have you introduced your liking for Armored Core with other interests or hobbies of yours?
>>23543348Yes, though it already existed within the hobby before I even learned of it a few years ago
>>23543570Wait a minute...
>state of play is todayI sure am excited for more forgettable jeet/chink slop that will end up on ps+
WILL THERE REALLY BE NO HOPE FOR AC 6.5 ANNOUNCEMENT?
>>23543913probably at goty awards, we know they have an unknow project set to release in 2026
>>23543595Murakumo, my beloved...
>>23543913State of slop isn't done and tokyo game show is tomorrow We won't see anything tomorrow either
>>23543913why would they bamco release anything for a literally who event?
>>23543913Gee I wonder where the next AC game might be announced? Will it be at some minor event barely anyone cares about which rarely has any major announcement or will it be at one Geoff Keighley's events, who took the role of E3, showed the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring, announced the previous Armored Core and also the last game Fromsoftware released. Clearly we simply don't have enough information to make a good guess. If nothing's shown at TGA then feel free to abandon all hope, as that means they're probably working on Shadow Tower 3 or some other weird project.
Imagine if the next fromsoft game ends up being chromehounds 2 or a remaster, ugh

I would very much like to see another AC game in a setting more like 2 where the scifi is a bit more neon and let grit

>>23546755I'll never forget the first time I had to fight the bioweapons in 2 and absolutely panicked because I couldn't lock on to them.
Whens the concert and can I listen to the rusted pride and day by day orchestral?
>>23546797for me it's the extra giant spider in AC3's sewerspretty sure it's the largest enemy in AC if we put aside the ice worm that is obviously longer
>>23546749yeah I want the cyberpunk vibes back too
>>23546755>AC but avatarpls soft. I want to commit genocide on actual hateable aliens
>>23546804They do it so deliberate too by making it hidden and doing elaborate reveal but didn't do anything further about it lmao. Classic old gen.On another note, I'd argue AC6 actually does have beast/monster fights, they're just using metal skin (like the Sea Spider and Ice Worm).

>>23541663how hard is it to crank out a few new parts every few months, even if we have to pay for themis it because of the the multiplayer "balancing" ruining it?
If nothing is announced for AC6 at The Game Awards in December, it's fucking over... again.
>>23547449Literally took a decade for fromsoft to move from ACV(erdict day) to AC VI. What makes you think that they will give the expansion for the game so soon?
>>23547484To be fair, AC6 started production in 2016, just 3 years after VD released. Just took them forever to finish it. Now they have the 6th gen production pipeline all done and presumably less megaprojects a la Elden Ring on the table so more AC should come sooner rather than later.
Is it possible to win boss fights as a tread AC? I feel like treads in particular are unsuited for boss fights since most bosses do a lot of damage so there's more emphasis on avoiding attacks.
>>23547629which game
>>23547629Use the wheelchair it's crazy fucking fast>>23547512I think an AC6 PvPVE would be fun but from took that idea and made some bullshit switch game that will probably flop

>>23548371I don't think human augmentation is all that's needed to qualify.>>23548576Yeah but the above ground isn't completely abandoned, there still seems to be people or at least machines operating there for one reason or another and the below ground has cities that seem somewhat normal, dystopian but not in an apocalyptic way. With cars, streets, trees, highways and buildings, while nobody was there it still seemed lived in, just on pause. There's also an argument for the corporation war and it's scale that I've been trying to write but can't fully realize and put into words but it mostly boils down to the situation being bad but not bad enough for anyone else to step in and be a major player, only Chrome and Murakumo fighting against each other till the end. In 6 I'm either fighting in a military facility, a factory or ruins, sometimes a mix of those ingredients, I don't see people living in this planet, I see them surviving at best or invading it. From my limited experience in what I believe was For Answer and Verdict Day they are mostly on the wasteland side of things and fighting in barren deserts but I only got to play 5 missions between them in total so I can't be sure.
any good advice for beating balteus?i can't beat this fucker. i am using shoulder laser cannons, grenade launcher and a sword. he moves too fucking fast and all over the place, i have trouble gaining altitude to get to him and if i am lucky enough to get close i run out of stamina and his attacks leave me in the dusti can get his health down to 1/3 consistently but i run out of health, stamina and just fucking die every timei don't have a problem with 'hard games' but the controls of armored core is pretty challenging. it's fun but i am getting frustrated. i don't want to ragequit but if i can't beat him this weekend i might shelf it for nowhow the fuck do i consistently gain altitude to get close to him without running out of stamina? i don't even care if it's considered cheating. i just want the most op build to get past this annoying ufo faggotHELP!!!
>>23548653Are you assault boosting? Also post your build, advice on how to play it depends of what you're going with and I'd rather try that than telling you tailor your AC as a counter to it.

