>>23518561Correct. Fail the mission if you want it.
This is so fucking annoying.Turns out a mod I used like 20 hours ago (so no chance of save rollback) added this sidequest to my missions list. And it won't go away even with the mod removed. And it seems to be a placeholder mission that got disabled at some point after being used at some kind of show because if you pick it up, interacting with the Access point or warping out of the base plays a cutscene every time, it can't be abandoned, and objective only has a marker at the location, there's no way to continue/complete it.
>>23518447Sick as fuck, 10/10. I have zero criticism for this one. If I was a clanker I'd be jerking off right now.>>23518471Looks like it'd be used in promotional material. Not bad by any means but not exciting, 7/10.>>23518483OW THE EDGE, but I like edge so that's a point for you. However I must take that point away because it also looks a bit too top heavy for those legs, everything else is cool though so 8/10. Fix the legs to go to 9/10, make the paint a little more interesting to push to 10.>>23518493Another 10/10, fantastic paintwork. Great choice in fashion, just a great arsenal.>>23518538Very regal, but I like asymmetry a lot in this game since it allows for mixing arms which is rare in the genre. Also seems like it might be trying a little too hard. I'll give it a 7/10, it's not bad by any means just not my fav.>>23518562Looks like something out of a mecha anime. Can you paint your arsenal in camo? Make a camo with custom color scheme?
>>23518599No, there are camouflage schemes and many others but they are all pre-made. You can't make it custom.
>>23518580>it also looks a bit too top heavy>Fix the legsThe legs stay. The guy's soul isn't weighted down by gravity ~90% of the time. Wherever it is that he's going, the legs are almost a vestigial organ and I really like long, slender, rj/digitigrade legs with nonstandard feet (or none at all) on my robottos. The frame actually looks not half bad with the wings out.A side note, I actually really like the (jap) voice for the main character, kind of nails the vibe I'm going for most of the time.

>>23518595Cheers.
What's the deal with picrel? Mods? Will I fuck myself over somehow if I go for the missions with this warning?
>>23518635It means that you won't be able to complete other missions or sidequests until you complete that one, it's fairly innocuous warning for what is essentially a lore mission.
We get plamos faster than AC it seems
>>23518661Which ones, I wonder.
Where do the bazooka arms drop?
>>23517823Compared to the first game, Titanic Scion has several more rough edge "did it stop us from clearing compliance? No? Then fuck off we're shipping it" bugs.
>>23518447I like the bulky look of the revenge set
>>23518594Alternating colors was from an earlier setup I had near the beginning, kept aspects of it as I adjusted things though I am addicted to the rabbit torso. I like it more than the booba armor, personally. The cloth sleeve I chose after realizing it'd match with the cloth legs visible between the rabbit torso and the greaves. The thing I'm happiest with is the headpiece, since I turned the bahamut's lights pitch black then made a mono-eye decal. I had to custom make the shape out of like 7 different decals since the gold, white, and visor are all one decal zone so a regular circle would be on the gold section too>>23518626Considering it's a lightweight setup underneath the transmog, that works. I hop around with a charge laser a lot, with a sword/beam saber + a rifle as backup and a missile launcher to top things off

>>23519769The auto-shield is completely overtuned. I thought it would block some shots and help melee builds not get gibbed by boss' projectiles, but it blocks EVERYTHING super fast. It's too busted.

>>23519742>>23519785I'm going to add that you mine only in the mountain areas. You get Memory expansions I-III in one rare node alone, x2 if you get one of those rare module++ for mining. Common, non glittering mining nodes has a low chance to drop a memory expansion of I through III.

They aren't even finished with this one, with planned content updates coming until december at the very least and they're already talking about the next one? Also, how do the Arsenals from the first game count as "armor" but not as "mecha" in this context?
>>23520263https://www.famitsu.com/article/202509/50032They say they have plans for it if this one does well enough. They don't explain how the original arsenal are "large armor" but I guess it's because they're not that big and they move like people due to the neural link. No idea what "mecha" would mean aside from maybe even bigger robots like that mission in 1 where you control a Rebellion
Cybel alpha spawning mooks threw me off guard...
>>23520292>Cybel alphaThat exists? The normal one is such a damage sponge.
where are all these "sins" weapons, like the mace and shit that are unique gold onesi only found the mace and homing missiles
>>23520274>that mission in 1 where you control a RebellionThat Rebellion controlled like ass. Sure hope they won't do a full 180 into a Battletech territory, with glorified turrets blazing at glacial speeds. I rather enjoy how Arsenals move.
>>23520387That mission was so unpleasant that I wound up quitting every time I tried it and I've never finished it. Who thought the move for the big power fantasy you-play-as-the-boss sidemission was to have you play as a lumbering retard trying to swat a thousand mosquitos?
>>23520387Considering how clearly fond they are of shitty gimmicks given all the pointless shit they put in the second game, I dread to think how much budget they'd keep wasting on a third game.
>>23520343Just special weapons to find. They're all utter trash, they just exist to collect.
>>23520410I've cleared it with the sub-mission twice now and the trick was to just spam the big AoE shockwave when most of the enemies would be hit by it. You didn't want to let them get too close or else they might fly too high for it to hit and then your only option that could reach them was dashing away to use missiles. Don't know why they even bothered giving it the sword slash move when "kill everything on-screen" is an option.
>>23520422I have no idea why not only do they want that shitty diablo system with variable stats but also insist on strictly tiered itemization meaning 90% of the weapons are trash AND they don't let us eiher recolor them or swap skins.
>>23520443Xenoblade
>>23519889Actually it legs weapons like 2h swords commit to more dangerous attacks without fear of reprisal. Devotion works well on stagger 3 builds because you can start hyper trading.Only auto-dodge is kind of ass and even that still has a use case of bailing you out

>>23520815>Just two more yearsAnon, there were SIX years between DxM1 and 2.
If they were going to keep the quote unquote Heavy Armor involvement so minimal, they should've let the player have one nameable frame with multiple loadouts (at least just like they are now, melee/short range, balanced, long range) with a bunch of cosmetic skins. And the unlimited Heavy Armor mod is a must at this point.>>23520819Shh.
Is there any mention what the forest area megalythic stone age architecture is supposed to be? Was there an ancient native civilization (perhaps wiped out by the colonists) or were these built by the colonists for some reason and it's been so long since then that they may as well be ancient anyway? Or were these put in the game because they look cool and that's the extent of thought put into it?

Not great or even all that fun, just fine, doable, not infuriating, especially using wings for that extra push.It was some while since I indulged in gamer's rage so intimately as in that one bike race where you get another bike, which I haven't used once since I haven't used bike any other time before and after then. Who thought that adding regular vehicles (mecha should be the only vehicle you'd ever need in a mecha game) a good idea of an addition to what was supposed to (well, apparently not, I guess) be a mecha game? Not cool idea, mind (You), a good or reasonable, or even a servicable one? At least with the horse I could pretend to have a good time, given how alright it handled. But motorized land based vehicles? Why ride or drive when you can fly (or even better, pilot)?
>>23521031They're better when you're a heavy.
Kick seems like a really shitty skill until you invest into it and find out it's effectively a throw and then becomes super fun to punt things into walls, celilings or onto other things and make them explode.Only problem is that you need to have the best lightweight legs in the game and so much jumping multipliers a single jump turns you into a rocket. Also when you wallsplat things the damage is apparently multiplied by the target's weight so heavier enemies that can be punted like Kindunos take considerable damage from Kick.>>23520909There's a ruin with a massive slab with three round circles which I suppose it's tied to the Trinitas and seems to lead somewhere, I think it's something the expansion will be about honestly. The ruins might be from some native civilization of the blue planet rather than the colonists, seem way too old to be just a couple of centuries old.
The forest area is legitimately great. Shame the mountains aren't as good.
>>23521031The car lets you bring friends along with you and ram into enemies or use the turret, the bike transforms into a gun, and the horse lets you use your arsenal's gear while riding to an extent. They've technically all got different use cases, it just so happens that 2/3 vehicles are made of styrofoam. There are lots of complaints about it on the JP side so I'm hoping they fix it at some point
>>23521040I've been using it with one of the early high jump legs and it still feels pretty good. Same use cases as a mace but without all the windup or the need for a heavyweight build. 1-shots the early dogs if you knock them into something and can let you start a chain of staggers and throws like that if you aim it well
>>23521049>The forest area is legitimately great. It really is the best one but then again, both forest and mountains are already great by themselves, putting them together can only result in a winning combination. Although all those open tent campgrounds in visible distance from rogue immortals do make me question the merits of Ubisoft open world design.
>>23521032our weight impacts their weight? I had no clueI'm assuming it's like the other stuff and calculates via stagger level right? That'd be pretty huge if that's the case. >>23521066It does help they sprinkled some dynamic events like UEC convoys or random Reclaimer skirmishes on top of random boss spawns so the world does feel a bit lived in even outside of the basic map design.I think this idea of DeS style separate open levels is pretty good honestly, it just needs more dynamic stuff.

