Latest volume, Universal Conversion Development Machinehttps://hobby.dengeki.com/aoz/illust/reboot82/In other news we've had a Hazel Hrair teaser and the manga hiatus might be ending soon.
>>23453304It's good to have official word on the Pale Rider DII matter, I suppose a Rah II form will use the alternative connection method then. But now I'm wondering what else might have transpack system compatibility if even Psycho Mk-IV and Zaku Mariner have it.
>>23453601>Augusta NT Lab prototype>Missing link between Anaheim-made Mk-III and EFF's Mk-V>Chest and backpack structure look more conventional than either of them>Quasi Psycommu test unit>Stealth and infiltration capabilities>All around high performance general use platformI want to believe. If Psycho Mk-IV can have it, so can regular Mk-IV. It's just sensible to have this kind of versatility on a prototype in this role. And I love it very much.
>>23453304>the manga hiatus might be ending soon.when will Hazel be off the boat
>>23453913Don't you dare
>>23454015I'm terrified. More?
>>23453601The backpacks offer a lot of fun options, but I think people are sleeping a bit on what the Primrose alone can do by using the Core Fighter standard...
>>23455567I hadn't considered the idea of mixing colors...
>>23455790That's just the colors for ReZeon-use Queenly. Most of their stuff is crimson red, but some things retain the Black Hares coloring.Incidentally I just realized Black Hares-colored Psycho Mk-II would have white feet. Kinda strange, but neat and works well.
I like this very muchly.
>>23455556isn't that just the dendrobium night fighter from that one game or something?
>>23456500it's from Solomon Express, but yes that's the idea. Just a funny thought.
>>23456439I thought that was a barzam’d zeta until I recognized the artist
>>23456439The extra leg structure feels like a pretty sensible "hi mo" barzam leg overall
>>23456948It's obviously mixed with Zeta but it made me imagine Barzam with Mk-V style leg thrusters on the sides
consider: Vervain Holst
>Kelderek compatible with just about anything made in the OYW>except for the GT FourAlright then.
>>23458890Some designs were simply too ahead of their time
>>23458890GT-Four is an enigma all aroundHowever.Keep in mind it's built entirely around the Core Fighter. And Primrose is a compatible replacement for it.
I think about this fan art a lot. Of course with the recent info we know slapping the Mk-II backpack isn't so easy for DII, but this does have a modified chest so one could imagine there were other changes as well. If Zaku Mariner, which uses original Zaku parts, can be upgraded like that, why not a special DII?But my favorite thing are the thrusters on the legs, they match the common motif of the Advanced units while using Pale Rider's pre-existing expansion options. All the other little features add a lot of charm too. That said, I am kinda glad the new volume sort of gave me a blessing to go ahead with a Pale Rider Rah-II that uses the alternative connection method. Eventually, at least.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Hrair-chan...Thinking about it, Kelderek-chan is yet to show up, right?
Have to post one last picture of this happy nuclear Martian family. Really glad I finally got my hands on a Barzam II rendition I can own. I remember when I first got into Advance of Zeta back in 2016 the designs that really got my attention were the Woundwort Ex and the Barzam II. I spent, and still spend, hours just looking at the designs imagining how they would behave if they were machines that were actually made. If you had put a gun to my head and told me to name my favorite AoZ back then I would have said one of those two, then after a while it would've been the base Woundwort and, after even more of a while, it would've been the Hazel Rah. These days I honestly would tell you to blow my head off over picking a single favorite. The more time passes, and the more designs keep churning down that pipeline, the more I think Fujioka is the best designer that still gets regular work within the franchise. Others like Katoki, Ebikawa and Gyoubu are more misses than hits for me. It's easy to forget that Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans was originally tied to the A New Translation movies that were coming out in the early 2000's. And, while everything else that was coming out at the time to tie-in with the movies (up to and including the movies themselves) has been largely forgotten by time while Flag of Titans, now rebranded ReBoot still under the Advance of Zeta moniker, is still going strong. And it does so on the sheer strength of it's designs.I read the FoT novels that were translated by Zeonic and it's really nothing special, I think. It has no real stand out action scenes for the designs to shine. It had no equivalent of Brave Cod going to town on the FAZZ team with the Mk-V. And as for the manga, they really should've hired a better artist. Those machines warrant linework on the level of Ark Performance. The designs were kept in fan's memories by looks alone in the interim between FoT and ReBoot.
My Woundy's CBS bellows frame arm snapped ;_;it's just the peg part so easy fix and I think that one is from a bootleg, but it's still sad...>>23459007Pretty red girls...AoZ is tied to the general Zeta-themed push around ANT releases but it actually predates the first movie by two years, and it seems like Fujioka dates the beginning a few years before that, but these things do take time so it's nothing too surprising. Regarding the novel, I like how different it is. Both from other Gundam novels i've read and from gundam shows. It feels rather blunt and curt, but that makes it hit harder when it does pull away from basic facts and technical info to talk about the mental states of the characters or the circumstances around them. The combat is chaotic, brief and scary first and foremost, showing off the mecha is a side piece at most. The manga... the art is aggressively average, but in fairness things like MSV-R are the standouts, most Gundam manga have only serviceable art really. And I like how it adds more fluff and depth to the war half, letting us know the characters better.
on another note new Watership 4.5 goodies
>>23459041>My Woundy's CBS bellows frame arm snapped ;_;just don't use it man it's hinderance more than anything
>>23459045autistic degree of attention to detail with Hizack boobs, love to see itAnd Hazel looks so nice with a Hizack backpack
>>23459052there are some fan addition here of course plus a bit of speculation, but it's still a pretty convenient chart>>23459051on an intellectual level I agreebut I can't just not try to stick it into a 3mm hole and have a little bellows arm hanging out of other stuff
>>23459052>Hi-Zack (TR-1 head)nise
>>23453297Violent sex with rabbit pinup art
>>23459374naughty nonny...wish it was an earlier hour
>>23458994You mean as a bunnygirl? I'm sure she's showed up at least once
I'm convinced AoZ modelers are some of the nuttiest people in the hobby
>>23460537Not a fan of how the sub-arms look, they're not that wide in the art, are they?
>>23456439
I'm starting to develop an addiction to slapping the Messala claws onto anything I can think of. Got a (bootleg) PR Cavalry on the way, I worry for its fate in my hands,TR Barzam is a really goddamn strange kit, on another note. Absolutely fantastic engineering, but a few points are simply poorly designed honestly. But the hands are the weirdest thing, they're simple square holes but somehow uniquely well suited to all sorts of weapons that are normally more picky. Here it is with a 90mm rifle from Hazel II and the old HGUC Mk-II's bazooka, both fit snugly. It's also better suited to holding the CBS than Woundwort itself.