>>23549026Not my pic but when I ran a quad gatling build I never got a s rank because its a bullet spam build If you wanna get S rank I'd go with semi automatics and high damage weapons, juggle melee too
In which game did melee weapons become good all around instead of a situationally useful tool?
>>23549212The first game
>>23549299I'd rather play the game with no back slots than ever try to use melee in half the situations the game makes you fight in.
I think importing my save file to Project Phantasma was a mistake, this Stinger guy isn't really a threat, on the other hand that might just be the Karasawa being the Karasawa.
So, uh... am I wasting my time running a Turner paired with a Harris on a fast mid-weight?
>>23549299This, even tanks utilize melee to move.https://youtu.be/j_EGe4ku8us?t=123
>>23549479 probably? TURNER is said to be used to prevent stagger from falling, but there are other weapons that can do that simply by just building stagger at the same effective ranges
>>23548977is this how the Balam-route will look like?
>>23549502At a guess for mid-range I'm guessing an Etsujin or a Ransetsu RF?
Have you played AC's progenitor, /acg/?
Finished building the Nineball (AC Version) Model kit. I was surprised with how sturdy it was compared to the Nineball Seraph kit which felt like it would collapse at the slightest joint movement. I highly recommend it. Secondly, I'm thinking about getting the White Glint model kit next. Should I go for the cheaper one that uses the in game colours or the movie version. I've heard mixed things about the movie version so I wanted to ask here just in case.
>>23549554even a LUDLOW works better >>23549660i've seen footage it looks very fun
>>23549859With how much that price inflated it should better be fucking sturdy.I'll keep building my 30mm, thanks.

>>23550261I'm dirt fucking poor who can barely afford the 30mm. So no. I fucking want one though. It's like the 30mm is the HG and the Koto one is the MG.You should get one if able.
Is being overburdened too limiting in VI? I was thinking of going with double wings but I'm limited to tank, looking like shit or being overburdened and somehow being overburdened seems like the most attractive choice.

