Why’d it die? If it has infinite creativity why is NOBODY making new content around it?
>>23546088Moba slop dropped recently. It and GBO2 will continue to be Bandai's major cash generators.
>>23546088First problem. Because there wasn't enough difference between parts. Both in terms of things like damage output, and the way they functioned. Look at how the transformations and super modes were treated, for example - just minor stat boosts. Did NT-D take control of funnels and bits? Did HADES auto-activate INCOM weapons? They all felt exactly the same, and when everything's the same, the only point in customizing is to change the visuals, and thus, the only point in playing is to collect the visual parts you want, which you can just buy from the shop. So the second everyone had bought every kit in they shop they stopped playing, because their gundams played exactly the fucking same no matter which of those parts they used.Second problem. Lack of non-repetitive content. Okay so any part can be grinded up to have higher stats, but why bother? What are you grinding it for? Where were the superbosses that dropped limited edition versions of parts, balanced so you NEEDED three players to beat them? The newtype-difficulty only missions that recreated famous battles instead of throwing wave after wave of random bullshit at you?
>>23546167Downgrading from 3's corridor maps to 4's arena where you spend more time waiting for the next wave to load than anything else was its biggest mistake. Second biggest problem was once you clear the story there's simply nothing left to do except higher difficulty versions of those missions, and you get nothing extra for doing them. By the time you've cleared the story once you've gotten enough shit to max out like 10 full loadouts
Game doesn’t even work. Half the traits don’t make sense or even do anything.
>>23546088People loved to talk about wanting a new gundam breaker but forgot what it actually played like.
>>23546088I find the story presentation to be way too dull too. You spend majority of the story in the exact same lobby. The VN style format from GB3 was much better.
>>23546088>a mobage died for this
It’s telling that I don’t know a single person in the English community that make any kind of videos on this past the initial shill push. Only JP seemed to care and not for long
>>23546466It doesn't play much like 3 and earlier beyond a superficial level. 3 was closer to a build your own musou game(which is the direction they should have leaned harder into). This was an arena where they just dropped shit on you. Both have you killing a bunch of shit but the structure around killing shit is totally different.
>Why’d it die? If it has infinite creativity why is NOBODY making new content around it?
>>23546088Why do you need someone to make content for you?
The player has no real agency in creating content that actually effects gameplay significantly. It's essentially a dress up game after you beat it.
>>23547170Omg Li Fang hiii
Gameplay is king at the end of the day, and the gameplay was sadly not very engaging, even if you had a ton of neat customization options.
>>23546107What is this about a Gundam moba? I can't see anything of the sort. Not even Gundam can make me return to that accursed genre but I'm curious because it sounds like total bullshit but just plausible enough for bamco to be dumb enough to do it
>>23546466GB3 had a rather decent gameplay compared to average mecha games (average is sadly bad when you account for every one out there). I'm talking of a range between 4.5-6.5/10 of engagement and entertainment depending on what's your build, what you use, how you use it. You don't need to be psyopped into thinking that "new should be either the same or worse." That doesn't have to happen.
>>23546088I wish bandai didn't ditch it, imagine how cool itd be if after gquuuuuux, we got some of the mobile suits from it. Same with that new thunderbolt gundam, I know I'd be making some cool mock ups with it.
>>23546088There’s one guy who’s still making stuff for it but…he’s pretty much been the only one since launch
>>23546088It's just not a good ARPG like Breaker 3 was. Builds in 4 feel so boring and balanced around a nonexistent PVP mode. Go back and play 3 and compare the traits in it compared to the boring +4% nonsense you get when you max out something in 4
>>23549359Literally whom?
>>23546305Worse, the variety is lacking, and not all of the parts seen in Breaker Mobile are seen in 4 either. Those fucks at Bandai denied me of the Astaroth Rinascimento, any other CE ZAKUs besides the Gunner, and all G-UNIT kits when they managed to release some of them all those years ago in Breaker Mobile.
>>23549711>wanting mobage slop
>>23546088I enjoy playing GB3. I don't enjoy playing GB4.
>>23546466I love GB3, GB3 was fun and I spent a lot of time even when I completed the story, plus I bought all the DLC.When I finished the story in GB4, I just put it down, i don't think it was as fun as GB3.