>>23460872How’d you attach the claw? Is it just held on with the shoulder attachment?
>>23460909Yah, it's a 3mm peg so it can hold all sorts of shit besides the beam rifle. Not very strong attachment, mind, but it doesn't fall off by itself so it's enough for just standing there with a shield or something. I was inspired by the Vervain using it to connect to the Kehaar II shield. Obviously it's also mounted on the forearm somehow and this is an additional energy supply cable, but this is good enough for just playing around with the parts.
>>23456624I never doubted the day when the term “Barzam’d” came to be
>>23460985who the FUCK calls Elle a fuckup and who is their next of kin because they're gonna get a call
>>23461069I mean, it applies to most of the ZZ squad desu
>>23461087not a single one of them but society is not ready for that conversation
>>23459007With the novel I really like the courtroom drama part, pretty sure it's one of a kind for a Gundam story.Plus fun world building about things that aren't usually mentioned.
>>23462047Notice how even dedicated fanartists don't even begin to try to make sense of that extra mass that sprouts from the Hyzenthlay's leg when it deploys the hover unit.
>>23462053Elaborate
Holst Glashtin... think about it...
>>23462347All this extra shit that comes out of nowhere when the Hyzenthlay II deploys the hover unit. In FoT the hovers just drop down to attach to that support structure much like the ReZeon Barzam. In ReBoot some extra bullshit has to be attached to achieve the same effect. It was so much more elegant before.
>>23463071It doesn't come out of nowhere actually, the ReBoot design just has those extra bits flip down. You can see how it works in the art you posted, but if you cross reference with this piece the full picture of how it works should be clear.
>>23463272A more direct showcase
>>23463272>>23463314Oh see it now. It all slides down the back leg bit. Still think the FoT design has a more elegant solution though.
>>23464449I love this V-fin design
>>23464935https://x.com/nana_azukc/status/1959224659452494122The author said the idea is it's like an angel hatching from an egg, reflecting how it's a Reben Wolf converted to TR-6 and equipped with Psycommu. A Quasi-Psycommu unit undergoing awakening.
>>23465035>eggWe already have girls with dicks, I don't think we need more trans allegories
>>23465044QRD??
excuse the rampant color mismatch, it's very much so in prototype stagesMessala claws are very versatile, you can crush and pry open Zeek fucks with them, disperse crowds with vulcans and use grenades for all sorts of fun ideas! They can also hold beeeg weapons for cool posing while you pretend the suit can somehow hold it in its own hand.On another note... additional backpack unit composed of large thrusters, additional sensors and mounting points for additional equipment such as thruster/sub arm units or G-Line gatling smashers with some fuel tanks to boot. Not entirely too different from Hrududu, honestly. Also a bitch to photograph properly, but I'm gonna make Build Mk-II an honorary AoZ design one way or another.>>23465044You said it, not me. But there's no shortage of them in the story either.
How many TR Plan units are designed to inflict psychological trauma?
>>23465596All of them. Not necessarily to the enemies
>>23465049idk subarms or something
>>23465049QRD on which bit?
>>23465596How would this psychological warfare thing even work on a Zeon civil war anyway? The sight of a Gundam putting the fear of God into Zeeks makes sense, but how can it inspire allies? When your allies are your fellow Zeeks? It's like if there was infighting between Nazi remnants immediately after WWII and to rally the troops some Nazis would wave the USSR flag.
>>23465932IIRC ReZeon copes by saying Zeon came up with the idea of MS so the Gundam is actually a Zeon achievement, in a roundabout way, and they're just taking it back. I guess mental gymnastics are easier with lower gravity
>>23465848>How is an egg a trans allegory? >Which characters are girls with dicks?
>>23465976"egg" is a term used to refer to people who are trans but haven't realized it yet, haven't transitioned yet, etc. Basically, they "haven't come out of their shell" it's also a term used by the more pushy and obnoxious members of the trans community, who try to force the idea that "oh you like girly things? you must be an egg!" and the like.As for actual girls with dicks in AoZ, htere's picrel, one of the puru clones that came out as a femboy/dickgirl due to a fuckup in the clonin process, and then there's all the TR-series MS who are always depicted as bunnygirls, and have massive schlongs.
>>23465988>Failed replication Sad that the Japanese can't explore cool sci-fi concepts without Troons trying to latch onto it.
>>23466323
>>23466324Dont try to pretend thqt she isn't the author's (VERY) thinly disguised fetish
>>23466349She's depicted as a violent psycho rapist thoughbeit.
>>23466353I don remember that part, wasn't she just angry for being futa-shamed? And I don't think its ever mentioned ingame. I certainly dont remember any rape. It's been ages though
>>23466379She commits necrophillia in the lore.
>>23466383Uuh either elaborate or source me up senpai
>>23466409Nier Drama CD disc 2: Carnal Desire
>>23466426Huh, she does. Not surprising coming from Based Taro. Makes me wonder why we don't really see fucked up clones in gundam, they just got them right in one go. Maybe they felt that crazy cyber NTs were already a similar narrative element. I guess you could count Puru 2 as a crazy unstable clone but she was also a cyber NT which seems like the main cause for her crazyness
>>23465988That's not quite accurate. Diana is a boy, there's no real ambiguity there besides how exactly a male clone was made from cloning a woman but that's a pretty classic trope in fairness. On the other hand a major plot point for him is learning to enjoy himself and be truly happy for once... while disguised as a woman and dresses as a bunny girl. Far away from Alicia who treats him like a tool and hates him for what he has in his pants. The manga as a whole also has a running theme about changing and becoming your "true form" regardless of what you were born as - see picrel for a translated example, there's some more later on.Lastly Fujioka has said Woundwort would be an otokonoko (literally male daughter). It was probably just a joke or lighthearted comment, but the term itself can be used to refer to anything from male crossdressers to socially but not medically transitioned trans women depending on context. There's fuck all context there so don't look into it too much though, plus Japan has a somewhat skewed view on these things (not that the west doesn't, just in a different way) and there's like four different terms for "varietes" of what comes down to "girl with a dick" and there's been a long undercurrent of trans-related talk in them but it's something that flies under the radar even for most people in Japan, let alone westerners interacting with the content. Regardless, it's probably not too relevant here, I don't think I have ever seen any discussion of that in AoZ among japanese fans.idk why I bothered writing all that on this site of all things
On another topic, this feels very AoZ-styled or is it just me?
>>23466805It's the doven back cannons. What is this thing?
Let's try not to think about how many children had to be deep fried so the Hyzenthlay could triple wield beam sabers + a heat blade.