lmao. I finally got themThat's a fourth leg permutationI'm hoping that it's following the three rule and might just be linked to having a shell waistOtherwise I don't even know where to fucking begin with getting this permutation all over a characters body.If it's just linked to having a shell waist that'll be less work. But if full shell gives you the reverse joint legs as normal I'm completely fucked.>>23511015We're almost there, anon.
>>23521231There's a reddit post with all the supposed mutations (other than the full shell head), but it only has three legs types. >>23521644There's a split route at the very end where you have to choose between fighting Gaze or Legion, if you fight one of them the other just fucks off somewhere I guess, you can fight her in the story simulator once you beat the game though. The real mystery is where the fuck does Angel go after the end since even her arsenal disappears from the base.Guess the expansion will be about that, maybe.

I finally have an Arsenal load-out worthy of a name
>>23511774>All there is is just a single chest with Nerve's helmet (unless RNGesus decides which part of his armor you get), nothing you couldn't grind out to drop in the replay terminal (which I already have).Lame. His last message kind of warmed me to him though.
>>23521703>worthy of a nameArse-anal?
>>23521718haven't thought of one yet. Also I'm probably going to replace soryu with a regular blade. Tachi's getting dunked on by heavy armor is starting to bug me.
What are the best weapons to take for Zeruchroar? Bazookas don't work as well as in the first game. I also tried charge lasers but I am hardly doing any damage.
>>23521723break the ass or head and shoot the weak bits with two triple stars at crit range. The boss should be dead, at the most, third stagger
>>23521723I molest his ass with twin Redstarts and after his anus is fully defenseless I unload my Empusa into it.Or you can go ungabunga whenever he does his laser version of spray and pray
Grinding Bullet fights to fill out her drop list, what's the trick to getting around her auto shield? Is it direction based, or do I just have to overwhelm her?
>>23521756direction basedI don't know if a lance would pierce through though
>>23521756Limit Change+Combo Thrust+JàrngreiprThis works on anyone that isn't Legion by the way, they can't do anything against getting skullfucked like that, though killing Void by throwing explosive crates is even faster.

I take it Gladius is the best for tank builds?
Man, this is one of those games where I completely zone out the plot (game is fun tho)
>>23521779You had trouble? I admit I did at first. But then I just pummeled his left hind leg after getting rid of the armor. Easiest punch all day weak point, and it lets you see his wind ups.
Is there any purpose on sparing the Neun guys?
>>23522131You should spare Yaiba sine it opens up a missable questline with him that gives you good rewards
>>23521802Think it's the only super heavyweight setHaven't really tried to go girth max though>>23521924I shoot his throat with dual triple starsPistols are really spoiling me.
Are laser rifles kinda bad? Feels like they do no damage compared to my sword. Tried the new rifle from the event boss and although it deals damage fast, it also deals very little damage so I just burn through all it´s ammo really fast and end up dealing about the same damage a basic blue laser rifle would do, just arguably faster.
Anyone knows where I can get the XIV skeleton factor?
>>23522165The key to making laser weapons fuck shit up is to capitalize on the femto boost. If you ignore this, they are going to be ass. Also be sure you're not shooting it at something laser resistant for your tests. Also, use them at further range. Laser rifles are designed with high bullet velocity in mind and insane range to make up for their lack of crit range. If you're using it as a CQC weapon and trying to compare it to other CQC weapons, yeah it's gonna suck because you aren't making use of its strengths.
>>23522169Dreadnought Alpha and Lapis Lacrima Alpha drop them
>>23522196Any idea where to find then?
>>23522194Even with the faster projectiles it still misses a lot. I have over 200 aim support and still, moving enemies barely get hit unless I´m right next to then
>>23522217Dunno man in general bullet weapons are better anyway because flinch is so absurdly important in this game and they can crit. This being said, laser melee weapons are better than physical ones since they have the femto boost, flinch chance, and ability to crit.
>>23522165All energy weapons scale with your Femto gauge.See those red markers? They indicate the threshold for your damage, the lower your femto gets the lower your energy weapons hit.>>23522228it's a bit more complex than that.Solid ammo is better than energy for general use because more flinch=your grabs>throws>crits which deal massive damage to any human or immortal mook.Bosses are a different matter unless we're talking about some maxed out endgame solid ammo weapons at which point the balance goes out of the window entirely. To be perfectly fair there's only a select couple of bosses on Hard that actually forces you to understand how to build your offense, those being Cybele Beta, Dreadnought Beta and Eclipse, maybe the Omega bosses will change this though. It's also true that any charge laser cannon that is properly rolled and built up can deal absolutely monstrous amount of damage if the target isn't specifically resistant to energy.
>>23522253I´m never running out of femto. Hell, I even roll with the extra femto tanks. Still, shots usually hit for about 40 damage in a good spot, often around 20 for non weakspot hits. In comparison, a single swing from my sword deals from 200 to 400 damage. I know, it´s close combat vs ranged, but still...those guns could use a bigger punch
>>23522215Lapis Alpha is at Oros Lyssa Gorge in the mountain biome, and Dreadnought Alpha is in the same location as the OG Dreadnought (Aristos Hill)
>>23522265Yep, ngl Assault/Laser rifles don't feel anywhere near strong enough on the basis of time to kill when compared to running melee or rapid fire weapons.I'm hoping Yellow quality ranged weapons feel better.
>>23522265If you're maxing out the correct modifiers and not critting you're not gonna see a whole bunch of damage on ARs, energy isn't any different.Once you get to Weiss Donner/Lohenkrieger you can see some good damage output, but AR are still more about having a rather long effective range and passable ammo per damage ratio than anything. If you want gun DPS you use machineguns, either Redstart or Silver Raven II, Deathscream is also really good if built right and of course, Failnaught and Empusa if you want to outright chunk off parts of a healthbar per shot. One crucial thing a lot of people do not understand is how to use the correct modules though. Some guns scale off Basic damage more than either physical or energy or viceversa, so using the correct module is a must, snipers and anything that focuses on crits might want to focus on crit expansion modules but the Failnaught is something of an exception to that since it has monstrous Basic damage, machineguns are all about getting as much ammo in there as possible, shotguns need the extremely rare Shotgun Shot Count 3 to actually get their DPS up because everything else pretty much does nothing to their DPS since damage is calculated per pellet and as such ALL values are so low no basic damage module is going to matter and so on.
>>23522271All I see in the oros lyssa gorge is a grausam beta. Is there anything I should do for it to spawn?
>>23522283I´m running the indelible wound because it´s the highest scaling with femto, but it´s base damage isn´t great so it might not be worth using it. Though in comparison, TTK isn´t much diffent from the lohenkrieger. It shoots faster but the damage is a lot lower so ends up being kinda similar but eating my ammo reserves faster
>>23522287I´m dumb and was looking in the wrong place, found it already. Thanks anon, you helped me out a big deal
>>23522265the only gun that's got me flim flammed is the rail gun. They suck so much man.And I guess vanish loaAssault Rifles, really just Grim Reaper 2, I take for damage efficiency to bullet ratio. It's the only assault rifle (that I've got at least) that can last every single encounter with no issues. There's not really a laser rifle I favor because I burn Femto nonstop and the fucking guns basically are married to femto correction to be worth a damn.
>>23521723Jarngreipr with limit change and combo thrust, a random gun with healing shot. There are two femto regen thingies in the northwest that you can abuse, both in open world and in console rematch. You'll probably need femto tanks to keep the combo up, since the high memory cost will force you to pick heavy armor which has shit femto capacity.Get a cannon and maybe a bazooka arm to tickle it from afar when he inevitably decides to fuck off on the other side of the arena (or outside of it). You're never going to catch up to him, but on the flip side, whenever he stops to do his laser show you can shave off over a third of his health. It can be a bit time consuming depending on what the AI feels like doing at the time, but it's pretty much impossible to die if you strategically retreat a couple times during the fight.
With weapon arms, is being able to shoot without reloading really worth being locked into a single damage type?
>>23522351There is a laser arm vambrace too
>>23522376I meant not being able to switch damage types on that arm.
>>23522425You can use back weapons of the opposite attribute, it's no big deal, weapon arms have so much ammo you can still bruteforce a lot of shit too, they also cuck Eclipse really hard.