Is there a downside to deploying overweight in any of the gen 1 games?
Report your status, J.
>>23552123Youll feel overweight but you get used to it
>>23552185Maybe it's because I'm always piloting fat ACs but on the AC tests and the few missions I deployed overweight I couldn't tell the difference.
I keep thinking I wanna make a short story based around the time period between Silent Line and Nexus, basically at the point where everybody is unearthing old tech, cultures and media and how this affects the populace. I also thought about a group of religious extremists rising because of old religious documents that draw connections between shit like the Tower of Babel and the many Layered's that exist. This is mostly just so I can have 4 AC's named after the Four Horsemen because that sound sick as fuck, or at least expy's of them since I don't want this to be literally christianity. At the same time though, the whole "religion bad" thing seems overdone. I'm just throwing shit at the wall here, really. Anyway, thanks for reading my blog.
>>23552123>>23552222In gen 1, If you've cleared the last mission, your AC will not get affected by the overweight.
>>23552123I thought you couldn't even deploy overweight until postgame?
It's been 2 years and I still don't really know what the different FCS are supposed to do.
>>23552913they affect how well your aim tracks targets at the different range brackets, your arm part's firearm spec stat also affects thisalso missile lock on speed
love how this one turned out, plays nice too. I only need to design an merc emblem for that AC, a catchy name too.
>>23553448>I only need to design an merc emblem for that AC, a catchy name too.it's the most important parta tiny bit of backstory is a nice plus too
>>23552534Thanks, felt like I was going crazy because I thought that surely there has to be a downside that I'm not good enough to notice.>>23552809You can't but if you acquired overweight negation in 1 and then import that save to PP or MoA you get to keep it, I've heard Human+ also carries over but I finished AC 1 with my humanity intact so I'm not 100% sure of that.
Requesting a beholder emblem for PC I can't even play the game because my laptop is being fixed, have pity on a broke wagie
My first MoA arena match ended because I accidentally flew near the border and the enemy AC had such an obsession with being behind me that he left the combat area. Not a good omen.
How many different colors can ravens be?I want a raven theme but don't want to keep using x0000 as my color scheme.
>>23554329I'm guessing you mean the bird and not the mercenaries as those come in whatever color you want.Aside from black they can sometimes be brown or gray, but even if you stick to black the feathers look kinda metallic and iridescent, on the uncommon colors that doesn't mean much, somewhat metallic brown with lighter shades of brown and somewhat metallic gray with lighter shades of gray but classic black gives you more interesting results as you get somewhat dark metallic shades of blue and purple (somewhat light even depending on the lighting, angle and the camera someone took the photo with), I'm not sure how'd you represent the iridescence in game, maybe there's some way to make a gradient effect but if that doesn't work guess you simply have more colors to play with anyways.
>>23544845Rubicon's Inferno is kicking my ass because I had to start with a fresh save, but so far it's been a very nice change of pace. Sadly, I couldn't get the NEXT movement mod working with it.
>>23546755The only game I can think of that scratched that specific itch was Mecha Knights:Nightmare. Mowing down hordes of biological monstrosities was peak fun despite the heavy roughness of the game overall.
>>23554419I like those gun colors, they remind me of german prototypes and ArmA 3's AAF.
>>23553494made the emblem inspired by the Tuareg people, wanted something nomadic for this ac, with the weaponry resembling horseback warfare with spears (the ve-67lla).the Pilots name is Memeth IlouAC: SOUL JAVELIN
>>23554668 oh, like blue team in ZZ soul javelin is a cool name too
i love mechs so much bros
The Aaliyah is pure sex, if only the energy drain didn't fuck meas hard as it did.Assuming the main change to make is to just swap the gen out for a sombrero?
>>23554668Very cool, I got a desert themed AC too
I was thinking about plane like flight controls, not on every core, maybe restricted to some specialized ones or as a core expansion. The problem is I don't see a purpose in it aside of looking cool and maybe some added maneuverability while overboosting.
>>23555612 maybe if space combat becomes a thing? and not that chickenshit with the LOC station
>>23555612cores dedicated to pure flight would be neat, kinda had it with the lammergeir set in 6 but its let down by the janky boost-physics
>>23555727Either that or a game focused on staying in the air for longer and at higher altitudes, as the only gameplay opportunity I see it adding and not breaking everything else is allowing you to orbit someone instead of anchoring yourself to the ground.
>>23543348Had the same idea to combine the two, right now I am in the contemplation phase of a Commander deck for AC6.EOE's station ability lends itself very nicely for the supermassive machines and structures like the Strider, Xylem and the Vascular Plant.
>>23557241i went with the bounty counters that have like only 3 cards and two of them are BG i think>>23555520the colors on that one goes hard, very nice emblem too>>23554691i looked them up, pretty sick. never watched gundam
Any recommendations for larping as EZ8?
>>23554778me too
Just finished all three of the Gen 1 games, I'm still missing some MoA missions and the Ex Arena but I'll get to it later today. Took a couple months as life got in the way but it's mostly done. Gotta say, I'm quite impressed at how much of it they got right in their first attempt. Looking at the rest of the PS1 catalogue most of what was there was somewhat simple and generally got more interesting later on as their series evolved if they got the chance, a good chunk of it only worth playing due to their iconic status or as a historical curiosity, but the Gen 1 ACs still feel like good games today, not playing them out of respect for the series but because they're fun and interesting by themselves. I'm somewhat confused as to how the games are connected to each other, or if they're even connected to each other in the first place when it comes to Project Phantasma and I don't get what's stopping humanity from living on the surface again. While MoA's gameplay felt the best in a vacuum it was the least enjoyable game, not bad at all but not up to par with the ones that came before it.
>>23557298Haven't been on this board in a while. Just waiting for the dlc. It's all about sticker autism. If you're too lazy for that then either check ac companion for a shared build or just copy the colours. Not ez8 since I stopped playing and never got around to making it but close enough.
>>23557758>red oraclewhat's next, black white glint? blue nineball?
>>23557250>PicYou know, since they are making a lot of collabs with magic now, AC could be such a heavy artifact set, regular ACs are vehicles that need to be crewed, while AI ñ controlled ones like 9ball or pulverizers could be just regular artifact creatures, weapons and extensions easily are equipment.
Energy at 30%