>>23466992A custom HGUC Dijeh with Silver Bullet/Doven Wolf bakpack, Gustav Karl skirts, Stark Jegan(?) shoulders, and Jesta rifle and Jegan shield
>>23467382I'm gonna go with at least two, given the second core block on the crotch. Do you think the BUNNyS systems talk to each other, or does the stronger one just eat the weaker one?
>>23467382I think it's so cool how it uses an entire Woundwort torso as sub arms. Fujioka seems to be just about the only Gundam designer who doesn't look at his designs as guy in suits and instead looks at them as machinery so the sky the limit on what is possible. Just attach a different MS torso on the crotch and use it as sub arms, why the fuck not?
Definitely took less kids than Scirocco diddled. He didn't need to do that for his biosensor setup, but we all know he did it.
>>23467668>>23467382
>>23467668I thought Scirocco was only into adult women
>>23466992the idea is "Dijeh modernized with other suit parts" AFAIK

is this out of scale? legitimately asking, since I feel like the one on the right is bigger than the one on the left
>>23468411looks to scale to me. Rmemeber the backpack can swing up and down. I woudln't sweat minor size differences, for all we know the design isn't even finalized yet
>>23468411Fujioka's drafts vary a lot in scale. The middle image is notoriously insanely scaled with the Xeku MG.
>>23468421yeah I know, but it felt weird to me so I just wanted to know if I wasn't the only one>>23468424>The middle image is notoriously insanely scaled with the Xeku MGfrom Sentinel? but that doesn't have a MG
>>23468440Xeku machinegun
>>23468443still lost, I don't know what you're talking about
>>23468449The Xeku machinegun is absurdly sized. That's the weapon it's holding in its right arm.
>>23468451oh, now I get it, didn't realize it was that weapon
>>23467895>nice work on the details>what paints do you use?Everything is mix of Tamiya and Mr. Color. Some are acrylics, some are enamel, others are lacquer. Yes, applying lacquers with a paintbrush is painful but on small details it's fine. Topcoated with GX-113 on the white parts, with Tamiya X-35 on everything that isn't white. Also applied waterslides. The red bits is actually Citadel Color, Evil Sunz Scarlet. The shade of red matches the lineart pretty closely and it's easy to apply on the small bits like the on the fingers. Got this tip from gunplapocchi, of all places. The most extensive work was on the TR-6 subarms as the ones that come with the kit aren't articulated. Had to paint all the gray bits to match the rest of the joints as the HG TR-6 has different colored gray parts than the Hazel. And with HG Woundworts being so cheap and readily available, it was very much worth getting another one just so I could use those arms. No way in hell I would pay for a legit Bandai Woundwort just for that. Even that AK TR-6 is a bit on the steep side just for those few parts.
>>23468451>>23468457for comparison this anons hazel >>23465050 is standing next to a Xeku machine gun, damn thing would still be longer if hazel was a head taller
>>23465050I fucking hate the Gatling smasher. My G-line is intentionally left unfinished because its such a retarded design. Why does it look like a missile pod but shoot bullets? Why couldn't they add a flip top, or gatling mechanism? Why couldn't they have just called it a missile launcher?
>>23469759Agreed
>>23469759It's strange since on the original it feels like it's really intended to be a successor to the Guncannon spraypod. On the otherhand, it has an ejection port.I've always liked the shape myself and not worried too much about the functionality because yeah, it's goofy as Hell pretending to be a firearm.
>>23469769The worst part is that the illustration looks fine. I would genuinely believe it was a gun if it held that design. Its like they made an intern use blender for the first time and all he knew to make were basic cylinders.
>>23469760>>23469769If you guys hate the gatling smasher, just look at the light armor variant. Fucking water sprinkler design.
>>23469778those are missile launchers
>>23469778As the other anon said those are actually missiles and make sense.
>>23469769>>23469773The art looks decent, almost like a cold war gunpod>>23469778Phoneposting right now, but imagine I posted a gif of an anime girl projectile vomiting. What the fuck are those supposed to be? Anripersonnel mines aiming directly at the back of your head?
>>23469773Well part of the weird thing is that it has matching red tubes on the rear, implying they would be like a recoilless rifle/rocket/missile at least. But the ejection port and lack of actual barrels...
>>23469796They're quartets of missiles. They can move around a lot in modern reps, but traditionally they were just vertical launch missiles and they were mounted to the shoulders instead.
>>23469798I would have gone with that anons idea and just mentally write it off as beam emitters. >>23469785>>23469789That makes it slightly better, but then the swivel mechanism and the tuna can pod isnt doing the design any favors.
>>23469798The barrels are inside the pod, if you removed the casing it would probably look like four browning MGs stacked in a cross shape. Probably with an elaborate belt and chute system to push the casings from 4 guns into one ejection port. Now, why would they have open ports in the back? Maybe cooling.
>>23469815They're pretty small missiles and it's always worth remembering these are 18m warmachines, frankly speaking there is simply nothing wrong with that missile attachment. It makes plenty of sense.
>>23469816the inside of the pod is certainly nothing but 4 barrels and the rest is filled with ammunition to be able to fire it for more than 2 seconds
>>23469815We've had good micro missiles since at least Zeta, possiblt even before that, and they can usually be mounted in flat surfaces and just turn as they exit the launcher. Why the need for the weird arms?
>>23469828I imagine it works something like the Aperture Science turrets, just a hollow recepacle where bullets are litwrally poured in, and a piston to just push them out of the barrels.
>>23469829Quite frankly because they didn't know what to do with the light type backpack in the redesign. The connecting piece is that cool triple-vernier array in the original lineart reimagined (except without being vernier) and I suspect they wanted it to be able to be placed above the shoulders. Also because lots of people find little articulated weapon holders cool I guess. Prior to the HG kit I'm not sure there was any depiction of them articulating either, they used to just be fixed vertical launch on the sides of the backpack I believe. Been a while since I played 0081 though (and I only cared about/played a lot of about the Standard Armour G-Line anyways).
>>23469816It's called a gatling thoughthere should only be one chamber
>>23469837Worth noting that Fujioka also follows the "fixed position vertical launch" arrangement in his art too
>>23469840Well there's 4 openings, so either the entire armature rotates like some unholy wheedwhacker and defeats the purpose of having a gatling gun in the first place, or the Japanese designer didn't know what Gatling means, take your pick. There's no real point in having a gatling gun in UC anyways, since weapon heat is not a thing and MS magically cool down in vacuum
>>23469851> so either the entire armature rotates like some unholy wheedwhacker and defeats the purpose of having a gatling gun in the first place, or the Japanese designer didn't know what Gatling means, take your pick.to be fair all that needs to rotate is the faceplate >since weapon heat is not a thing and MS magically cool down in vacuumI mean I know where you're coming from, just like MS don't give a fuck about ammo storage or the sizes of their calibers all the time, but there are times they call attention to heat being a problem. Namely the rapid fire attachments for the Superior's smartgun (and Re-Haze's rapid fire CSB etc) are cooling devices to achieve sustained fire.
