Christina is the "shoefitter" for the NT1 project, and the project has a hilariously awful start. The NT1's original test pilot was some idiot who was even worse at piloting than Christina was and almost caused a friendly fire incident. He was taken off the job but the replacement test pilot turns out to be a Zeon spy. Christina becomes the project's third test pilot.