Can anyone here vouch for the VI mod that adds a ton of Gen IV parts? Is it hard to install?
>>23559965its over...armored core is reclining...
>>23546891Couldn't be that hard to mod the really old game "cannon fodder". Just need a few sprites and to maybe adjust the damage the bluetards do down a bit. Those arrows should not be able to puncture the glass cockpitsMaybe a few navi can have stolen weapons that one shot your soldiers. I forget if there is a village burning mechanic, there should be.
>>23558377And as I already mentioned before, EOE mechanics could work well too. Any bigass megastructure as either a land, spacecraft or a general artifact with station mechanic would be dope.

>>23563853Here're the stats, too
>>23563853That's actually pretty decent if you know how to move in combat, pretty short ranged due to the guns and the poor recoil control so I'd change the FCS for something more optimized for your engagement distances.
>>23563878Thanks for the tip!I mainly rely on the machine guns to stagger and then go for a killing blow with a melee weapon and then empty my shoulder mounted weapon. That also lets me focus on dodging since I don't have to think too much about timing or charging shots.Reverse joints are also super good for dodging, just jumping has saved me many times.

The one thing that caught my eye was your usage of the plasma missiles, I'd say there are better options if you want to pump damage once staggered as this ones don't hit too hard all things considered, their main use is that they rarely miss meaning a range agnostic option for harassing targets and preventing loss of stagger if your MGs are reloading or the target is outside of the ideal range. Not a bad option and personally I'd keep them but the reasoning behind them was a bit odd.
>>23563897I mainly got the plasma canon cause it's light but everything else you said about it's homing and keeping stagger when guns are reloading were also very useful to me.I'd love some recommendations tho. I am still quite inefficient at building and don't know what stats to prioritize.
>>23563916Also it seems to me like the most important part so far is legs since they dictate so much about the build, most other parts just feel like changing numbers in comparison.
>>23563886hopping over a building with one button press is so fun.Even most enemies and bosses can't do shit when you're on top of them.
>>23563848 RAN-RF, CURTIS and HARRIS are quite alright. although with CURTIS the normal fire isn't something to write home about and you're really just putting it on since the charge fire is spammable SCUDDER is has autofire going for it but stats-wise RAN-RF and CURTIS will perform better for very little extra weight RAN-AR is dogshit TURNER does literally nothing, people will say it's useful for "maintaining stagger" but SCUDDER will do more for like 1 unit of extra weight, and if you're running SCUDDER again you should probably be running RAN-RF or CURTIS instead basically: assault rifles like the TURNER, SCUDDER, RAN-AR are garbage shit while non-assault rifles like RAN-RF, CURTIS, and HARRIS are okay but not better than machineguns, pistols, shotguns, laser weapons, etc.
>>23544222>the next AC gamekek
>>23563916You mostly hit the nail on the head first try, VI is about stagger and punish and your build's well suited to that. >I'd love some recommendations thoI don't really like the Chang Chens in pairs, not saying they're bad or anything but my personal preference is a couple of Etsujins, they're worse at dealing damage to staggered enemies but better at staggering them, also lower recoil which means more shots on target with those lanky arms. The other 2 are fine.>I am still quite inefficient at building and don't know what stats to prioritize.Which stat you want to focus on, either when it comes to your AC or dealing damage to others, varies wildly between builds. If I had to choose one for each then it'd be speed and stagger but if you are playing a heavy or with energy weapons then those two don't really matter and you have to focus on other aspects, there's no stat to rule them all until you get to MP metaniggery in which the most important stat is internet connection. >far is legs since they dictate so much about the buildYou either build around weaponry, movement or style. If you build around a desired movement speed then legs and booster will be the first thing you focus on.If you build around style then your general shape is what you'll focus on and modify around it.If you build around certain weapons legs won't be the first thing on your mind, it'd be the weapons themselves but also your core and generator to feed them, even more so for energy weapons.