>>23469857Yrah but then you have super high RoF ballistic weapons being used in space without any signs of the barrels heating up, so who knows how that works>Rotating faceplateNow I'l not an engineer so I can't say for certain, but isn't the whole point of a gatling gun to let rhe barrels cool down independantly? And wouldn't joinging all four barrels together at the hottest bit be counter productive to that?
>>23469879Most guns in Gundam are already so massive they could be containing cooling solutions, even these Gatling Smashers could underneath that shroud. The hottest point is near the chamber (where the explosion happens) not near the muzzle. But yeah, that's the point, to let the barrels cool down for longer sustained fire. To rotate barrels you have to have them attached together somewhere (and that somewhere has to be properly supported and rigid even as they heat up, so you need connection points near the muzzle, chamber, and midway at minimum) so they're always going to be transferring some amount of heat to a central structure, and with time, each other, but it takes a while for all that to happen. At this point, modern gatlings are generally about pumping out stupidly high RPM in short bursts. The A-10's GAU-8 is the best example we've got but these only have 4 barrels and work on silly oversized Gundam calibers (not that they even have a caliber but they'd probably be something huge).
>>23469902My cope is that each cylinder actually houses vulcans that would typically be mounted in the mk II vulcan housing. A gatling pod containing 4 separate rotary guns sounds better than 1 comically large potted plant with 4 barrels and no sign of ammo housing or any firing mechanism.
>>23469910>the gatling smasher is actually just a gatling of gatlings
>>23469916I like to compare it to ww2 improvised weaponry like this bad boy. Just took mounted a battery of submachineguns on an aircraft floor and called it a day.
>>23469759counterpoint: I think they look neat and I wanted to put them on my Hazel
>>23470055Sold just from that picture. I'm going to donate my gatling smasher and Shekinah to a Barzam if I ever get one.
>>23469837This is also the design Battle Operation 2 bases its version on, though you cant see the missiles from its profile image
>>23465050>when you can't use beam weapons because of collateral damage risks
>>23469910>>23469916Not really even a new idea for a cluster of gatling guns
>>23470284On one hand, you would assume most TTT machines would have ballistics, since their job is to hunt zeon remnants and those usually hide in colonies. On the other, the Titans don't really care about collateral. But you have to wonder about the optics of the forces supposed to protect the colony carrying colony destroyers around
>>23470197They gave us a worms eye view on purpose becuase they knwo that the missile pod looks fucking retarded.
>>23471049Eh, I don't think they sweat all ballistic loadouts too much very often. It's good to have the versatility, but keep in mind the one time we see Hizack Customs in the anime (so the variant with high power beam launchers) they're in a special sniper team hiding out near a colony.Collateral damage doesn't matter if you don't care about the surroundings and Titans don't care about the colonies outside their bases.
Again like last month this is only sparsely related but new cluster bio and this time it’s the actual rook
>>23471726it's so cuuuuute
>>23471726And part two, someone translate this because this thing finally got a proper history
>>23470288Pretty sure juaggu tubes also have the same mechanism
>>23471726>>23471731the short version goes like this>Rock consists of the Forrock mobile pod, a support unit that on its own is already superior to Aqua GM or Ball Fisheye, and the Barock which is an enhanced version of Z'Gok E incorporating Hygogg features like bellows arms>The main price for this performance was short operational time when working independently>reliable footage was only discovered in UC 0149>used during the post-war Africa campaign which lasted until June 0080>during that time Zeon soldiers that refused to surrender continued fighting in African regions en masse, supported by local militaries, their common hatred of the Federation transcending the divide between Spacenoids and Earthnoids>Detailed evaluation of the unit was done by the Titans in October UC 0085>This is known thanks to former Titans who defected with the help of human right organizations from Side 3>Other variants of Barock were planned, including an artillery type and a flight type based on Zaku Speed and Gouf Flight Type>Forock is equipped on the right arm with an enhanced form of Zock's Maser Gun that can also be used as a Maser Claw>In one confirmed engagement near Mogadishu this was used to incinerate the pilots of two Aqua GMs, leaving the suits intact>While intended to be used as a mobile suit/pod duo in combat, it's possible to also use it in its combined form as a mobile armor>First unit rolled out November 19 or December 7 UC 0079 and at least 8 units were built>No wartime combat records confirmed, but as mentioned it was used in guerilla warfare shortly after the ceasefire including February Dakar Raid, May Mombasa landing operation and the June Mogadishu campaign>It was orchestrated by Walter Curtis, supposedly promoted at the tail end of the war>Last recorded encounter is dated for March 0093 when NFL used one unit in a diversionary attack on Djibouti in the leadup to the Fifth Luna drop on Lhasa
A little bit scuffed (or very) but this is the first Hazel with the Xeku machine gun + ammo drum I have ever seen. Plus a handy little binder with a rack for the beam rifle that's totally fitting in there well.
And on another note, the Shield Boosters really have a way of making any silhouette sharper.
>>23471956>Last recorded encounter is dated for March 0093 when NFL used one unit in a diversionary attack on Djibouti in the leadup to the Fifth Luna drop on LhasaThe perpetrator in question the season is upon us
>>23471726please don't make an RF Rock...>>23471956>a flight type based on Zaku Speed and Gouf Flight TypeThese deep cuts are just getting more absurd.
>>23472186>please don't make an RF Rock...we already have it thoughIt and RG Z'Gok look to be the first late type RF suits used in combat against the Federation
>>23472186Too late, that was last month’s monthly mobile machine lol
>>23472036I love this>>23472040This one is a bit odd since you're mixing the angular shields with the rounded Xeku
>>23472190>>23472192what the ever living hell is going on with those engine podswhy does the giant screw switch sides
>>23472218wat
>>23472218I was wondering the same thing, but looking at >>23471726 I think we're supposed to believe that the turbines(?) can morph into claw form, and screw form, and drill form in the RF version
>>23472218the engine pods are electromagnetic propulsion units - possibly related to Shamblo's and our own Helios Mariner's magnetic propulsionthey rotate around to use the weapons, sacrificing the extra thrust from them but that's just the sort of trade offs you have to make sometimes with compact and hydrodynamic designs
>>23472226That stretches belief given just how completely different the structures for the extendo units are.
