The stage where you get the upgraded Aerial feels so weird. Mazinkaiser is a bit strange in this game. Turbo Smasher Punch is the weakest attack and has a fairly limited range. Instead, they've beefed up the Photon Beam. Abd yeah, this bothers a bit me because I love the Turbo Smasher animation, but on defense, you find yourself using the Photon Beam more often. I would also have preferred if the combined attack had been Double Burning Fire. They just had to change the last part. Still love X Kaiser

So you can probably waive prior requirements by getting enough kills for Domon. Also, you only need the first fight against VXT bosses + Caruleum fight to recruit him and get the trophy.