>>23522597How do you use pistols? I see you´re using triple star. How good is it, actually? I tried it once and at the distance for it to be effective I could just be using my melee and doing more damage faster since it shoots very slowly too
>>23522991ideally if you're looking to max deeps you'd use two. Still>how good is it actuallyEh. They do a bit of damage.
>>23522928And he and he allows you literally no time to stand in it. 'Course I only say that because in my case, my suit was a lightweight Auxo with little to no real defense when i beat him..
>>23522759You don't need Limit Charge but it speeds up the process immensely, that's good for rooms that have three or so goyles.>>23522788Bro just shoot his ass, don't tell me you miss the absolutely braindead gameplay of the original, it's almost as braindead here but at least there's more weapons worth using than just bazooka and machinegun arms.
>>23522991Pistols are best as side weapons for when a boss is stunned. They're dogshit against anything that is moving.
>>23522991Triple Star is pretty much a pocket sniper rifle, if you're in the critical range and a boss has a weak spot open it just shreds them completely.Melee is nice in this game don't get me wrong, but people here are largely overrating it, try out some shit, remember that weapon proficiency levels are a thing so you have to actually use the weapons for a while to see some benefits.Shotties for instance are godawful before level 10-13 or so because because they have awful reloading time without manual reload and absurd spread, the more you use a weapon the better it gets.
>>23523023I´m having trouble with the critical range of pistols. It´s so tinny I struggle to get in place. By the time I find the spot the boss is already out of stun. Any way to increase that range?
>>23522759>anything that is movingIt's not that dire. This is all on hard, mind.https://streamable.com/fkaf7vYou could use them from fight start to fight finish on anything that isn't Legion. The incidental crits will stun and everything that follows will kill. It's no limit break Jarngreipr, but it gets the job done.>>23523024Just gotta use them. Honestly, once you're able to consistently get in the crit range of something like a melee weapon you're already more than good enough to enter the crit range of a pistol. It's not like every hit ever has to be on the money, you've got more than enough ammo to kill everythingThem being that strong makes me miffed that railguns suck as much as they do
>>23523024You need to simple grind their weapon levels, there's also a single passive that adds a 7% bonus to all critical ranges. There's also a module for expanding Weapon Proficiency by 7%.

>>23522705>antagonistHe was the main character.
>>23522788If you're fighting the one in the open world you can use supply base cheese. If you're fighting the one in the sim, I believe there's still a femto zone nearby? If you bring guard shift you can literally just stand in it and tank his biggest moves. That gives you a button to deal with the roar too. You can dodge through his claw rushes, at least on a lightweight build, and when he spins you just get up in his face and beat on him. As for DPS, I have no idea. I just bashed my head against the wall with this crappy build for like an hour until he died. Could barely even his his weak points. Definitely waiting until I get better gear before trying to farm the one in the sim.
>guard shiftCompletion status? Unfinished.
Did anyone ever find that elusive Cernunnus head?I'm only seeing it on some wikis but no info on where to actually find it.
>>23522925Should be, I didn't even have the simulator unlocked when I beat it and it showed up in there when it did unlock.
>>23523217The supply base cheese was more egregious, but either way I did not feel like I beat him so I just took a core instead of the cool-sounding shoulder weapon blueprint. I'll do it legit some other day now that he's unlocked.

>EclipseWhat an insipid disco ball. Fully deserving of laser vambrace and hera's grudge cheese.
>>23523298>laser vambraceBZ+MG vambraces work better.
>>23523298To be fair none of the immortal bosses are any good, they're all annoying at best and the DxM1 have been fully copypasted without a single change or new addition other than gunfort and Rebellion having ADHD now and jumping all over the place, Zeruchroar is still a joke too but at least he doesn't die immediately to bazooka spam. The new immortals are mediocre best, Grausam is a joke with two enormous weakpoints, Lapis Lacrima is just a somehow easier Dreadnought with a forced cinematic attack that keeps him alive, Insania has a cool design but it's a dogshit fight that also has a forced cinematic attack that keeps it alive until it's done, Cybele&Magna Mater is an incredibly boring damage sponge and Immortal Void might as well not exist since he just sandbags until he dies.Ironically Soma was an actually decent big boss but is way undertuned and in dire need of more attacks. Wiseman/Osteo was...there, I guess, maybe he'll become an actual boss in the DLC since they teased Chaldia.
>>23523317Oh yeah, there's Centurion too I guess, he's okay-ish in theory but he also sandbags way too much.
How do you consistently land criticals with melee? It seems you always dodge out of crit range.
What do status effects do against enemies? Do they even have stamina or radar?
>>23523322>Oh yeah, there's Centurion too I guess, he's okay-ishI found Centurion to be the easiest boss in the entire game aside from Immortal Void. He doesn't fucking do anything except slowly move towards you and occasionally shoot a laser sword out. He's an actual fucking joke which is real disappointing given how the game hyped him up.
>>23523285They're not for the same thing. Triple Star has nearly quadruple the damage on weakpoints in comparison. It's overall DPS is incomparably higher than Salamander on boss weakpoints.Salamander has a higher fire rate (slightly over double on average) but, more importantly, more ammo. It's way better for enemy arsenals (including human boss fights), smaller immortals, and mooks in general.
>>23523326Not worth using at all. Bring Angel as a sim partner for acid effects as well as free def buffs along with Forge for free loot. Ignore status otherwise.
>>23523293pretty neat
>>23523326Acid decreases defense ratings and does minor damage ticsBurn decreases stamina regen iirc and does minor damage tics, it also allegedly disables Gaze's blood barrier when it's active.Stun does what it says on the tin can.Imo Acid is only mildly worthwhile if you're playing with single shot big hitters since the effect doesn't really last long, luckily caustic blade lets you apply it as much as you want and most things aren't immune to it, but it's still questionable even on Hard because you can just stack too much firepower through modules and rolling A scores for either the correct daamge scaling or ammo size.
>>23523328NTA but I also like Salamander because it pairs real fucking well with Silver Raven II. Their crit ranges line up perfectly and their effective ranges are also very similar. When you can feasibly move into the crit range of the Salamander it makes an excellent murder machine and when you can't because the target is mobile, the SR2 picks up the slack. This combo even melts large immortal bosses. I put Zeruchroar down so fast I honestly can't imagine the runs going any quicker (even though I'm sure they could go slightly quicker).
I played the first game a fair bit at launch but never returned to play any updates. Is it worth buying 2 when I could just dig out the old one?
>>23523340Right, but do enemies have stamina to decrease with burn? Do colossal immortals? What about jamming, is that literally just to sneak up on groups and that one boss gimmick?
>>23523364Don't think so, no.Jamming also doesn't seem to do much of anything on enemies.
>>23523327Isn't that kind of story appropriate with it actually being Nerve the whole time?
>>23523343fair enough
>>23523370I mean sure none of the fights are hard but Centurion being the second easiest boss in the entire game is insane, especially when the easiest one requires you to fight normal Void first without any rest so you could technically argue it's the easiest. The story made up Centurions to be really fucking scary and even if THIS one has a reason not to be, they should've made us fight an actual scary one to make up for it.
There any way to grind the Yaiba copies to get his factor after beating the mission?
>>23523404>The story made up Centurions to be really fucking scaryactually you go through a cutscene before you even fight soma where they explain very plainly that centurion is not even remotely as strong as it could be if they had successfully ripped out your spine and brain.
>>23523417You unlock his fight in the simulator after you beat the game.
>PARTNERS lets you choose whether or not you want npc party members following you in the field>Doesn't allow you to choose which one(s)Oh come on, this can't be that hard to do right.>>23523404Maybe there'll be some free range ones in that one new region in the dlc.>The story made up Centurions to be really fucking scaryMore like the process of producing one is scary, especially if it's made out of (You).
>>23523419...which is kinda bullshit because Nova can't do jackshit the other Neun can like Yaiba's fuckhuge shockwaves, Hex controlling colossal immortals or whatever the fuck Gearworm or Bullet do when they go ungabunga and destroy fucking buildings. At best you get some pale imitations of the other Neun skills, and there's Void being an eldritch mutant as well.
Also I'm still mad we don't get the coattails in our own version of the Centurion set.
>>23523427>Nova can't do jackshit the other Neun can like Yaiba's fuckhuge shockwaves, Hex controlling colossal immortals or whatever the fuck Gearworm or Bullet do when they go ungabunga and destroy fucking buildingsThat's because those members of the Neun aren't human anymore. We unlock similar shit through fusion too. Not as powerful as their's, sure, but Nova's ability lies in the fact that we can learn multiple tricks. Also, we are doing Fusion basically via bootleg. Presumably the other Neun had theirs done in a controlled laboratory environment and were able to get some wacky shit as a result. This being said, their special abilities don't change the fact that Nova is the most capable raw combatant the Neun had. The game states this blatantly. The others just try to bridge the gap with their modifications.
>>23523421You'd think but I didn't is it because I spared him?
>>23523427Ignore fusion, Nova's big gimmick was their combat prowess. The game states that all over the place how fucking skilled a combatant you are. And gameplay wise we're well above the Neun who can only even remotely compete because of various gimmicks that still amount to nothing against Nova.Null is in the middle of his villainous speech and even he can't help himself but to top you off in the middle of his monologue.
>>23523439Check the story section of the simulator, beat him again and kill him, that will unlock the fight in the other section.
>>23523439Replay his battle in the story sim and kill him
>>23523434>>23523442Yeah you get glazed a whole lot in this game but I really don't see it honestly.Especially not from a chump who was struggling to deal with generic UEC bots in the prologue.
>>23523443>>23523445Shit that didn't actually cross my mind thanks. Also side note where the fuck does Eclipse spawn?
>>23523450>but I really don't see it honestlyYes, you do. Based on the fact that you were able to break out of the Garden successfully and absolutely murder the other Neun whenever they stand against you. Nova is also cocky as fuck when interacting with the reclaimers and Neun, someone who couldn't walk the walk like they can wouldn't be talking the talk either.
>>23523362Totally different games. Having played the first one on release and then again right before TC came out, I wouldn't bother going back to it unless you want to fight tougher versions of the bosses. If you're on the fence about TC, there's a free demo out for it that carries over progress to the main game.
>>23523362Comparing DxM1 and 2 is like comparing Armored Core and some sort of Anthem/Xeno/Armored Core hybrid game. They aren't even remotely the same.
>>23523450read the description of any of the three junkbots you're pilotingYou take that, break captivity, cause immeasurable destruction, and successfully ESCAPE all with the "help" of a tulpaAll this from a start with no weapons as a regular ass outer.
>>23523461>all with the "help" of a tulpaI don't know why people keep implying Nerve wasn't there in the opening. He absolutely had to be, do you think we knocked out Savvy and broke OURSELVES out of the tube? Either his "Tulpa" is physically able to interact with the world and visible to more than just Nova or he simply wasn't a Centurion yet.
>>23523471Yeah, it's less of a tulpa and more of a shadow clone.
>>23523479Probably akin to Mirage really.
>>23523471 He's not there in the sense that you mean. They better explain it in the centurion fight where the last flicker of his own sentience makes one last actual attack that does real damage. Just a femto force ghost.
>>23523485I literally mentioned his tulpa could have the ability to interact with the world and be perceived. Next time read my entire post.
>>23523471The game is sort of unclear on the timeline of events but it's possible Nerve got already Centurion'd by the time the game starts, other than that the existence of a centurion fight is kinda puzzling unless this is another Centurion and not the one Nerve got turned into, it's complicated. We know Nerve breaks you out because he doesn't want you to get turned into a Centurion, and the fact that he chooses to sacrifice himself to lock the gate and lets you escape might hint that he was already a tulpa by that time.
>>23523494It's entirely possible he's already a Centurion, that's not my issue. My issue is the fact that there's this weird narrative going around that Nova broke out all by himself which is actually fucking impossible given that he was currently fucking shrink wrapped and stuffed into a test tube and we see Savvy get knocked out before Nerve frees us. Whether he's a tulpa/mirage/whatever isn't the issue, the issue is people are under the impression his tulpa/mirage is just a fucking hallucination basically and that Nova did all that shit solo, which he couldn't have.
So in the end, who was the Titanic Scion?
>>23523513Void, I guess. Given that he's a colossal immortal masquerading as an outer, or at the very least something in-between.

