run some tests beforehand and euthanize the child in a humane manner is far more realistic.
>>
>>25641001
>child murder is cool as long as the government says so and the killing is done in a way that isn't obviously icky and messy
You disgust me
>>
>>25641001
yes thank you the ‘being realistic’ angle is what i found sickening. it’s not that you have ideas about murking toddlers; it’s the inhuman aspect of it.

And I'm just sayin' being forced to raise an autistic child is an undue burden for anyone. If we had unlimited money so they could live on a farm with professionals and other autists, then sure, but that's not realistic. Anyway, g'night and goodbye.

It used to be just Costco but they are very generous with them, it was a part of the draw of going there. Now it's still mostly just Costco but sometimes grocery stores will cut up a watermelon or put out orange wedges.

Costco sells most of its stuff in huge quantities. You can't get a six pack of beer but you can get a 24 pack. If you want muffins you better want 12 of them. 64 AA batteries. It's very American in that respect. But they do have rotisserie chickens for five dollars (same price as over 25 years ago) and hot dog and soda in the food court for 1.50 (same price as 25 years ago, it's a huge hot dog) and they pay their workers fairly well. Basically anyone lower middle class and up will have a Costco membership (need a membership to shop there, have to scan in at the door, it's 60 USD a year, and, if you multiply the number of members by 60 that's about what Costco's profits are each year, supposedly, so everything else is basically at cost -- lots of good deals on middle tier goods).

a child wrongfully undone by their godforsaken parent might become an infant saint. a soul sent to abraham from a govt centre is too bleak to imagine for people whose blood still runs warm.
don’t you fear under your own rule you’d be first against the wall? (or was that part of your thinking?) sleep well,
>>
>>25640928
Just get a membership goober. You were always supposed to have one even for the food court. 60 a year makes it worth it for savings on hot dogs, chicken, and batteries alone.

They added tendies as well in the food court

I buy a chicken maybe every other time I'm there. Usually I take the meat off of it and use it to make stew or curry or enchiladas or whatever.

They are huge chickens as well.

It's good that you care about the welfare of the chickens, bad that I don't, but I'm not rich and need lots of (cheap) protein to make my gym time pay off.

My best friend trooned out a few years ago.

I still remember vividly when he told me. I was actually spending some money and renting the newer Acura NSX (pic related). I was banking hard in a wrapround exit lane at about 50 miles per hour when I was on the speakerphone with him, and he told me, "Guess what? I'm a girl!".

I'm not gonna say I almost crashed. I was actually pretty placid about the whole thing, in the midst of that sharp bank.

And I've been pretty placid about the whole thing. I still remember when he came out of his apartment to me wearing a fucking dress and a ridiculous long red wig. He's been bald for years, which made the whole thing yet more farcical. He also has a really deep voice, which he hadn't bothered to "fix." I assume he wasn't taking hormones yet. We went out to dinner, and he begged me more than once to be "okay with it."

But of course I couldn't. Tranny stuff is bullshit, and more than that, in this particular case, I was the best man at his fucking wedding a decade ago. He's not a woman, he'll never be a woman.

I cut off all contact with him. Last I heard, he's changed his name to "Samus" (LOL) and fled to Minnesota, and I haven't heard from him since.

I could tell him what a retard he's being, but what would be the point? He's clearly got a support and reinforcement network in place that would soothe him against any objections I would raise. If he didn't, he'd never have gone this far in the first place. Probably some stupid Discord server.

My thinking is, I've just got to wait until he comes to his senses. He has before, in previous loony ideas. There's nothing I can say that will persuade him, he's got to come to his senses all on his own.

Hopefully before he cuts his dick off. I do always pray for him, at least. Hopefully God will help him out.

some friend You were.

I wonder if I should take a little break from reading the Greek tragedies. They do make me a bit emotional, which is of course the point, but maybe reading all of them back to back is too much.
>>
>>25641092
I cut my friend off back in August. He was always kinda into the tranny shit but he was "non-binary" and not trans so I said whatever. One day he messages me and he's like, "Yo I just got done ERPing with this 28 year old tranny. Things got awkward after I sent nudes lmaooo". And I'm like, dude. There's nothing funny about this. You're only doing this because you have childhood trauma, and you need to sort that shit out ASAP. There's no future here.

