F90, F91, Crossbone, Victory, G-Saviour: anything goes!
I like this time period as it shows how even though the Federation won 4-5 pyrrhic victories in a row, Zeon broke the people fundamentally bringing the whole thing down after they are gone.
Here's a page from the G-Saviour manga.
>>23561787Still waiting for its prototype to show up in Cluster.
I tried Crossbone, but I can't get over the art in chapter 1.
>>23561774Wahh, so cool ..
Seabook and Cecily are so cute together, best part of Crossbone and makes me even more mad F91 never got a full series
>>23561912Thank Hasegawa for diverging from the original Tomino's plan.F91 not getting full series is a blessing for them.
>>23561915Tomino was out for blood, huh? Can't say that isn't like him hah
>>23561850It gets better over time.
>>23561431should i watch G saviour?
>>23561764Federation was really, really REALLY fucking lucky Zeon was even worse than them because that was the only thing giving them any shred of legitimacy. And even then, genocidal maniacs were still enough of a counterforce to the prospect of continued Federation rule.
>>23561793
>>23561942it's an extremely okay movie, nothing more and nothing less. Meming it as the worst thing in Gundam is just that, meming.
>>23561937They survived, it's just you wouldn't really cheer them getting together by the end.
>>23561942You should play its video game sequel.
>>23561949Afranche...what are you doin', brother?
>>23561952elaborate
>>23561979You can read Crossbone draft yourself.https://zeonic-republic.net/?page_id=8635
G-Saviour, my beloved...
I LOVE F90 I LOVE F90 I LOVE F90
>Universal Century>Goes on for longer than a Century
>>23562127>anno domini>lasts longer than an anno
>>23562130By that logic the oyw war should have taken place in the first Universal Century at UC 00.79, Hathaway's Flash the 2nd Universal Century in UC 01.05 and G-Saviour the 3rd Universal Century in 02.23
>>23562146...I like that logic.
>>23561431
>>23562318Cool pre-CCA antique. What does it have to do with Late UC though?
>>23561942Yes, It’s got the best girl cucking in the franchise
>>23561942As you cannot decide for yourself, the answer is 'no'.
>>23562358antiques are used in late UC
For me late U.C. is ok up until F91. Until they fill in all the gaps and tie up loose threads things are just too all over the place after that. However I do like some of the designs in the Crossbone mangas
>>23562877The Batalla and all its offshoots are kino
>>23562835True, but that one in particular wasn't featured in any late UC stuff afaik. Not even as a cameo.
>>23563076wait shit, it isn't?
>>23561786this thing has a lot of firepower, wow
>>23563077Yeah, there were some AoZ Reboot cameos in Cluster, but no Rehyze as far as I know.
>>23563084It also is basically the fastest suit in UC
>>23563175Close enough.
>>23563175Pretty sure that Vanilla V2 is faster.
>>23563266You can't just slap bunny ears on a V2 and call it a new suit
>>23563302V2 is just a big V slapped on Victory
>>23563299>basically
I wish they make Gaia Gear manga so that we can see more the mecha design
Jamesgun Short Shoulder is very cute and innocent
>>23563356CUTE
>>23563358INNOCENT
>>23563358Is that ideon?
Since V2 have the same developer of the W type for the F90, wouldn't that made it unofficially the F100?
>>23563381Victory in general is a descendant of SNRI tech
>>23563367Jamesgun Short Shoulder
>>23563381>F100That would be F910, but if we count unofficial expansions like that V2 should get in line. V1 itself uses Cluster-derived Core Block.
>>23563396
>>23563175By killing off the man behind the both the Warbird Type and the V2 development (also assuming that he's also behind the development of the Record Breakers), Zanscare has inadvertently squandered away any chance of a WoL successor within the UC. Sure we did get Phantom Light Variants, but they all based off of a failed attempt to reverse engineer stolen technology from SNRI.
>>23563356>>23563358>>23563404Looks like an uglier gundvolva ripoff
>>23563423you are extremely stupid and dishonest
>>23563426You just know that I'm right deep in your heart, but too afraid to admit it
>>23563423Embarrassing for you
mysterious motherfucker... gotta get a mobile machine at some point, right??
Whatever happens to SNRI? I know the the other SNRI branch turned into Bespa but what happened to the main company? Did the Crossbones manga ever mention?
>>23564899It's still around, what would happen to it?
I do wonder if Hasegawa is planning on going into the rise of CONSENT, if he is going to make up his own new futureSo far, nothing has contradicted G-Saviour in official Sunrise works, and this is the first time anyone has even approached it in the timeline, even if the Crossbone series is only dubiously canon.
>>23564935Crossbone is as canon as anything else
>>23563331Gaia Gear designs are things you look at in painted images. These designs are too complex for traditional 2D animation and they would be really obscured in manga panels.