>>23523538Bullet's ass being irresistible is literally canon given she's the Garden favorite rapebait
>>23523487sorry, reading's hard.Anyways the time of events seems pretty obvious given the cutscene you get in the centurion battle. You look at Nerve's centurion'd up body before you're even in containment. He talks to you, assumedly after the fact, about stopping him if he becomes weird. But you're right, they worked together. The main point of any of t his was that Nova has a track record of being a badass even before you lose your memory and you accomplish that escape while piloting a garbage shitbot.
>>23523553>while piloting a garbage shitbotI hate that the Iroas is in canon a shitbot considering how fucking cool it looks, namely the legs. There isn't a single pair of legs in the game I like more.
Where the fuck is this place?
A million Rex fights and Forge has yet to nab a single item. Is this shit working properly?
>>23523569Make sure he's alive at the end. Yes, it's working properly. I found a god roll Jagdflügel thanks to Forge.
>>23523558Thank god for the transmog system, man.A lot of the fashion on some of these parts would fucking hurt without it.
>>23523577>Can transmog and recolour arsenal parts but not weaponsmaybe in a future update........
>>23523577>Thank god for the transmog system, man.>A lot of the fashion on some of these parts would fucking hurt without it.Amen to that brother. I couldn't live without the Explorer chest now that I've used it and if we didn't have transmog, I'd be forced to have an arsenal with huge tits.
>>23523573He's definitely alive, so it's just my dogshit luck then. What a pain.
>>23523605It seems to have something I'd estimate to a 20% chance to trigger, just keep trying.
>>23523324I tried to fine-tune it so a dodge puts me into crit range, but in practice I think you just need to learn the distance for your weapon and get used to it. If you want to go double melee, one trick you can do is to use a weapon with stable critical in one hand to give yourself a more generous crit range and a weapon with high critical in the other hand for damage once you land that crit. As long as you don't finish the first weapon's combo, you can swap to your other hand's weapon and it'll still crit. The cross-slash with both weapons can be done after a weapon's combo finishes and still be a crit too.One interesting thing I found while testing is that knuckles cannot be swapped to from a non-knuckle weapon combo, but they can lead into a non-knuckle weapon combo. So if you're right up in the enemy's face and use a knuckle for the first hit you could then immediately switch to a high-crit weapon for the rest of the combo, but using a knuckle in the middle of a combo will end the combo without critting. This applies to double knuckle combos too; even though you can punch infinitely with double knuckles and never really end that "combo", only the first hit retains the crit status. From the training dummy reeling back, it seems like no other part of that "combo" can crit even if you happen to end up back in critical range during it, so it's not like each hit is the start of a new combo either. Knuckles also can't cross-slash with any weapons besides knuckles, probably due to the charging mechanic. However, you can lengthen the charge of one knuckle by interrupting it with the charge of another knuckle. When using that cross-slash for your first hit, I'm not sure how it decides whether or not you're in crit range. If I try it from further back with a knife + a longer-ranged sword, the knife doesn't crit but the sword does. If I try it from knife range, they both crit. It's not averaging them since there's still a no-crit blind spot in the middle.
>>23523324>>23523720Speaking of knives, those are another option for super close range which, unlike knuckles, can be swapped freely and perform cross slashes with other weapons. Maces are similar to knuckles in that they've only got one hit, but their hit is a combo finisher; it can't start combos, but it can end them and lead into cross-slash.Two-handed swords are an interesting one; they appear to retain the crit status indefinitely which means if you crit you can keep critting forever. You can even use their slow attacks to give you time to swap weapons in your other hand and it'll continue the crit chain if you attack with that other weapon you just swapped in.However, there's a limit to how much swapping you can do and that seems to depend on weapon type. Knife -> 2H sword -> knife doesn't work, but 2H sword -> knife -> 2H sword does. So 2H swords can be used twice in one combo, but other weapons can only be used once. Swapping to a secondary weapon counts as a new weapon to continue the combo with though, even if they're all the same weapon. If you really wanted to and can swap quickly enough, there may be some value to taking 4 of the same melee weapon. I don't know if there's any enemy that'd let you get a full combo chain with all 4 weapons off though. Might be some combo-limiting mechanics like knockdown that I can't test properly in training mode too.I'm not sure if there's a good use case for throwing lances. However, you can pick them up mid-combo and the empty hand counts as a new weapon with super specific crit range. If you're fast enough, you can get a 5-weapon crit combo. That's kind of neat.In any case, I just tested all that so let me know if I missed anything. The most important thing I learned from all this is that they made it a cross slash because of the X in the game title. I'm almost certain of this because I've seen Tsukuda make an X gesture with his arms when saying Daemon X Machina, plus the X-shaped DLC bow
>>23523720>One interesting thing I found while testing is that knuckles cannot be swapped to from a non-knuckle weapon combo, but they can lead into a non-knuckle weapon combo. So if you're right up in the enemy's face and use a knuckle for the first hit you could then immediately switch to a high-crit weapon for the rest of the combo, but using a knuckle in the middle of a combo will end the combo without critting. What's a good weapon to pair with a knuckle for this?
>>23523326>radarProbably not, no game in the history of mankind ever had an AI actually using its radar.>staminaActually possible. Unless it's a simple script forcing him to do so, you can see Legion occasionally retreating to the nearby femto tree. If he does actually need femto for mirage, chances are they also use stamina.
>>23523326>>23523749Enemies do use stamina, at least arsenal ones. If you burn Legion he will start limping way sooner than usual due to lack of stamina. Ones like Gaze though that don't move much probably won't give a shit.
farmed a set for climbing. wish me luck!
>>23523728Anything with the high crit tag, I guess. Two-handed swords are another option if you want to go full combo autism since they can just keep critting and can't cross slash anyway, but the ones I have at least aren't high crit and have a similar crit distance to my knuckles. If you did go that route though, while slashing with the two-handed sword you could swap the knuckle to another weapon with high crit for some burst damage once your attack window is almost over, then swap back to the 2-handed sword. If you're going quadruple melee, then swapping the two-handed sword to another high crit weapon would let you end with a cross slash with the first two-handed weapon. But realistically, it's annoying to manage all that and most combos are not going to go on that long. I'd just pick a high crit weapon with a longer/more specific crit distance than the knuckle has, like maybe a tachi, so you can use that to close longer distances and the knuckle to start the high crit weapon's combo when you're up close. You could do that with pretty much any pair of weapons as long as you remember which one works at which distance.
>>23523723knives technically can serve a smiliar purpose as Two-handed swords to give you time to switch weapons to continue a combo.Knives, Two-handed Swords, and Soryu all have long enough attack windows that even spaghetti fingers can swap in time.Knives and tachi have the fastest cross slash animation. Lance is a close second with it's twin thrust. >>23523773good luck anon
I wish I could make a build with knives as the main dish but the nonexistent damage on weakpoints and the fact that mosst immortal weakpoints tend to pop off at some point makes it really rough.Having only three of them doesn't help either, and the damage scaling of the various weapon techs is beyond bad too.
You can't even get Gearworm's hat laser thing and his armor?
>>23523795You'll get his costume when the paid DLC expansion drops at least, but no hat laser or four arms shenanigans I'm afraid.A shame, but again, I hope the next game will let us become something similar to him if we ever get one.
>>23523793knife really needs a four weapon to rescue it. It had no triple star equivalent so the best knife at weakpoint sniping is still just bad enough to lose out against the Soryu. And speaking of weapons. Holy fucking shit do I want to put a fist in my build instead of Soryu but I can't cope with that cost. But a weapon that can stun heavies is so appealing man.