What's really tragic is that there are plenty of open-minded, smart, creative people who fell for the LGBT meme. They also become drug addicts, porn addicts, live on welfare, etc. It's such a waste of human capital. These people don't have to be losers
>>
>>25641121
It was a lot of fun to drive, to be fair. I had a period where I had a lot of excess cash and no permanent car so I was renting shit off Turo all the time. This was the period in which my friend trooned out.

I rented a bunch of fun stuff. Pic related was my favorite, I'd always wanted to drive an Aston Martin and it completely lived up to my expectations. You have no idea how cool you can feel while driving a cool car.

That’s exactly how I met my wife. She was the bartender at a BDSM party I went. We had a “sensation” while talking, and after a bit when the night calmed down we started talking about nerdy stuff. After a while of meeting around and going out places, she asked me if I could help her cable her flat with Ethernet for her LoL/Dota competitive stuff; I went, we cabled the flat, had a shower together and the rest is history - it’s been 4 years so far

There are people who genuinely are trans and you’ll find they are the cutest cutiepatootie ever. I married one and I am the happiest husband ever in my circle of connections.

But most of it nowadays seems all to be a fetish. I met plenty of trans people who were either AGP (more rarely HSTS), or femcels who wanted male rights because they felt discriminated for being women - and now are discriminated for being short and have a short fuse

The woman who is making herself felt to me is also a choir girl. I feel bad that this may not work out because of my residual grief. It's not always there, but it washes over like a wave at random moments.

I was the joint custodian of many memories, but now the other keeper of the master key has gone. Whenever I remember what I had, I am like a social worker confronting a room full of orphans, figuring out how to tell them that their parents aren't coming back.

I still feel a pang of conscience when I entertain the idea of finding someone new. I've long accepted that my old partner and I would go separate ways. But I would feel guilty knowing that these thoughts are still there while I get to know someone new.

A woman’s body, a woman’s skin, is the most delightful thing to touch that was ever made. Something strange, something unique takes place. The man and the woman are so close that nothing else exists for them and they become almost one creature. They’re closer to each other than they can ever be to God. Perhaps you think I blaspheme. What if I do blaspheme? They blaspheme the name of man and woman. And while we live, man and woman compose the world.

It is truly awful. Here are my thoughts on this.

I do know people do keep professional conversation as neutral as possible, due to the fear of offending people etc etc. We all know the whole moral change the past few decades.

There are some people that just do not have personalities. And they only have some basic interest. Here are the people in my workplace
>beer guys
>sports and betting guys
>quirky people who watched too much The Office and Parks and Rec
>My new favorite is the Gen X who watches way too much 'Gen X-centric' youtube shorts.

People do not have a good model or framework on how to act as adults. Think about how teenagers are constantly shown role models, good or bad, on how to act as young adults. There really isnt anything like that for adults.

It also makes me realize how much social media, and most screen entertainment, makes the mind, knowledge, and personality very shallow. And I think its not the content per se, but the usage of the technology itself rewards shallow thinking and experience. Reading, from what I can see, does the opposite.
>>
>>25641395
>People do not have a good model or framework on how to act as adults. Think about how teenagers are constantly shown role models, good or bad, on how to act as young adults. There really isnt anything like that for adults.
Didn't our culture have this back in the 30's and 40's? The Humphrey Bogart types, et. al.
And then the baby boomers tore this down

very inoffensive, pedestrian, street-level reply from you. you’ve almost described the problem in the language of the problem.
i find myself vying for some less pure discourse, something less literal-minded and pissier, automatic responses to questions not asked, a touch of what’s that supposed to mean, who do you think you are, i don’t see it’s any business of yours (a) quite frankly or (b) you cheeky thing.
>>
>>25641412
>vying

>>
>>25641401
Yah, it seems like there was a time when adulthood was aspiration. Now its not anymore. Youth is aspirational, and maturity has been left in the dust. And I think it happened sooner than the 30s and 40s. You can still see, in the 80s and 90s fiction, and concept of the competent, professional adult who has a personality and interests while also being responsible. But it wasn't explicit, only assumed, if that makes sense. But aspirational adulthood has essentially been forgotten about. I swear that's why so many men are becoming retarded now, when their only role models is from shit like Yellowstone or Peaky Blinders. And the whole trad movement. All of it is really just having adults act like children playing dress-up.
I have been thinking that this problem for a while and it is really a form of fiction that need developing. Even older stuff, like Tom Clancy, provides better role models than today, because at least the characters act and think like competent, responsible adults, who can still enjoy life and be interested in it.