>>23471736That is a bit of an odd history. The original lore was that Juaggu has triple 320mm rocket launchers, so it was basically designed with bazooka fingers, 320mm was also the caliber of an obscure proto-Giant Bazooka used by some models of Zaku High-Mobility type. But when Unicorn comes around, apparently that specific Juaggu was customized for higher performance. The giant "fingers" were modified to carry rapid-fire small rockets, like Guntank's arm guns but much higher performance. The old OYW mega particle chest cannons were replaced with newer beam guns as well, they fire thin beams more associated with later Zeon weapons than the typical thick OYW beams
>>23472226>>23472352My guess is that the combined Rock here simply has the drill mounted on the port side while the solo Barock has it on the starboard side. Just to display it properly since it's bigger than the Phonon Maser Cannon.
>>23472393the remnant unit is specifically noted to have been upgraded/modified, yeahsimilar to how the Zogok seen at Torrington has a heat vent in the chest instead of more boomerangs
Since this has morphed into a F90 discussion, I need explanations on how the A Type, the Q Type and the T Type differ from each other. They all serve the same function if you ask me. Which is a problem that you run into if you have to figure out different setups for different conditions for all the letters in the alphabet I suppose.
>>23472419>AMinovsky Craft for high earth mobility>Qtesting shelf nozzles for high space mobility>Tlong range interceptor needing high velocity over long distances
>>23472419>A TypeBase bombardment type capable of long range travel thanks to (comparatively) miniaturized Minovsky Flight. Naturally suited to atmospheric combat, but has potential for space tactics as well. Still rather bulky and very heavy due to the propellant, thus not designed for close combat even though it's faster than even F91.>Q TypePretty run on the mill standard high mobility type, focuses entirely on improving mobility and agility based on feedback from F90's bare form. Keep in mind F90's greatest strength is how lightweight it is, the mission packs are secondary to that. Q Type doubles down on F90's inherent strengths but doesn't add much else to the table.>T TypeSimilar to A-Type but better suited to direct combat while retaining high acceleration. More defensive capabilities and firepower, but no Minovsky Flight.
>>23472419F90A is meant for long distance flight with minovsky craft. Minovsky craft also implies high-altitude capability, I guess. This would be for atmospheric-use on Earth since Minovsky craft doesn't really apply in space.F90Q is more of a generic high-mobility type with modular thrusters all over, but also hints at some technology-sharing\stealing since Crossbone Vanguard suits also have similar thrusters in the form of "shelf nozzles". In any case, it's more about dogfighting agility, not really travel.F90T technical history does say it's based on A-type's data, but the thruster on its back supposedly incorporates data that was previously censored, I think they're referring to Titans' Gaplant booster (most of the Titans MS tech was phased out due to public shame) and the Gerbera Tetra's sturm booster (covered up and classified). Since it's all rocket-propulsion, this works better in space than the A-type.
>>23472473>This would be for atmospheric-use on Earth since Minovsky craft doesn't really apply in space. You'd think so but no, there is some potential for Minovsky Flight usage in space. It needs to push against something of course, but there's asteroids and colonies for that. Not to mention the lunar surface, and there's even possibility for tactics where Minovsky Flight-capable units push against each other's fields. It can also assist during atmospheric entry.>but also hints at some technology-sharing\stealing since Crossbone Vanguard suits also have similar thrusters in the form of "shelf nozzles"And also Anaheim's Silhouette project, Silhouette Gundam itself has very similar shoulder structure.
>>23472473you can see the same model of fuel pods mounted onto the T-Type backpack that the A-Type has mounted onto the arms and legsBut in addition to the GP04 elements, you can also see elements of the GP01-Fb's in the rotating side pods.
>>23472479Yeah, that's why I said "doesn't really" instead of flat out "doesn't work". Lunar and asteroid gravity is low enough that rockets do a good enough job of "flight" or at least really long hops. Two units using minovsky craft to bounce off of each other is a really novel idea, though. As far as I know A type wasn't designed for atmospheric entry by itself so I wasn't sure if I should claim it could be used for that.Which brings to mind, taking the minovsky craft from the A-type and mounting it as equipment for the U type would have been a nice idea, the minovsky craft helping the entire system by providing levitation and essentially canceling out its weight would help explain how the U-type can reach orbit with such a small rocket booster and limited fuel.
>>23472505>t would help explain how the U-type can reach orbit with such a small rocket booster and limited fuel.It doesn't need to explain shit. Every single F90 pack now is a reference. The Crossbones slonr are now just an assembly of like 4 to 5 packs into one MS, and then they go and use a rocket booster just like F90U does too. It's fairly circlejerky.
>>23472505The Nightraid's Mobile Machine mentions all these tactics, which helps explain why they sortied out in F90FF in space as an Anaheim killteam. As for the U Pack, I just figure future materials and fuels handle that, it's enough to send F90 into space and that's all it needs to do.
>>23472212Huh, didn't think people would care for the Hodgepodge Hazel, but I'm happy to be proven otherwise.Fair point on the Xeku too, it's a kinda strange mix of shapes. I like it myself but I'm not married to the concept either. Don't have enough shield boosters to commit to it anyway. God what I wouldn't give for a bootleg bundle of like 10 shield boosters. Also since people expressed their love for Gatling Smashers yesterday have the objectively perfect Messala loadout.
>>23472555I like the hezel because the shoulder mounted ammo drum is an amazing addon that goes well with anything. It's also giving me a bit of Gundam Heavyarms, especially the MG with the back ammo drum. One of Katoki's best deisgns. >Love for gatling smashersI don't think "love" is the word you're looking for friend. That pose is stick though. Imagine striking that pose will ordering a swarm of funnels to advance. Actually, what if we took a Messala and replaced the huge back boosters with funnel hives?
>>23472564Dead ass never knew the MG Heavyarms has that, kinda neat. Referencing Katoki is definitely on point here as well. I'd like to figure out a less cumbersome and clunky way of attaching it (there's a whole Build Mk-II backpack in there. I love it, but this isn't the best usage of it I think) but it's a start at least.>I don't think "love" is the word you're looking for friend.Whatever could you possibly mean? Clearly people adore them here!Messala with funnels is a hell of a concept though I've no idea how they could look. Maybe referencing Tytania's shoulders which store 10 funnels each?
>>23472626Now that I think about it, are there any funnel-equipped Titans MS? There's Psyco's reflector bits, but past that bothing. Rhen again, during Gryps dunnela were more or less just Qubeley's thing.
>>23472804Only a handful, and none of them are as refined as Axis's funnels.