>>23523728>>23523785>If you're going quadruple melee, then swapping the two-handed sword to another high crit weapon would let you end with a cross slash with the first two-handed weapon.Oh right, you can't swap a weapon that's currently attacking so you'd need to give up the second round of two-handed sword slashing for that and swap during the first high-crit weapon's combo instead. So if you approached using the two-handed sword, then used your high-crit weapon, then went back to the two-handed sword and swapped that high-crit weapon, then swapped the two-handed sword during the high-crit weapon's combo to end with a cross slash then that would work. Also, if you don't want to think about it too much you could just pick a similar crit distance for both weapons and just memorize that.>>23523789Very true, the long combos on knives were useful for testing all this since my reaction speed isn't the best. I don't have Soryu yet, I'm still pretty early in the game. Gonna need to do more testing later if there are weapons with unique movesets
>>23523805Also worth noting that the long combo chain there wouldn't work with a knuckle present since they end the crit chain immediately. So going for long weapon swap combo shenanigans with a knuckle probably isn't the best idea, I'd just keep it simple and pick something with high crit and longer range or a second knuckle to just keep hitting them even if you aren't critting.
>>23523803I think my main issue with knives is that outside of the very low base damage the attack animations are super wonky for something that's supposed to be surgical melee sniping of weak point, trying to hit an immortal's batteries with a full combo is really hard compared to other weapons.Though again, itemization doesn't do them any favor either, other weapon classes have gimmicks like Bullet's axe boosting weapon art damage, the Jarngreipr shooting energy bullets on a full charge or the Fragarach being offbrand MLGS, but knives have fuckall currently. The worst thing is even their niche as a looter weapon is completely stolen by bows, they're just in a very bad spot currently and desperately need either bigger numbers or new items with some sort of gimmicks like specific boosts to some weapon arts like weapon throw.
Anyone know a good spot to farm level 3 shotgun shot count attachments?
>>23523834I wish I could tell you that but your best chance might be an axiom dungeon with a lot of bipedal mechs with shotties, even so level 3 attachments are really rare, only got two of those myself and I never saw them drop from chests either.Maybe somebody else can chime in though.
>>23523837Lame, thanks anon. I've only found three lv2s and it sucks. I was hoping there was a stray on a map prone to holding shotties or something.
>>23523827Wait, how do you guys use bows effectively to loot? I find them unusable, but to be fair the last time I used one was a long time ago. I normally use a Knife with Helm Splitter to last hit, since the damage is boosted by weight so it doesn't wholly depend on the Knife's low dmg.
aside from the current event mission, does zeruch spawn any other way?
>>23523845He has a VERY small chance to spawn in if you attack Gunfort B and fucking murder the shit out of it. Far too low to bank on, but yeah.
>>23523789>Knives and tachi have the fastest cross slash animation. Lance is a close second with it's twin thrust. This is interesting, because it seems like the Lance cross slash actually overrides some of the other cross-slash animations completely. Every weapon seems to have a cross slash speed and the speed of the two weapons is taken into account when doing it somehow, but a cross slash with a lance is always super fast. So if you do like a tachi and a mace, it'll be slow as expected. But if you do a lance and a mace, it'll be super fast. I don't think it's supposed to work like this because you can just keep spamming that for massive damage
>>23523841Bows have the same passive as knives that makes it more likely for enemies to not explode and drop a corpse, given how you have a lot more range they're even better at farming some specific things like the Prometheus which tend to kamikaze when they're near you.Echidna's bow is really solid as a general weapon too.
>>23523851>I don't think it's supposed to work like thisThe game has a LOT of OP oversights right now I expect to be fixed pretty soon. Like I don't think they intended for you to be able to Limit Change + infinite Combo Thrust every boss and trivialize the encounter entirely without exception.
>>2352350[Spoiler] Did you do the post story questline invovling Gazes Journal? One of the spots leads to what seems to be a room for replicating immortal husks into becoming 1:1 copies of people, gaze in that instant seeing as you fight it. That little tidbit plus memory fuckery all around alludes that cloning was definitely going on, and seeing as you are also able to asborb immortals, initially thought because of the theory Toby stated of immortals and outers being naturally similiar, that revelation seems implies that Nova that we play as basically an immortal clone, not even an outer, and the same could be said for just about everyone in the Neun except Void, potentially.
>>23523870>Messes up the quote>Messes up the spoilerBro summer is almost over come on.
There is an utter shitheap of a build underneath this transmog and I kinda wish there was a toggle for it while out in the open just to flashbang yourself with how much of a clown you can look like when you care more about numbers than part aesthetics.
>>23523874Crazy i know, but yeah there you go, there's a cloning conspiracy.
>>23523875To be fair I'm really impressed by how good the clownsuiting is in this game, I do wish there were more parts but to be fair what's in here does allow for a lot of mixing and matching. It does help that the Neun suits also follow some basic design elements so they're extremely suited to mixing and matching as well.
>>23523720>When using that cross-slash for your first hit, I'm not sure how it decides whether or not you're in crit rangeI figured it out, and it's stupid. If the weapon in the left hand crits, they both crit. If the weapon in the right hand crits, it decides if each weapon should crit individually. That's it.
>>23523865No, I get that, I know both the bow and knife have the +75% loot chance special stat. I was wondering how effective you found them to actually use, since bows do awful damage and I found them to be very unwieldy with their 3-shot/charged shot gimmick. Do more advanced bows like Echidna's actually do damage? (I mean, compared to the piddly dmg of the knives).
>>23523875>with how much of a clown you can look like when you care more about numbers than part aestheticsIn a game like DxM1 or any Armored Core game this would be relevant, but here? The transmog makes it so part stats are the ONLY thing worth caring about. How they look doesn't matter at all when you can just transmog it, finally a mech game got it right. Style and substance.
What other bosses/superbosses from DxM 1 are missing right now? Do you guys think we'll be getting another Emergency Mission this week? Seems a bit of a waste of a system to only use it for Zeruchroar.
>>23523940>Do you guys think we'll be getting another Emergency Mission this week?Kind of hope so. I like the ideaBut that kind of content pipe isn't really realistic I'd wagerI even decided I'd just let whatever event's that happen, happen without gaming the system too hard.
>>23523940Nightmare, Bolt, Snatcher and Aviator are the only bosses left from DxM that they can recycle, there's also Dominator but that's the final boss and I don't see it coming back due to story reasons.Nightmare and Snatcher might make it in somehow, but Aviator and Bolt are a no no since there's no arena big enough for them.
>>23523888This is my biggest problem with armored core 6. Almost none of the sets match eachother so you aways end up looking ridiculous unless you stick to a set
>>23523940Aviator is notably absent which upsets me given that they finally made Lost Heart worth using so I'm hoping they'll do the same with Even Flow.
Does the brawling stat even affect much? I have A on brawling and my Noble Pride blade is only still doing 90 a pop on Gaze...
>>23523965Noble Pride sucks, brawling stat makes a massive difference.
>>23523965Noble Pride is kinda bad and Gaze has highe physical resistance so it's better to use energy stuff on here.
>>23523013How do you reliably swap to the weapon you want that fast? I've been using the swap menu, but it seems to randomly change the positions sometimes and I cant' find any rhyme or reason to it. Is the quick swap better?
>>23523971>Gaze has highe physical resistanceNo she fucking doesn't. Bitch has four Explorer parts on.
>>23523977She's still weak to Laser for some reason. I love the game, but the Laser shilling is honestly a bit annoying.
>>23523977You see red numbers when you hit her with that metal paddle? No? Then she resists physical.I don't make the rules bub, she takes more damage from energy sources and that's that.
