i just gotta say, this is probably THE best manga ive ever read. the story all up to the ending is amazing and the final fight with all the different mechas showing up is probably the greatest thing ive ever seen. only thing is wish is that they also made a reference to Tetsujin 28. Go Nagai really is a genius

The impressive thing about how good Shin Mazinger Zero turned out is that it started running as far freaking marketing tie-in to the Shin Mazinger tv show, but then it seemed to have a completely separate story and just continued away and got a full sequels years after the main show was over. And Mazinger Zero and even the one shot Great Mazinkaiser became staples of Mazinger's merchandising.

I wonder if they will do some kind of Mazinger Zero anime eventually.