>>23541663what makes Armored Cores so powerful in this series compared to other armored combat vehicles or battleships?at least with Gundam they have that Minovsky bullshit that gives mechs and equal if not larger footing against tanks/missiles/battleships.
>>23563978It depends on the gen but the most consistent answer is being expensive to acquire and expensive to run meaning high quality, being tailor made for their pilots and those pilots being very good. Mediocre pilots with poorly built ACs will eat shit against those threats and even bad players are above average in terms of competence.
>>23563853You're gonna have to beat the game two more times for all endings because of NG+ & NG++ which unlocks more partsYou were struggling because bullets aren't good for the shields and you should have weakened it with the pulse blase
>>23563991I wouldn't say I was struggling, shields went down decently fast with my MGs and LB.And yeah I plan on doing NG+ and ++ for the rest of the parts, logs, and possibly achievements.
>>23563978Usually speed but it does help that Ravens usually punch down instead of up.A lot AC1's missions were just beating up workers, civilians, comparatively poorly equipped militias, and probably Corporate security recruits that were hired in bulk and shoved into MTs to serve as fodder till the elite teams show up.And I doubt most Ravens in-universe climb the ranks as fast or as far the players, most probably stick to their lane, or at least it's my headcanon for why the Arena rankings don't really move at all.
>>23563960Thanks a lot for the advice!I'm definitely gonna be revising some stuff in my next AC6 session, will also post the build here for more suggestions.
>>23564004>And I doubt most Ravens in-universe climb the ranks as fast or as far the playersHalf the descriptions when you check your profile in AC 1 is about how this is the fastest climbing raven in the history of ravenhood.
>>23564013Yeah AC1's story in general was just "You're so fucking good that you keep getting out of comically rigged situations and just stumbled into the master computer's throne room and killed it."I really like that story it's funny.
>>23563978the core theory, the ability to adapt your machine to the mission or yourself, performance from synergy between the pilot and the ACother answers also are good, also the mission format of a mercenary that go in strike and go out instead of being a frontline soldier
The message of AC1 is never take jobs you're over-qualified for.
>>23564004I really enjoy beating poor people up for financial gain and personal enjoyment, hope we get more of that in 6.5
Are the PS2 games localizations that bad? I always found the shitty voice acting charming in it's own way and I feel it'd be weird to jump from dubbed gen 1 to undubbed gen 2 and 3.
Okay, I have to know something about PvP even though my secondary is showing: What is the logic behind calling naming your dog something like "H6-DVMH" or "PNAF-6874 FIRECRACKER"? Do I need to look into the history of Armored Core to understand the logic beyond acronyms and military designations, or can I just throw together whatever combination of letters and numbers gets me hard?>>23564059Based, same. The best part is when you buckbreak the RLF so hard that on your third playthrough they just give up and try to bribe you onto their side-only for ALLMIND to hit you with a better counteroffer anyway.>>23564050On the other hand the message of AC6 seems to be taking jobs you are comically overqualified for will change the world, for better or worse.
>>23564638AC6 is kinda similar to AC1 in story, main difference is that you have a purpose while in AC1 you kinda just stumble into fighting a giant robot or taking down an orbital laser and shutting down the A.I. playing both sides. Also there was 620 other guys before you that died and you weren't really supposed to get as far as you did lol
>>23564059I don't...It's just a job as far as I'm concerned :(
>>23563960Here's my new build. You weren't kidding, the Etsujins are really good for stagger.

