I was delving through some old Roze stuff and I think there's a bit lost in translation regarding Norland's motive.The motive he basically admits to floated by Sakuya is 生理的な嫌悪感 and it seems that the official translation is "disgust" and people (in old threads) question the logic behind that, but that leaves out 生理的 - it's pathological disgust. There is no logic, he seems humans and feels grossed out the way humans might see bugs, and thus wants to exterminate mankind the way humans put down roach motels or whatever. I think it's an alright motive for a villain and it is your prerogative to disagree but if you're asking "but WHY though?" then you're missing the point.