Oh my god, going from light/medium hybrid build with low gravity moonjumps to heavyweight and jumping like a relatively realistic human being is the funniest thing I've seen so far of this game.
>>23524028I´m so used to have a relatively good movement with nice jump performance that the one time I changed for a heavy build I´d jump around and barely move, it was so weird. Though I´m also not used to having good flight speed, since currently jumping around makes me go faster than flight or dashing. Wish I knew why the fuck I have -20% flight performance with a lighter chestpiece
Just beat the story. What the fuck happened to Legion? I never saw him again after the first fight.
>>23524054every timethere's a route split at the end between two places, you get to fight either Gaze or Legion, whatever happens to whoever remains nobody knows, but you can do the route split you missed in the story section of the simulator at the base.
Whats even the point of fighting Omega strays when they drop the same shit as normal ones?
>>23524098The challenge I guess. Some Omega Strays also have really good loot for the zones they're in.
Are handgun builds viable?
>>23524110I´m trying to use the tristar as someone here said it´s good against bosses but I just can´t get into the right spot for it to deal any damage. Even stunned, bosses keep moving a bit going in and out of range. The critical range for those thing really should be a little larger
>>23524098>when they drop the same shit as normal ones? They don't. They CAN have the same shit as normal ones but Omega ones can also have really good shit sometimes. They have a better table.
>>23524110Dual handguns? No. Pairing a handgun(s) with something else? Absolutely. You need to stagger whatever you're fighting and then you abuse the window with handguns as you can then safely sit in their crit range and watch the HP drop like a fucking rock.>>23524113Tri sucks, use Salamander.
>>23524110Yeah. But they're a bit difficult to use.>>23523973The quick swap swaps in a certain order so once you swap through the cycle once you'll probably have it down. I swap weapons too often to understand the moon logic that dictates the hold swap's position.
>>23524134It shoots a bit faster but has way less weakspot damage bonus and the same amount of critical range, just a bit further. How is it better than triplestar?
Has anybody else been getting more fog than usual lately? That's five times today I've gone to a new place and it's been fucking silent hill
>>23524153Nothing to worry about until you go back to base and Ash is munching on pizza
>>23524149Because the fire rate almost nearly makes up for the damage loss and the Salamander actually has usable enough flinch and range to be used as a real fucking weapon. The tri is just a shitty gimmick gun that is ONLY viable for stagger punish. Salamander can do both punish and work as a regular fucking gun.
>>23524153I was wondering the same. I also started noticing the extra fog today. Could it be for a new Emergency Mission? Maybe the extra fog was toggled server-side just like Zeruchroar.
>>23524028>>23524041The funny thing is you can just slap high jump legs on a heavy body and still jump high
>>23524178As you should
>>23524149See >>23524167Also to add to that, Salamander has WAY more DPS when outside the crit range (and you almost always will be).
>>23523919It's a matter of preference, really. Arachne's bow is pretty powerful and you can snipe a lot of early enemies in 1-3 hits. Problem being actually aiming the goddamn thing if you're not running mkb.Knives can work (and work exceptionally well on enemies with a weakspot), but they're pretty weak otherwise and if you're forced to use their normal combo because you couldn't assassinate your target in one go or you got spotted it's pretty clunky.Personally, I used to run sword+knife for early farming, then dropped the knife when it started being too shit (sidenote: while backstabbing grabbed enemies is fun, magdumping an smg is better. It also instantly and automatically reloads when you start the grab), then made a dedicated hunting build with sword+knife+bow, though I only used the knife when I ran out of ammo.
>>23524199>Problem being actually aiming the goddamn thing if you're not running mkbGyro is good for this, even if you can only do joystick gyro on PC right now. It helps with aiming lock-on missile and sniper rifles too. There's a soft lock around targets so you can't free-aim most other weapons unless you shoot far enough away to break the softlock and hope they run into it, but that does help make up for slight movements that'd otherwise mess up your aim
>>23524041Because you have medium/heavy arms or head. Match your weight class in all parts and it'll mostly go away. It's also affected by weapon weight, but good luck figuring out how that works. On that note, why the FUCK is a heavyweight head the only way to obtain the 40% stamina efficiency bonus? What fucking sense does it even make?
>>23524218Real outers work out at the library
>>23524218I have mid, light and super light armor pieces. Is that why? If I go all light the debuff will go away?
Anyone running a Two-Handed GSword build? Was thinking of making a Stager 3 build with 2HGS, but wanted to know if anyone has any experience with one. Like, how cancer is using it when bosses tend to jump around so goddamn much and charging takes forever?
>>23524183Is the black lynx any good? I like it´s looks but seems like a worse salamander. Although I´m really not sure if I´m enjoying running a handgun as a sidearm so far...I´m trying it out on my runs against zeruchroar but if just feels like I´m wasting time I could be using melee everytime I stop to shoot the pistol at it
>>23524153It's just how the weather is in mountainous regions.
Is there an Egret II or some other laser blitz in the game? I only found this and an ugly one from a boss and I refuse to use ugly gear
>>23524183>and you almost always will bethere's a healthy conversation to be had about preference and synergizing ranges like anon said earlier with his ravenBut if you're consistently outside of crit range with pistols there's probably other weapons that can be used instead. A salamander outside of it's crit range is a worse raven II that's only in consideration due to it's low memory cost. Salamander is good for the reasons here >>23523328Also flinch is magnified by crit and weakpoint multipliers. Shot for shot, triple star nearly triples flinch per hit on weakpoints in comparison to Salamander and naturally more than doubles it's flinch on non weakpoint crits>>23524254My first three were in forest which is why I was asking. I hadn't gotten fog since like the beginning of the game weeks ago, so getting multiple in one day seemed unique to me.>>23524239I've done it on every boss and through multiple dungeons. It's miserable on non mooks. Dreadnought goes all over the fucking place, Cyble poisons you, The horse paralyzes you. Getting stuck in gaze's toxic load sucks. Legion is awful. And don't even fucking try on Eclipse.Ironically Zeruchroar is easy to saw in half. But like everybody else that isn't Rebellion or Gunfort (provided you can survive getting shot or are using the sat shield) is kind of ass.
>>23524244>Is the black lynx any good?Nah it's ass.>>23524265>But if you're consistently outside of crit range with pistols there's probably other weapons that can be used insteadSure, but that's assuming you had the space to carry shit besides the handguns and only want them to abuse their crit range, in which case you're using them as a stagger punish only. Basically if you have the space for a dedicated stagger punish, use Triple. If you don't and need something that can pass as both a punish AND a normal firearm, use Salamander.
>>23524238Mostly. You'll likely still have a couple -% points if you're running heavier weapons. Also check the other pages as well. You might be picking a matching cuirass that reduces the malus, but if it has worse speed you might be even slower than before.
>>23524265Damn, that's a shame. Was really hoping Onslaught or Charge Chaser could help with the GS mobility issues. Will probably try at some point then, but for now I'll go with a fists build. I'm getting bored of Laser Sword + Soryu w/Demilune Slash spam.
>>23524293charge chaser is fine enough on the big bosses but the humanoid bosses just move out of the way so you continue charging beyond them before the tracking starts getting more aggresive and you finally turn back into them, assuming you don't cancel it early and burn a gazillion of your stamina.Onslaught is great though (if you can hold the femto costs)With high enough brawling you basically always get the fastest speed regardless of charge.
>>23524280I was using a heavier chest that had no penalties but was very slow. The new one is more than twice as fast but has this -20% negative so, while still being faster, could be way faster than this. I´m trying to lower my weight as much as possible but I might have to chance some parts I´m using or maybe just accept this negative modifier
>Lapis Lacrima alpha/betawhat a tedious nigger of a boss