>>23564937Only filmed works are canon or "official", this was established a long time ago and nobody from Sunrise has changed it afaik.
>>23564952no, it's been changed over a decade ago at this point but westerners keep repeating it because they're incapable of processing new and changed info
>>23564954Source?
>>23564956in the first place "canon" is just not a concept here, don't use that stupid word againwhat we do have are terms like"official" (公式)"official history" (正史)"semi-official" (準オフィシャル) [used by Inoue]"semi-official" (セミ・オフィシャル) [used in MS Encyclopedia]"semi-official history" (準正史) [per Minakawa]then we have comments on the whole thing such as Great Mechanics 2005>So, what is the basis for saying what's "official" in the Gundam world? This magazine asked the well-known Koichi Inoue, head of Sunrise's planning and development office.>"The first thing we have to say is that, where the Gundam world is concerned, the true official--that is, what could be called Sunrise official setting--should, strictly speaking, be thought of as limited to the films and to things that appear in the filmed works.>However, even if they're not like the above, Sunrise supervises and gives publishing permission to books and games that deal with the Gundam world. Thus, in a broader sense, the original setting that appears in these could be called semi-official.or Gundam Encyclopedia>The addition of "*" to the timeline is a method that began with "GUNDAM OFFICIALS U.C.0079~0083" (compiled by Yuka Minakawa, published 2001 by Kodansha). The designation "official" invites misunderstandings, but don't think that material it did not include is unofficial. (After its publication, the Gundam world has continued to expand.) The idea is not to divide things into official and unofficial, and books, games, and models approved by Sunrise are all assumed to be official. However, there is an order of priority to the information, and one could say that it ranges from white to very close to black. (The original anime being white, and from there it enters the "gray zone.")TL;DR it's not hard and fast rules or unanimous agreement, don't force western fiction issues onto it
>>23564964lmao, you just posted exactly what I already said. How are you going to post these quotes and then pretend like they don't say what they do?>"The first thing we have to say is that, where the Gundam world is concerned, the true official--that is, what could be called Sunrise official setting--should, strictly speaking, be thought of as limited to the films and to things that appear in the filmed workFirst order is films, they override anything else and take precedence. Your personal vendetta against the word "canon" has nothing to do with it.
>>23564973fantastic job having zero fucking literacy, I guess that's to be expected of your kind
>>23564973I'm glad that we agree that ANT overrides Zeta.
>>23565014Zeta is also filmed. Like 0079, it follows two timelines. Oh, are you an ESL and thought 'filmed' meant only theatrical releases?
>>23565029ESL isnt an insult. Speaking multiple languages is a sign of above average intelligence. Only speaking english is a sign of below average intelligence.
Does Xi count as "Late UC"? Because I like the Xi and how bulky it is (and how it looks like its wearing a fez)
>>23565036yah
>>23564935Would Hasegawa even do anything with CONSENT? He prefers to set his stories out of the Earth sphere.>>23565036I wouldn't count it, but it's close enough.
>>23565054>He prefers to set his stories out of the Earth sphere.not really?Crossbone : half in Earth SphereSkullhearrt: roughly half>Steel 7: most in Earth Sphere>Ghost: all in Earth Sphere>DUST: all in Earth Sphere>X-11: All in Jupiter SphereSeerauber is up in the air at this point.
>>23565035speaking English is the only sign of intelligence you retarded brown termite
>>23564964thank you for explaining this
>>23564964Their use of the term "official" means the exact same shit as "canon" in the western nerd fandoms.
>>23565142no it does not and even if it did that wouldn't matter since western nerds don't matter
>>23564935>So far, nothing has contradicted G-Saviour in official Sunrise worksGaia Gear, which was referenced in the F90FF manga.
>>23565150you're not very smart are you
>>23565149>>23565151Keep crying, faggot.
>>23565153not everybody that calls out your bullshit is the same person. You're not special, just bigoted.
>>23565150Gaia Gear is 20 years before G-Saviour. 20 years is plenty of time for the dissolution of the Federation and the establishment of Consent. Not only that, but Gaia Gear can't be canon or official in any way, since Sunrise does not own it and Tomino doesn't want it to ever be brought up again, much less connected officially to Gundam. The rights to individual mecha designs could be a different type of licensing, but Gaia Gear as a story cannot be integrated unless Sunrise buys out the rights from Tomino and the magazine.
>>23565150all they did was drop in Zorin Soul as a one-panel easter egg
>>23561937>>23561915Hasegawa largely followed the outline of Tomino for Crossbone though, except for the loli shit and retarded plotlines and the shitty ending
>>23565155You typed both of your posts in the exact same way, retard.
>>23565151You don't have to reply twice, retard.