How come there arent any games that try to copy ac style gameplay? For example, why isnt there a gundam "ac" type game? Or maybe just indie titles. Seems like a gold mine, but its just not happening?
>>23564711MACHINECLAD and ARMED FRAME on steamYet to come out tho
>>23564711Dolls nest.Gameplay comparable to ACV with dark souls exploration.
>>23564711Idk shit about Gundam but I'm willing to bet whoever owns the IP has super strict style guidelines.Meaning they probably would be super against the idea of mixing and matching parts.
>>23564813NTA but do you guys like this anime girl stuff?I Like my mecha having a high percentage of mecha, personally.
>>23564650If you enjoy what you do you'll never work a day in your life.>>23564831I'd say AC's mech gameplay is solid enough that I'd play it even without customization. Even with the disconnect between the pilot and their AC being simplified throughout the series it still feels like I'm piloting a mech instead of playing a big dude.I'm not sure about Gundams as from what I gather FCS aren't a thing due to their particles or whatever and the FCS is one of the main things keeping it mechy feeling but I wouldn't be opposed to say a PCA episode, they don't get customization but have enough toys to play around with and I'd like to know if they only fight the corporations or if they routinely brawl with the RLF. I'd also really enjoy beating poor people up for my honored duty of protecting the stars and personal enjoyment.
There's always something bittersweet about fighting someone more honourable than you. Makes you remember how you used to play before the sheer cynicism and dipshittery of pvp cleansed you of mercy and fair play.
>>23564711The thing is you're all coming into this after the heyday of the PS1/PS2 era where they were a bunch of AC clones. Even a series published by Takara with Kunio Okawara doing the designs. It even got a short OVA that people only remember because there's a giant girl in one episode. The Gundam games that were most like AC were Journey to Jaburo and its semi-sequel, Lost War Chronicles. https://youtu.be/m55tCs61XOE
>>23564913War Thunder and Elden Ring PvP buckbroke me, I used to enjoy the thrill of the hunt and it didn't matter if I was outmatched, now I only garner enjoyment from crushing those beneath me and have nothing but contempt and resentment to anyone above me.
>>23564929>now I only garner enjoyment from crushing those beneath me and have nothing but contempt and resentment to anyone above me.Pretty much how I feel about AC6 PvP. Especially when you just KNOW those same fucking faggots at the tippy top of the (((Dominant))) hierarchy are just timing the game's resets to enter and immediately jerk each other off to maintain their stupid petty little pissing contest/deny everyone else a perfectly good banner.I sincerely hope everyone who has ever earned a top 100 rank catches bowel cancer and dies alone, loved and in unconsolable agony.
Speaking of pvp games, what's stopping fromsoft from releasing 5th gen (with servers) on steam? No publisher fuckery like 4th and oldgen, bandai namco still exists. And capitalizing on the new gen 6 fanbase by letting them buy instead of emulate on PC sounds like a sound business strategy is it not?
>>23564960probably don't fit the direction they want to take for the IPin a lot of aspects of art direction and design 6th is closer to oldgenif they manage to untangle publisher fuckery a port of PS2 titles would be more credible
>>23564969>probably don't fit the direction they want to take for the IPThere are two armored core mobile games on steam, lol.I know it's not by fromsoft but still. It could be a dark souls remastered scenario for 5th gen (better dedicated servers and fixes)
These polish devs are able to deliver a decent 5th gen remaster.
>>23564981Rights ownership or some bsThey made billlions off Elden Ring and I'd capitalize off it's hype by dropping old games on steam

>>23565117>spoilerExplain.
>>23565121 ironwing looks like valkyria chronicles in terms of artstyle but it has gameplay that is obviously heavily derived from AC6's combat sorta floaty handling with quickboosting and stagger mechanics
>>23564989No thanks, we've had more than enough shitty demasters and demakes of Japanese games by incompetent Polacks, Nips need to stop letting their IPs be sullied by those artistically bankrupt chimps.
Now that some time has passed. We can all agree that gen 4 had the best gameplay right?
>>23565979No.
>>23563978I always tought that ACs were simply better made/more expensive. The dystopian corporatist undertone present in the early games meant that those corporation prefered mass producing cheap stuff for their troopers, themselves little more than wageslaves, while free mercenaries had to pay for the good stuff. Then there is individual pilot skill which is better expressed in an AC than in any other machine.
Co-op games seem to be all the rage nowadays, it's already been said in this thread but it'd be a wonderful time to relaunch the co-op focused V/VD, give it a balance patch to stop V from feeling like shit and you can probably make 10 times what it costs to relaunch it on PC.
>>23565128>>23565117I like how the air assault suit is just a F22 with arms and legsThis looks better than the other game where the mecha were doing backflips every five seconds

An actual UC-set game with part swapping isn't likely because gundam rarely features part swapping. Switching out bits usually makes a mech worse and it's just a temporary repair. It also frequently looks stupid because of the different design languages. They tried to explore this with IBO but didn't really do much with it.
Do the PS2 games have a replay mission feature similar to AC 1 where you unlock all the other missions as soon as you reach an ending or do I need to plan my route carefully if I want to see every mission?
>>23571897AC2 and AC3 let you play all the other missions when you beat the game, but if I recall correctly Nexus didn't let you. Last Raven is a bit different since it wants you to replay the story from the start in several different paths in order to truly beat it.

Just finished 4 for the first time, I know the localization isn't great so I'm assuming that's why I don't really get what the fuck happened.