What are you supposed to do with these Axion facility rooms with the super acid/flames?
>>23524385You need max acid/burn resistance to survive the DPS on top of healing
Is the thing that gets you locked in place being shocked stun? If so, how much resistance do I need to not get locked in this state for so long?
>>23524468>Is the thing that gets you locked in place being shocked stun?Yes.>If so, how much resistance do I need to not get locked in this state for so long?Doesn't work that way. Stun resist doesn’t reduce the length of stun, it makes the threshold to stun you higher.
I was trying the knife skill that procs corrosive but it dissipates so fast I can´t even take advantage of it. Is there any use case for this?

>>23524546Fast travel back to base and then back. They aren't always there, might take a few tries. Also may need to be in post-game.
I don't remember the mechs being so small in the first one. These are more like exosuits than anything
>>23524503Don't they have a huge bonus for targets to fall down lootable? They're great for hunting genes.
>>23524610That's not really a "use case" in terms of combat usefulness. Plus you can also achieve the same thing with bows which typically have a better time killing beefier shit.
>>23524599Because they weren't. They were mechs in the OG, now they are exosuits. This isn't a sequel, it's a reboot as evidenced by the definitions of things such as "Immortal" completely changing.
>Final end area spoilerSo, did anyone get a bug where Soma just freezes and does nothing?
>>23524635Nope, that's a weird one. I had it happen to Zeruchroar though, really funny.
>>23524635I've had multiple bosses just stand still for extended periods of time. Sometimes I think they're getting stuck on geometry, but other times there's nothing around them.

