Thunderbirds is /m/ as fuck. Why don't you discuss it more?
>>23531123Not enough shootas.
>>23531123>5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ..>Thunderbirds are /m/ !
>>23531123Because this board is full of people under 35.
>>23531123I only ever saw it when I was a kid. I've been meaning to rewatch it an all the old puppet shows I missed like like Captain Scarlet but I never get around to it.
I'm really curious about thishttps://youtu.be/MVQYzHahcRM
>>23532592>For grown upsoh piss off. This kind of shit always tears me. It's just gonna be low effort cheap edgy shit to try and appeal more grown up. Just let it be for kids. Enjoy it as something for kids. I don't want another team america
>>23532621For me it's a 50-50, stuff like captain scarlet was already plenty edgy.
>>23532636right but it never SOLD itself as being FOR ADULTS.
>>23532587Scarlet's fun. The 3dpd remake is weird, but works surprisingly well for the most part.
>>23532621I feel you but it's a 30 second long announcement there's not much to extrapolate on. It's a spy thing so it could just mean James Bondish. But I'm sorry I brought it up now lol.I really liked UFO. I dont know if the target audience was for kids and adults or just everyone but it became one of my favourite scifi shows. I never grew up with it though I just saw it years ago when I heard it inspired Eva. I even bought gachapons of the satellite but I lost them in a move.Skydiver is an underrated machine
THIS IS THE VOICE OF THE MYSTERONS
>>23532684I am fairly certain that UFO was made with adults in mind. I don't think that they would have made the episode where Straker lets his son die for any of the supermarionation shows.
>>23532700WE KNOW THAT YOU CAN HEAR US, EARTH MEN.
>>23532700You think they'd have got away with it more often if they didn't announce their plans before hand?
>>23531123We love Thunderbirds and Gerry Anderson as a whole. As the another anon said, UFO is fantastic. Terrahawks is fever dream but it's great too.
>>235311602 was by far the coolest.
>>23531123When I was a kid, my dad tripped on the dog in the living room and stomped onto my upright Thunderbird 1 toy. Went pretty deep into his foot. It had the rubber top cone in it but it had long since hardened with time and was sharp as hell. Punched a good sized hole into his arch. Bled all over the house and needed the wound packed at the ER. Turns out Thunderbird 1 leaves a very difficult to stitch wound.
I remember watching that newer CG Thunderbirds cartoon and enjoying it, but I don't think I actually finished it. Thought it was pretty impressive how they made the environment and backgrounds look like they were real sets like the old days.
>>23533239>Turns out Thunderbird 1 leaves a very difficult to stitch wound."I won't show you the horrors of our Thunderbird 3 ward"
>>23531123Because, and I know this is difficult to understand, the puppets are fucking ridiculous. People back in the day watched it because there literally was nothing else on TV.Riker directed a Thunderbirds remake movie in 2004 that was entirely live action and CGI effects. No puppets. The South Park guys made themselves a whole movie mocking the entire concept as a bunch of crap.
>>23533026WE'RE MARTIAN, NOT RUDE.
>>23533519Oh god, the struts.
>>23534339Pretty sure the south park guys were huge fans. You don't make a full budget puppet movie without love in your heart.
>>23534355>Pretty sure the south park guys were huge fans>without love in your heart. It's the South Park guys. Their whole shtick is to mock things.
>>23534366Well they should love it, puppets are great.