>>23472804There are some remote weapons, but proper funnels were entirely a NZ thing at that point in the timeline and a huge surprise when the Qubeley actually deployed them to everyone.
>>23472808>>23472809Yep, the ones used by the titans were more like wire guided bits and/or incom units
>>23472804Not funnels, but there's the Psycho Mark IV reflector plates. The Prototype Psycho and Mass Production Psycho Gundams both have wire-guided arms that are psycommu-controlled.
>>23472817or like the the funnel here, which is a full blown wireless remote weapon but also fucking BIG compared to Qubeley's>>23472822G-Door's are a bit of a special case since they were made post-war by a remnant group after Char fed them Psycommu data for them to experiment with
>>23472825why would Char leak that to Titans remnants of all people? is Fukui smoking crack again
>>23472854The entirety of Moon Gundam is pointless CCA prequel-nonsense
>>23472854Titans, remnants or not, had plenty of experience, know-how and still some resources for working with NT projects. From development based on provided data to prototype production and testing. Or, at least, they had more resources than Char's nascent Neo Zeon could spare. Plus, they were entirely disposable once they've done their job.

More streamlined way ot mounting the ammo for Xeku MG, yet somehow inelegant. In practice it's no different from how TR Barzam's backpack latch can equip so much stuff on bellows frame, so maybe it's just a matter of finding the exact right proportions. Or bigger backpacks just appeal to me more after all.On another note, assuming the schedule keeps we're going to get the next illustration soon. The patreon thing is more recent from the last couple of years. I mean I have zero fucking idea how much money he's pulling in, but on a donation basis he was probably getting fucking peanuts. Money is a strong motivator, so when the bucks started rolling in, the translations also started coming out more regularly.
>>23482305Still doubt that's the case. Yes admitted to sitting on half finished shit for decades so there's that too. At least we're getting better quality shit though. So maybe it is money
>>23481796He is a genuine fan. Even if he has the personality of sandpaper a lot of the stuff he posts is random interviews and ancient mook exceprts, stuff that people wouldn't even know about otherwise. I can understand being a dick too, Gundam fans do that to you. Throwing fits over people taking manga he hasn't updated in months and months is just fucking silly though, no arguments there. And for what it's worth there is a handful of other translators and groups, Crossbone Scanguard is doing our Black Rabbit for example.
>>23482991I've seen no fits from him. Sandpaper though? Seems fine on discord when talking. But I can understand when someone just shits out a google translate like Crossbone Scansguard does for the sake of completing a title. There is no one other than Trafalgar (but even his seems deeply at times because I've read stuff before he put out that's exactly the same phrasing). Google slop just makes no sense. I really want to read the Haman manga but even my basic understanding can tell you the "translator" is fucking it up royally. The entire bowling part missed their trademark line puns. Then again, not like viz or vertical listens to license requests. So we get shit all around

Childhood is thinking how the Titans didn't win if they had the TTT machines in their back pocket.Adulthood is realizing nothing could turn the tide of the war after Dakar.
>>23483885True maturity is understanding Kamille would have murderfucked it anyway.Like how Zeon deployed a giantic mobile armor immune to beam fire and with like 40 cannons of its own but then Amuro wrecked it. Same with other mobile armors implementing cutting edge technology that was thought impossible merely months ago. Kamille would do the same thing against a Fiver II or Queenly
>>23483891True. Honestly, I think Kamille could probably also solo the Inle if he went Super Saiyan with the Zeta like he does in the last few episodes.Just look at this silhouette, very susceptible to that mile long beam saber he pulls out of his ass.
>>23483896Yep, my boy would have turned it into scrap. No guarantees he would have been much better off, mind. And that would have left Scirocco alone but that's not much of a positive for Titans.
The only reason Kamille would've stood a chance is because of mobility. Otherwise, everyone else would've been vaporized in the blink of an eye.
>>23483959yeah because it's mobility that made him channel the power of god and anime against Yazan and Papsmear
>>23483962Kamille sucked as a pilot anyway. He couldn't do shit without relying on the spirit realm, so he would've been swatted so fast.

Y'know it's interesting how even after the Titans became taboo after the Gryps War, the Federation still couldn't let go of their aesthetic.ReZel, Banshee, Gustav Karl, F90 Unit 2 to name a few.
>>23484003Titans don't have a monopoly on the color blue anymore than Char does on red. Kinda bizarre choice of examples when Anksha and the General Revil are right there, nevermind goddamn Gryps II
>>23484015How many Feddie suits are red though? Only the Marasai AFAIK. Federation still parades around in that dark blue-ish colors though. At least for the Gustav Karl I'm sure it's supposed to remind everyone of the Titans.
>>23484027I'm just not seeing it to be honest, Titans blue is much darker - there's a reason Zeta EP 1 is titled The Black Gundam. F90-2 is especially a stretch since that's purple and white, explicitly for bright visibility and high contrast with F90-1 during testing.
>>23484051Well shiet alright then. Still:>ReZELLondo Bell are essentially Titans-lite with a lot more oversight.>BansheeEvil Gundam. It's the black Unicorn. >>23484159Honestly, fair points all around, I can see the argument. There's something to be said about dressing up Zeta's progeny in the Blue, and it's very in character for the Federation.

>>23471726>>23472419Some T3 engineers made it over to SNRI, right? I'm building the MG F80 and might give it some hazel parts
>>23486746Yep, we know some people involved in the TR Plan eventually worked on projects like BR-GM C2 and the F80, and no doubt others too.F90 in general is partially a spiritual successor, and F80 is its simplified version that even has bunny ears to boot.
>>23472453>Still rather bulky and very heavy due to the propellantYeah about that. How does having propellant tanks attached to the arms and legs make any sense? How does that fuel travel up the MS towards the backpack?
>>23486756Through the body, how else? Somewhat inelegant and definitely not as optimal as having all the fuel stored near the backpack, but F90's empty weight is like 8 tons and this is 46 tons of propellant slapped on top, you gotta spread the load.
>>23486810It's just kinda weird how it travels up the joints, y'know? I can buy it in something like Battletech, but in Gundam, especially something that's meant to be agile like the F90, it's just kinda weird.