>Equip Hacc 3>Can see terminals through walls>Can't hacc through walls or gatesLife...is simply unfair, don't you think
Is it skill issue or is jump performance disruptive after some point? I feel that past 200 the jumps are too wild to manage. 160 is my sweetspot, but of course it might be just what I´m used to
>>23524691Neither here nor there, really. Can some people control crazy jumps? Maybe, but I wouldn't call it a "skill issue" since jumps aren't integral to the gameplay loop.
Any way for me to do the side quests that were blocked after beating the main story? I didn´t know I´d miss some quests and saved over my file
>>23524691You're not a real outer if you don't have 350+ jump perfomance
>>23524703Nope, you're fucked.
>>23524677You obviously care a lot. Has someone given you a hard time for enjoying this game?
>>23524703You can do them in multiplayer with a host that has the quests.
>>23524599>>23524627>They were mechs in the OG"Large armor" according to the producer. The next game is mecha if they get to make it >>23520274. Don't see how it's a reboot considering the setting for this game wouldn't exist without the events of the first one. "Immortal" also covers femto-mutated biomechanical animals now, but the old ones are still around. Since the Dominator was destroyed in the first game, this is probably all just part of the Immortals fighting humanity to force them to evolve over the course of hundred of thousands of years rather than taking over AI in Oval Link to stop them from getting the Dominator. The immortals themselves seem to be evolving too, which in turn gives humanity resources either via salvaging or fusion just like how people got femto technology from them in the first game.
>>23524742No, this game literally makes no sense in the context of the original. Femto doesn't even behave the same way. Femto didn't mutate humans into monsters in DxM1, it either made you terminally ill or you became an Outer. It's a new canon.
>>23524742heh it´s kinda of a soft reboot. You don´t need any info from the first game to get into this one. Having played the original will probably only make you confused on what the fuck is going on since everything is different with not a single character or faction from before, just the reused names and some enemies are common. Honestly I enjoyed the plot of the original more. I mean, it was confusing as hell too, but I liked the dynamic of having a bunch of different merc groups interactiong, sometimes as enemies, sometimes cooperating
>>23524742>Femto now inexplicably mutates people into biomechanical horrors>Immortal no longer refers to hostile machine AIs and now refers to said horrors>Arsenals inexplicably got smaller, including all their weapons which directly got ported over>Immortals featured in the first one also inexplicably got smaller to compensate for this size changeIf you think this is a sequel you're crazy bro.
>>23524759>Honestly I enjoyed the plot of the original more.Same. Mostly because Grief was a way better antagonist than Void/Trinitas.
>>23524497>>23524503If you're already up close to an enemy, their short crit range makes it easier to start a crit melee combo into a high crit weapon and the lack of endlag on the first two hits (one button press) makes repositioning to get into that range without spending a dodge pretty easy. The long combo duration also gives you time for weapon switching if you want. Of course, you could also just lead with a stable crit range weapon that hits harder or reposition to be in crit range for your other melee weapon in the first place so it's not that much of an advantage. But since corrosive lowers defense maybe you could start with that, then do a crit knife combo into a high crit weapon combo to cross slash for big damage. Also just noticed that you can keep stabbing with them during a grab unlike other melee weapons, which gives them some utility for getting extra damage off when paired with a heavier hitting weapon if you aren't packing a gun that does it better. Seems like they're meant to complement other melee weapons in general; particularly high crit ones that have trouble getting into critical range.
>>23524794>All this hoop jumpingOr you could just not waste a weapon slot on a knife and use fucking combo thrust.
So what is this long ass tower that you have to climb? Is it a side-quest or do you just have to find it and do it?
>>23524809Completely optional side thing to fight a secret boss (the hardest one in the game atm).
>>23524814Is there at least a fast travel point at the top?
Is there a single lightweight armor with a higher natural memory capacity than the Auxo? After going from the Anemos > Flamberge > Auxo, I thought memory capacity would keep going up as equipment grade increased, but it seems like the Auxo is just a weird outlier.
>>23524818Yes
>>23524820Time to find this thing and make the attempt...
>>23524819Dragon Slayer has comparable memory with stat variances making them good to mix if you want a full LW build with high memory, but aside from that no. It doesn't go higher unless you start using MW/HW parts.
>>23524756>>23524764The original barely scratched the surface of what femto could do because it took place in a tiny bubble. This takes place 200 years after it spread across the planet and humanity had been using it in all parts of their society to the point where they planted femto trees on Earth so they could go live comfortably there. You've even got human NPCs talking about how they need to take femto sickness pills like Guns Empress was going to work on after the first game.>Femto now inexplicably mutates people into biomechanical horrors>Immortal no longer refers to hostile machine AIs and now refers to said horrorsIt mutated humans into Outers already, now it's affecting other wildlife in more drastic ways because two entire worlds have been covered in it for ages. Who's to say that the biomechanical horrors aren't hosting the same Immortal AI from the first game? Four even mentions that when the two Immortal factions fought, they were constantly interfacing with and overwriting each other which is similar to fusion or immortals preying on one another in the wild in TC.>Arsenals inexplicably got smaller, including all their weapons which directly got ported overWhy wouldn't they as technology improves? They still use the femto teleportation for weapons and parts as well as a neural link with the pilot, just on a smaller scale. It makes more sense to have smaller arsenals if your primary enemy has gotten smaller too.>Immortals featured in the first one also inexplicably got smaller to compensate for this size changeThis is the only part that doesn't make sense, but considering all the other shit Immortals can do it's not that weird. Come to think of it, do we have any direct comparisons for that? Arsenals in the first game weren't that much bigger than people.
>>23524808You could also just give yourself infinite stamina and punch everything to death, but it's more fun to use a variety of weapons. If you want to use a knife, you may as well know how to take advantage of its strengths.
>>23524831>It mutated humans into Outers already, now it's affecting other wildlife in more drastic ways because two entire worlds have been covered in it for agesExcept it now mutates HUMANS into biomechanical horrors too, something it absolutely did not do in the original and they would have 100% mentioned it if it did. The game blatantly states via Void's monologue that when exposed to Femto, humans are most likely to die, less likely to mutate into immortals, and even less likely to become outers. Based on this, we can easily deduce that for every Outer created by Femto exposure there AT LEAST needs to be that many mutant biomechanical monsters created +1 as well at bare minimum. With how many outers we encounter in DxM1, it's fucking impossible that no mutants were created by Femto exposure so either they just chose not to mention it (which makes zero sense and is retarded) or Femto simply didn't do that in DxM1 which suggests it's a different canon.
>>23524828Unfortunately, Dragon Slayer is midweight, and my autism doesn't let me mix weight classes.
>>23524844So it is, I mistook it as LW due to it's actual printed weight value being comparable to Auxo. That being said what's it matter? You could put on all HW shit and make yourself look LW.
>>23524307Yeah, just eat the penalty. I know I am, since without a heavy head I have shit memory. It's not too bad anyway, unless you're running something like ultralight body and heavy arms+head (which may very well be faster than a heavy body anyway, since those have shit aerial speed).
>>23524819Demeter, I think? It's either higher or on par.
>>23524385Loot them for the exact same loot you'd find anywhere else.
>>23524839Literally every Outer in 1 had mutated to have a unique superpower of some kind. The DXM sourcebook goes over them all even if the first game didn't do a good job of showing that off. Terrors in particular gained longevity in addition to those powers, with Grief barely even being human by the end due to his many years with the Dominator. There's also Solomon's (the individual's) true identity from said sourcebook:>At the time of the moon fall, an infamous young man [the other identity of Solomon] was on the ground close to where the Dominator fell, but the physical and mental damage of this encounter were so severe that it caused an Outer ability of “predation” to emerge for his survival, along with turning him into a completely different living being - neither AI nor human.A direct example of the same sort of femto bullshit that's all over in 2. Zeruchroar also provides an example of Immortal evolution. You say we saw a lot of Outers in 1, but considering the future of the world was at stake and four huge corporations were paying them to operate in a zone only they can operate in, the number we meet is pretty damn small. Even the biggest mercenary group there had only 10 pilots as far as we know. While reading up on the sourcebooks, I saw they also clarified that the Blitz your Outer used in 1 was downsized Arsenal technology. It stands to reason that they'd further downsize it to help Outers fight against the ever-evolving rogue AI horrors. Arsenal technology was pretty new considering Grief was piloting a prototype back in Mission Zero, just 40-60(?) years before the events of the first game, so it seems natural that they'd want to improve it further without needing to turn people into cyborgs anymoreI don't understand how you can think this is a separate canon. Femto becoming more widespread plus 200+ years of femto-influenced Outer/Immortal evolution and technological advancement explains pretty much all of the discrepancies.
>>23525012None of this explains why they never mention Femto mutating people into biomechanical monsters.>BUT THE OUTERS HAVE SUPER POWERS!That's not the same thing and you fucking know it.
Anyone find any level 3 shotgun shot count increase attachments? If so, do they increase memory cost?
>>23525018They didn't mention a lot of shit, the first game was barely finished. Have you considered that maybe turning into monsters wasn't so common back ? Even if he was a special case, it did at least happen to Solomon. Since then, Immortals were constantly pushing humanity to evolve while also evolving themselves. Colossal Immortals and mid-sized immortals were already animal-like in the first game and Outers are able to interface with machines more easily due to their femto mutations, so Immortals becoming fully biomechanical over the course of 200 years isn't that much of a stretch. Between that and two whole planets being covered in femto, why is it so unbelievable that more humans also started to become monsters like Solomon? They didn't even have a cure for outer syndrome back in the days of the first game, so the only two options may have been become an Outer or die. I'm sure we'll learn more about the events between games in supplemental material, but until then there's no concrete evidence of the games being separate canons. We just don't know everything yet.
>>23525063>Even if he was a special case, it did at least happen to SolomonNothing ever mentions Solomon mutating into a biomechanical monster, you're pulling this out of your ass.>Have you considered that maybe turning into monsters wasn't so common back ? That makes quite literally zero sense. It'd be like radiation poisoning suddenly turning people into cheese tomorrow. Until this is officially explained, I refuse to believe this game is a sequel. Given how much it was inspired by the Armored Core series, it seems much more likely to me it's a soft reboot new canon like Armored Core has done many times.
Do level 3 VT restoration increase attachments even exist? I've finished the game and the best I could find was two level 2s.
>>23525101Yes, I have a bunch.
>>23525066>wtf why does the magic sci-fi radiation do things that weren't explicitly mentioned before! The point of magic sci-fi radiation is to allow them to do whatever the fuck they want it to do. You can complain about that being bad writing but don't fucking try and claim this isn't a sequel.
>>23525108Where do they drop?
I mean maybe it's nothing but my fog luck has clearly been impeccable
Yknow the one actual conspicuous detail between games is the reclassification of Immortals to refer to two different things of almost polar opposite nature.>machines that have become violent towards man, but have not actually betrayed their purpose when you realize the truth behind their actionsVs>amalgamations of flesh and metal that subvert the natural order of things to create a whole new category of lifeformIt's going to be real fucking stupid if it turns out the two games aren't actually in chronological succession, but that they're parallel stories separated by the isolation between the two Earths.
>>23525230Don't worry, the third game will reveal the previous 2 games are all actually simulation.
Finally... My journey is over...
>>23525264Nothing has happened yet, it's all Grief's precognition bullshit.
I miss my atlas headgear so much...it was perfection
>>23525027They exist but they're pretty rare, and no they do not increase memory costs.
>>23525066>Nothing ever mentions Solomon mutating into a biomechanical monster, you're pulling this out of your ass.https://www.reddit.com/r/DaemonXMachina/comments/gpk2ot/dxm_sourcebook_table_of_links_visual_showcase/Read it for yourself, the bit about Solomon is in the Reclaimers Factions section. There's plenty of stuff they had in mind but didn't explicitly put into the first game. The The History of the Oval section explicitly starts off by saying that femto could mutate and transform the world and that there were new life forms near the moonfall site. The slightest amount could cause changes in the human body, and now there's much more than that all over.
>>23525230I don't think they're actually different, femto just corrupted a bunch of lifeforms into biomechanical horrors over time and gave the Immortals more tools to evolve with. You get genetic material from both old immortals and new ones in this game after all
>>23525463The entire planet is also fundamentally irradiated given that humanity planted femto trees all over the fucking place.
>>23524824>Start at around 2 in the morning>Got to the top sometime after I left to handle business at seven and came home at eleven>Get my ass kicked by SolomonThis is the real ritual
on a pleasant note, this game seems pretty happy with being shunted into my PC's sleep mode during the day.
>>23525598TFW we can't knock Iris up because she's the only fertile Outer. Which explicitly means we are shooting blanks.
>>23525463>A quantum computer, life form that has been sleeping within the moon. It is possible to code and program life. After falling to the ground due to the collapse of the moon, it slept underground with its automatic defense system operating; carefully proliferating the surrounding AI. Originally, without malicious intent, it was the will of the universe that brought this new source of life to the ground. The Dominator’s only purpose was to "improve life and technology as soon as possible, and spread its seeds throughout space." It was looking forward to taking a trip into outer space someday, unfortunately while performing various pattern calculations, the Dominator miscalculated a compositional change, causing the moon to fall and initiating the “Awakening Day.” No matter how many calculations it made, the end result was always the demise of existence. Therefore, an unprecedented intervention had to be undertaken.Four is cute
