E-101 until Omega, was too complex for the standard use of putting brainwashed critters in them, Omega developed common sense and began hating him, same with Metal sonic who goes rogue and cares solely about being better than sonic. Emerl from Sonic Advance 3 went beserk because too much Chaos emerald power. The only time he has success with AI was like the eggbots from Heroes and forward.