>>23486835yeah that's fair, I like it myself but I understand why some people wouldn't
>>23486752>>23486746These feed more into my belief of an eventual Hazel III having hard points for its expansion packs instead of a "Core Gundam" type system
got a pale rider cavalry, very haphazard assembly onto the Hazelsuffice to say the leg boosters do NOT fit well with Quel legs, even without the extra distance due to the pegs the shape will never, ever fit in the way it does on Kelderek Owsla. Which is fine, just means I'll probably go with the G-Line Standard boosters in the end - I'm pretty sure these ARE meant to be slightly movable so it's alright if they don't fit the leg shape perfectly. But the important parts are beam javelin and shekinah, these are very cool. Also the arm beam guns should fit in quite well with only slight modification, something to consider.I'd like to try it with Palace Athene's weapons too, just gotta fish my kit out of storage.>>23486387what the hell

>>23484192Alright, let's try this again:>ReZELLondo Bell are meant to be the first line of response towards possible Spacenoid aggression. That was what the Titans were meant to do, but they were given too much power. Hence, the ReZEL has a Titans blue-esque color scheme. You could say it doesn't quite match the shade, but come on.>Gustav KarlFederation rounds up illegals and kicks them back into space. Oppressive. Like the Titans. But this time the government isn't exactly delegating this stuff.
>>23487391Londo Bell is almost entirely formerly AEUG/Karaba members and the ReZEL's scheme just isn't the Titans scheme. The extremely dark Titans blue is easily read as "black," the ReZEL is immediately distinctly teal (or generally cyan hued) to match with the brighter greener Jegans. The Gustav Karl has even less black in the design and is even brighter blue, and isn't even some dedicated Manhunter machine - we see the Manhunter Jegan, this is the direct face of oppression.
>>23486756>>23486835In UC, the rockets are nuclear thermal rockets. The reactor's heat is used to produce thrust from propellant. There's a theory that the propellant also acts as coolant, and could generally be used to transfer energy around the body.https://www.gundamunofficial.com/power.htmlImagine a mobile suit having a circulatory system like a person has blood flowing throughout the body. Coolant, propellant, and energy transfer runs throughout the body because you need to transfer energy to the arms to power beam weapons, and also to the legs and backpack because most of the thrusters are there. There's also plenty of odd MS with thrusters on the arms or beam weapons on the legs and backpack, and plenty of mobile suits are described as having multiple reactors or powerplants. In any case, you need to circulate energy and heat around all over the body, and you need to dump excess heat. In a perfect system that's efficient as possible and takes up the least space, use one fluid for all three. So it doesn't matter if a propellant tank is mounted on the arm, it's still connected to the overall circulatory system and will eventually make it to a thruster nozzle and get vented as thrust.
>>23487417People joke that it's wearing thigh highs, but I think it's cool that it's painted that way to denote the thrusters being unarmed

>>23487417That's what I mean though. The shade isn't as dark as a Titans blue, but it does harken back to the idea. Londo Bell being staffed by people who were affiliated with the AEUG doesn't really change their purpose, which is to contain Spacenoid aggression. As for the Gustav Karl, I think it's not as clear cut as you say it is. In the movie they open fire on a city full of civilians just to make sure Mafty doesn't get away with killing more Federation politicians. This should be more evident in the second movie where the Kimberly Unit takes part in a pretty brutal massacre of Mafty members at Oenbelli. The footage of which becomes a plot point to show the sheer brutality of Federation forces on their mission against Mafty. Also features Lane in the Penelope sinking Mafty's ship, which is staffed mostly with non-combatants. By the time of HF the Federation government as a whole has climbed quite a few steps in the opppression ladder.
>>23490113I wouldn't even say they got more oppressive, they just stopped being interrupted by constant Zeek insurgencies which demanded some attention and also made them look better in comparison. With that out of the way for the most part, they can get back to what they wanted to do all along.Remember that African insurgency forces had zero issues allying and cooperating with Zeon due to their mutual hatred of the Federation. Zeeks dropped a colony to start things off and the Feddies were STILL worse for them.
Man, I don't know. I just feel like blue is a common color for the Federation, not some kind of secret colour-coding context for aggression. I don't think New Desides painted their Xekus and Gundam Mark V lighter brighter blue because they're specifically intended to be a Titans-lite reference. You might as well say Titans Hizacks were coded green because the Titans were intentionally homage to Zeon and Feddy Hizacks were blue because... they mixed up deliveries of Hizacks to the Titans and Feds and never bothered to fix it?
>>23490188I think feddie Hizack being blue and Titans being green is one of those long running franchise mysterieslike what does GM officially even stand forthere are feddie Zakus in 0083 and they are painted fucking white of all things
>>23490215>like what does GM officially even stand forGnome Made. The Federation REALLY doesn't want this getting out.
>>23490215I always figured Titan Hizacks being green is for the psychological effect since they're the ones most likely to go out and fight Zeek remnants. Seeing Zakus (but better in every way) killing your friends is gonna fuck you up when these were the symbol of standing up to the Federation.Meanwhile blue Hizacks are the opposite - avoiding mistaking for Zakus whether by personnel or automatic detection systems. Titans are supposed to be elite so they can work around this issue but regular forces don't need to have things more complicated for negligible benefit in their case. But this is just my speculation, I don't think there's any official word. And the white Zakus and Gelgoog just seem like yoinking the typical color scheme seen on ground-use GM Type Cs as well.
>>23490215>there are feddie Zakus in 0083 and they are painted fucking white of all thingsFor a time the EFF sorta standardized all MS colors for the EF ground forces as tan and navy blue. It started being a thing in 0083, was suspended during the time of the Titans, but continues being a thing by the time of Unicorn, although it's not the only colors in use anymore for ground forces.

>>23489744Interestin that Athwne's gun has what would be a recil spring on a real gun. Is it a second barrel here?
>>23491855NTA but the short barrel on the Palace Athene's arm weapon is meant to be a grenade launcher.
>>23491886more specifically, it's supposed to use the same type as Messala's grenade launcher so it's actually remarkably practical for Scirocco machine
>>23491886>>23492013Scirocco really packed every single gun he could onto this thing, didn't he? I'd love to learn the context behind picrel
>>23492340>Scirocco really packed every single gun he could onto this thing, didn't he?It is like a crude 4th gen suit before they became commonplace a few months later, pretty on point for Scirocco. It's also the equivalent to Guncannon in his fucked up OC donut still version of Operation V trio doctrine so it's only to be expected it's carrying a squadron's worth of firepower.>I'd love to learn the context behind picrelIt's from Project File Z Gundam, a mook written as an in-universe study of the Gryps Conflict and machines deployed in it. Mostly known for the MS illustrations, a few of which have new loadouts like this one. There was a Hazel cameo too!I never gave it a full read but I don't think there's anything written about the weapons, they're just there to look pretty. I like to imagine Palace Athene's is related to long beam launchers like Hizack Custom's or G04's. Still wondering how exactly that power pack works too. Would be cool to see a Hazel carrying it not gonna lie.
>>23492340Love that rifle, and the rifle the Qubeley has in this book is great too.
