Con: The transition from Baku talking to Zero while he was awake to him being asleep was a bit awkward, and in the moment I had a hard time telling if he was alseep the whole time or not. (Him not understanding English I guess is the sign he's awake)

Also...the ep ended kind of suddenly. I feel like if they cut a minute out of the motorcycle chase we could have had a smoother transition to the cliffhanger.

Nice bike action. Seems like even if they do forget it after the first ten episodes that they are trying to make the most of the bike for now.
The twist at the end served to drive interest quite well and move to the second part.

I love the comedy so far. I love real lifr Baku's mannerism and Fujimi is fucking hilarious. The bike scene was awesome and the truck fight reminded me of the Agito car fight scene a bit.

Better than the premiere, way more energetic and action-packed. I wasn't really that impressed with the fighting and special effects last time, as I've seen plenty of those tricks used before in these series to better effect. But the ones in this episode were wonderful; that chase scene is far more impressive than any chase we've gotten in Reiwa. The whole episode just pushes you into the action, which was great, and the comedy bits felt very natural, as if they were improvising most of their dialogue. This is the type of vibe I wanna see from this show as compared to the generic, bland tone of the pilot.
The editing and pacing are a bit frenetic, and it makes it hard to take a lot of the information in a serious manner. But I'm not really expecting a great story from this writer anyway, so as long as I'm having fun with what's happening, I don't care. I don't even mind the cliffhanger, and I think a 3-episode arc to introduce the show is a good way to do so. 3 episodes would also count as an hour-long movie, and you could say that's inspired by spy films, making each 3-part case like Zeztz own movie adventures.
The Showa sound effect for the bike was cool, but stop pretending this is classic Kamen Rider. This is like the third show in a row where they try to pretend these wild, crazy takes on the franchise are actually "true Kamen Rider" when no, they're not. Pokemon cards, walking, talking candies, and dream worlds where the MC has a belt through his chest are so far removed from Showa that there's no point pretending they're the same.

I think her Nightmare took over her body. Zero said when that happens they never wake up. So dream Nemu could be the og and since IRL Nemu is popular she can show up in others dreams and act. It's an interesting premise until you remember this is a main cast member, and they're not gonna reveal he's a secret arsonist. The truth is gonna be that Nox and the Nightmares are exaggerating his feelings to cause chaos. He probably secretly hates his job despite being his dream, and some days he just wants to burn it all down and get away from it. Tons of people have those desires when they're unastisfied with their work. But it doesn't make those people secretly evil or criminals, just regular folk.

Yeah, the issue with what Revice is that they had scenes in early episodes that make no sense when they turn around and try to say they were always good (like Vice laughing at Ikki's picture disappearing or early George clearly enjoying Hiromi's suffering). Anon it's literally brought up all the time as one of the few good things Gotchard did. Even though hardly anyone likes the show in the Gavv's threads multiple times people would talk about how they wanted proper insert songs again because Gotchard brought them back, when Minato was leaked as the producer having insert songs was seen as the only silver-lining and then when it was revealed that he wasn't the actual chief producer people kept saying that they hope Minato at least convinces Yanaka to do that.
I really have to assume you're a shitposter for ignoring all that. Also I wonder who even did this insert song, since apparently the one done by BACK-ON's singer was the one from the first episode, it's weird that they're revealing the insert songs' names and artists a week later rather than a week before the episode like usual.

The likeliest scenerios are 2 or something like Build where it gets revealed that the rival was actually mind-control. Apparently Nox was created by Takahashi to have a clear villain in the first half of the show before the plot kicks in hard since Yanaka's focus is world-building. But Yanaka was an AP for Build and ROGUE so I'm expecting him to pull a twist similar to that.

The credits confirmed it is Back-On's TEEDA and its the same song. Ep 1's might be an instrumental part or version of the full song. We only heard very little of it today. Like mentioned, I want to hear it in more episodes to see if it will follow Gotchard's way and we eventually grt multiple ones similar to it and Gozyuger.

Nem's described as a national idol who appears in commercials and various media, she does have a physical presence irl and she has the ability to travel to lucid dreams like Baku, which is the only way they get to interact (for now at least). They do say her true identity remains full of mystery, but I doubt she's evil given she's supposed to be the Heroine of the show.

If I had to guess, the basic flow will be Baku showing up in a person's dream, deal with the havoc, tell Fujimi and Nagumo what happened, then Nagumo will track the person down and get whatever info she can on them, Fujimi pieces the info together as to how they're manifesting past issues into a Nightmare, then Baku takes care of the issue. She probably won't be especially useful or on-board with everything until they give her a Nightmare to be dealt with in the first few arcs of the show.

Toei learned alot after filming Shin I’ll say that much. Alot of those lessons are shown in this episode and im genuinely impressed with the stunts and the hijacking.

I liked the bike action, but it was also kinda flat. The tunnel was mostly just him getting closer to the van without actually making progress. the ending cliffhanger was also pretty fast, he's about to throw down with the nightmare then oops, can't fight now, you need an info dump.
I really dug the humor this episode, zero's witty joke was top tier, everyone's way of clambering into the van, the dog poo bit, cop lady being incessantly put-upon, all of it was very charming. Speaking of charming, the constant doohickery fuckering in the dream base was also cool, all the secret panels and little buttons and knobs and dials.

It was an amazing episode. It was incredibly efficient with planting foreshadowing, mysteries(Nemu, Zero, Imouto, Dreamdude), worldbuilding, fleshing out characters and giving the audience the right expectations on what kind of rider show it's going to be. Kami's bringing his A game on the action and hilarity here. Not only was the warehouse fight a great showcase of Baku's abilities but they also gave consideration towards letting the MOTW use their powers for more than just attacking. That chase scene at the end was clearly them hooking Shin Kamen Rider fans into the franchise proper. You could hear them riffing a little off Iwasaki's tracks during the sequence and those quick cuts and shifting centers of attention was very reminiscent of Anno's style from the movie.

Some people don't seem to be jiving with the sudden cliffhanger but I give it praise instead for using it to set stuff up as a hook for the next episode. It showed that defeating the MOTW isn't always going to be the end be all for the fights, hints that dream dude may not be entirely antagonistic, that dreams are more important than they seem and that the victims can have complicated motivations. Baku questioned the idea of the cop wanting to destroy the police but I say it's most likely a monkey paw thing by the MOTW so that cop can redeem himself by saving them.

All in all it serves as a better onboarding point than the pilot to hook new viewers but at the same time what happened in the pilot needed to be set up first before could get in gear with this one. I'd really like to see if they have any production notes on the comedic moments of the episode because quite a bit of those physical gags seemed like ad-libs they came up with during shooting.

It was good. I love the Sully and Scully dynamic of the two cops, and the humor is great. I wasn't expecting Zetz to be as funny as it is, and a good part of that is thanks to the performances. I don't mind the cliffhanger, but I really don't like the credits being placed on top of the fight scenes; they are way too intrusive, in my opinion. My only complaint is that, for being set in a dream, the car chase was extremely pedestrian. They didn't utilize the concept to its fullest during the scene, but I know it was most likely due to budget.

I don't know if it's just a joke or possible foreshadowing, but Zero commands the Nightmare from the first episode to "finish it already" by the end of the Transformation Course.
It was already weird that the first Nightmare just randomly targets him and pushes him into becoming a Kamen Rider, so adding to this just makes me think that, at the very least, the first Nightmare was under Zero's payroll, targeting the main character to become Zeztz.