>>23565153>>23565195not many ways of calling out a dipshit
Regular Victory or Hexa?
I love Victory and I think all it's kits should get revives but more specifically the Gun-EZ, Gedlav, Javelin, Jamesgun, Zoloat, and Rig Contio.
For me, the farther in the future it is the better
>>23565447I want a Galiscon kit.
Was there a Monthly Mobile Machine 36 last month or the Rock one is still the last?
>>23565475That'd be great though only after I get my Einrad
>>23561431Any new anime coming out in this time period?
>>23563399>>23563381F100 would be, given its name, some form of tribute to the Hyaku Shiki incorporating next-generation Formula tech and possibly early versions of Saviour project tech, given Crossbone's newest installments are getting close to the formation of CONSENT chronologically
>>23564899Some databooks suggested SNRI basically split and became BESPA and the R&D division of the League Militaire. Actually, IIRC one of the old guys in Victory and Usso's mom were the SNRI engineers in charge of the F99 project in one of the Crossbone spinoffs. Plus there's the Cluster Gundam Kai's connection to the GunEZ and Victory.
>>23565149Yes, it does. It's literally the exact same context that Star Wars defined canon before Disney bought it. There were the Lucas directed films as the strictly official canon, the spinoffs that Lucasfilms was involved in coproducing, and then the licensed third party stuff like the Expanded Universe
>>23563302It also has VSBR funnels on the skirt armor!
>>23565612>Crossbone's newest installments are getting close to the formation of CONSENT chronologicallyAre they at the Gaia Gear era yet?
>>23561774That's a fucking Heavy Metal
>>23565479They were on hiatus for the latest chapter, Rock is the most recent one.
>>23565478WhERe IS HE ??!!
>>23565835Welp, that was a decent consecutive run.I guess they ran out of obvious stuff to talk about.
>>23565863illiterate
Where can I read the rest of DUST? Is it even fully translated yet. Since Dex and Comick went under, I've been high and dry. Same for X-11 and whatever's out of Seerauber.
>>23565998wait till zeonic or scanguard translate them
>>23561949>ywn get GG adaptation where Ikeda plays Affranchi Char and groans in his sexy voice while furiously jerking off in the cockpit.why even live? it's not fair sisters.
>>23561431Why is it that the more "futuristic" a mecha gets, they all start to resemble Xenogears
>>23565156Gaia Gear is its own thing.
>>23566087Because it’s all drawn my Ishigaki
>>23563358So the big innovation is remembering the anti-personnel hand guns like in Dougram and Dragonar?
>>23566241it's not an innovation, it's a terror weapon
>>23564944That didn't stop FSS
>>23566265don't be obtuse
>>23566087It isn't supposed to be futuristic. It's supposed to be a weird newtype variant with funnels. Its sister units are relatively normal.
>>23566267I'm serious. There isn't a matter of "it's too hard", most obstacles can be overcome with will + money. The question is more whether someone has the will to make a manga of Gaia Gear. I don't think an anime would happen without significant changes to the story since the very first chapters have a huge ass anti-white rant and there's the masturbation chapter but maybe they'd do an adaptation of the radio drama version.
>>23564952>>23564964Here's something fun that Ogata said seven years ago in an interview:>――新たな宇宙世紀100年の歴史を描く新作タイトルをシリーズ展開していくプロジェクト「UC NexT 0100」はすごく大きな意味合いをもつ発表だと思います。 Of course, everything is a subject to change, but recent F90 project and Crossbone are a part of UC NexT 0100, meaning that at least at some point those were considered by current Gundam executive producer to be either "canon" or to be adapted into "canon" in the future.
>>23566272come on anon, you're better than this
>>23566272>The question is more whether someone has the will to make a manga of Gaia GearNo, the question is if Tomino, Kadokawa and Banrise all agree to commission a manga artist to make an adaptation of Gaia Gear. And the chances of that are infinitesimal
>>23566286It’s crazy how fucked the federation gets between UC 0105 to 0123
>>23566272>Five Star Stories: Film from 1989>Gaia Gear: Nothing animated and it's now 2025, the dark age of anime
>>23566312Does it though? I feel like ever since ZZ their main schtick was repeating "Nothing ever happens." and basically being right every time, because its every problem basically gets solved by concerned citizens (or it is literally a nothingburger like with Unicorn).
>>23566312they've always been like that
>>23566263Adding more vulcans in a different spot than just the head or chest isn't very terrifying.
>>23566329If you keep saying "nothing ever happens" when stuff happens and is solved by not-the-goverment, people stop paying taxes to said government or respecting its laws.
>>23566337>>23563362
>>23566329Im a zoomer who lives in a post unicorn world where post CCA the Feddies have an almost pre OYW strangle hold on the earth-sphere