>>23492571This has always been my favorite Qubeley design. Otherwise it just looks unarmed since it has two empty hands. I know it's got wrist beam guns, but then are the hands entirely decorative?
>>23492575the hands are for grabbing beam sabers plus general utility
>>23492575MG kit manual suggests there's a certain sense of pride in not needing any other armaments besides the sabers/guns and psycommu. Furthermore it indicates the fingers themselves are equipped with psycho-antennas that are intended for more precise control and limiting interference from outside of the Psycommu system. In other words, in addition to thought the funnels are also directed by physically pointing with the hands.
>>23492597Oh, this makes some level of sense
>>23492526>It is like a crude 4th gen suitIt has psycommu?
>>23493232that's why I said crude since instead of being an all around dummy high spec suit with dummy big reactor output for dummy big guns it's a silly big suit with silly big firepower but silly slow and no psycommu
>>23493235It's slow? I mean it's no Hambrabi or Messala but it doesn't look slow
>>23493248It's explicitly described as cumbersome and lacking in maneuverability and close combat ability due to the large frame that has to accommodate all the weapons. Incidentally, apparently there's a theory it might have been intended to be equipped with Psycommu (though it didn't pan out) so it's even closer to 4th Gen suits, just flawed. Really Reccoa deserves credit for making it work as well as she did.
>>23493235it's not crude, it completely lacks psycommu so it's automatically disqualified from being 4th gen
>>23493265>LIKE a crude 4th genwe get it you're autistic, we all are but damn it you can at least read properly too
>>23493253It's not flawed, it's just specialized to work with The O and Bolinoak as a team. It's an excellent machine.
>>23493326Bolinoak doesn't reaññy have a place in the battlefield
>>23493326They're all flawed because Scirocco has fuck all strategic thinking. He can make one-off suits that are individually absurdly impressive, but they have zero potential for further scaling and wider use. Oh, he'll also wind up with less expendable pawns- I mean dedicated pilots than suits so Messala sits out the final fight. The O is an absolute juggernaut of a suit while still being very fast, in many ways it's a new take on the classic role of the Gundam on White Base as a no-nonsense close combat-focused suit. The subarms and biosensor are just there to further enhance core performance. But it's very much so a suit for Scirocco and can never be anything beyond that, not to mention it's a maintenance nightmare. Even the beam rifle uses proprietary, one-of-a-kind E-Pacs to tickle his dickle better with absolute optimal specs, damn the supply.Palace Athene works fine and dandy if it's purely a mid-range support suit, it's essentially a Guncannon on steroids. Problem is that part of the doctrine involves going off on its own to take out ships, in other words the perfect chance for it to get intercepted and put in the exact situation it struggles with. Also the beam cannons on the back of the shoulders are weird, the backpack completely obstructs them.Bolinoak Samahn is conceptually fantastic, a long-range support suit like Guntank doesn't work so well in Gryps Conflict era combat, especially in a trio squadron. But replacing that with an EWAC support unit is another matter. Something that can gather and transfer information from the battlefield directly while having the means for self-defense ought to be much more effective than a conventional EWAC machine that strongly prefers maintaining distance from combat. But in practice it didn't get to achieve much because Scirocco is a dumbass and squandered the potential.>cont
>>23493358>cont'dThey all work great on paper and their weaknesses can be counteracted, but that requires good planning and command. Something Scirocco lacked despite thinking otherwise. Hence his little team falls apart basically immediately - if they were more independent and less specialized it would have worked much better. Or if they were better organized. There's a reason Crossbone Vanguard employs a similar doctrine years later with their own suits.
>>23492340That rifle looks amazing. Is this the only image we have of it?
>>23493358Bolinoak makes no sense as a MS period, it's woefuñly unferpowered for any real combat, ewac isnt a thing when opersting at combat density of minovsky particles, so it gets to be either a bad combat ms or a more expensive ewsc ms with the same capabilities. The only "special" thing it does is having a computer so powerful it can hack real good, but that requires a phhysical connecton and lots of time, so you're never doing it in combat. And out of combat a guywith a laptop accomplishes the same function
>>23493390wrong
>>23493358Couldn't he have given the Messala to some random mook? Or even Yazan?
>>23493415He would need to trust that mook to be absolutely loyal to the death to him, otherwise his toy is more precious in a hangar.
>>23493355Bolinoak is an EWAC unit. Yes it does.>>23493358There's a lot of claims here that make zero sense and apply to far more MS than Scirocco's own. The O isn't a nightmare of maintenance anymore than, I don't know, the Zeta would be. It's a fairly straightforward design. You really gonna call out proprietary e-pacs? The Titans were fielding multiple e-pac designs in the first place, and Scirocco's personalized units were just that - personalized. He had the manufacturing to produce their parts and wasn't reliant on broader logistics chains. He made two designs for the broader Titans military, one being an insanely high performance machine and the other a simplified version explicitly for ease of maintenance. Palace isn't intended to go off alone anymore than anything else is. Why do you think Bolinoak invested in sensors to the expense of everything else? Why do you think The O is a linebacker? They support the PA, and it supports them. They synergize. As for Bolinoak all machines with ridiculous sensor suits and serious electronic warfare capabilities make compromises in weaponry. It's still competitive with most contemporary MS in armament. >>23493359>There's a reason Crossbone Vanguard employs a similar doctrine years later with their own suits.Because the... MS design concepts are good?>>23493390That's also not true and there are varying levels of minovsky density. The Bolinoak has an array of sensors AND counter-electronics to reduce its presence. It utilizes laser transmission to send realtime information updates to the other two MS in the squadron as well as the mothership. Being highly mobile, packing sensors shielded enough to work in high particle environments AND counter-electronics left it with little room for extra weapons, but it still manages to outgun most EWACs anyways despite being also more capable than them.
Quite honestly trying to say his designs were entirely impractical simply because he designed a bunch of ferraris for his personal use instead of honda civics is a wild take. He had the means to produce high spec cutting edge MS without the worry of logistics, so he did. The dude came up with every actually good transforming design the Titans ever had on their side, and he made his first one with a movable frame on his fucking own at Jupiter before the Mark II is even captured by the AEUG. The Titans asked him to make a suit for them and he put out the fucking Gabthley, a high maintenance but insanely high performance marvel that the TTT marveled at. He did this shit on his own, not with a bunch of Zeon engineers held at gunpoint and a dozen different design bureaus collaborating with each other with blank checks.
>>23493469>without the worry of logisticsNo such thing. Period.Nearly everything else is factually incorrect too.
>>23493478Absolutely such a thing. He had a 2km factory ship and all of half a dozen people to worry about. For his situation, he had the means to supply everything he needed.
