Why hasn't anyone made an action game of this yet?
not everything needs to be adapted into different media, if you want an over the top balls to the wall exciting adventure with stupid shit happening at every turn there's tons of games that give you that
>>23536776It's already been adapted into other media (specifically games), though. I'm just wondering why no one has attempted to make an action game. Seems an obvious thing to do.
Wasn't there a DS game for it?
>>23536780No it doesn'tThe idea of a TTGL action game just has me imagining a very monotonous beat-em upIt might not be bad for a 2D arcade game you can finish in 30 minutes, I guess, but for the standard 3D DMC/GoW type action game you're probably thinking of? There's a good reason those usually have multiple weaponsNot to mention that TTGL gets by on how each scene is individually stylized. It's not near as cool when that has to be translated to canned game animations
>>23536820There was.>>23536833We have drill punches, missiles, shockwaves, guns, mines, teleportation, and of course the signature. Surely that's enough coverage for weapons. And there's numerous methods of accomplishing similar stylization in a game format.
>>23536761Why can't you stay on reddit?
>>23536833>The idea of a TTGL action game just has me imagining a very monotonous beat-em upConsider, a mario odyssey style system where you can take over and merge with enemies. Between that and the progression of TTGL itself we have a constantly evolving moveset that's more than enough to keep a game interesting when paired with a good combat system. Bonus, it means you can repurpose all the enemy moves for the player and get twice the mileage out of your content.Plus imagine getting to see/play all those what-ifs of Lagann merged with various ganmen.
I think TTGL as a series is already concluded and needs no further continuation, but I wouldn't mind seeing stuff that takes a clear inspiration from it in the form of a spiritual adaptation.
>>23537007Seconding >>23537644 in that this sounds like it would work better as an original IP.Really if any /m/ franchise is "why hasn't anyone made an action game of this" material, it's Symphogear - it's filled with people cutting down hordes of enemies with stock footage special moves in a way that's perfect for a Musou or something.
If they did make a game of TTGL, I wouldnt play it becuase it would be impossible to capture the essence of the show. It was lightning in a bottle. The way to respect such works of art is leave them alone.
It'd be a QTE slop fest and it'd suck.
>>23540221MGR was fucking awesome
>>23536761action games SUCK
>>23538571mommy!
>>23540311wtf? kek..
>>23536761because it's a shit gayslop that only edgy tryhard closeted teens liked then forgot about it because coombait shitware don't last and don't have any effect like good shows like Gundam, Mazinger, Getter, etc... who gave us mechs not boobs
>>23536761Coal
>anime gamelol they're always low budget shit, there is so much anime these days, the scene moves so fast that it's pointless to make an anime game for profit what with the next best thing on the horizon.
>>23536761That's too much actual work. Here some gacha slop instead. The era of good anime mecha games made by actual game developers ended in the 2000s. You can't count on them especially the Japanese.Face it, (you) will never get Another Century Episode.
>>23540817>try to get into this game>most events are locked behind very high levels (+150) that need years of grindingwtf were they thinking?
>>23536761Because it's garbage.
TTGL is shit as a show and it would be even worse as a game.
>>23542752Bait or an actual opinion?
