Why do gundam artists/animators constantly fuck up the size of their mobile suits? Pic related is roughly how tall a mobile suit should be compared to a human

>>23575476This is a thread discussing mecha and how animators/artists fuck up the size of mobile suits
>>23575473Because scale is hard when it's something that doesn't exist. Even scale relative to other ms is wacky. Take Zeta, many of the Titan MS are drawn comically huge compared to other ms, but they're officially similar sizes.
>>23575487That's fair. I'm rewatching Wing and there are some scenes where the scale seems right and others that are laughable
>>23575473>the shortest mobile suit in history, the Victory series, are 15 meters tall at the very least>that translates to around 50 feet>an F-22 Raptor is somehow 50 feet tallPfffhahahahaha.
>>23575526The F-22 is 62 ft 1 in (18.92m) with a wingspan of over 13. It's length is longer than most gundams are tall. The F/A-18 Super hornet is 60 ft 1.25 in (18.32m). Again, longer than most gundams are tall.
Exactly. Jets are fucking stupid concepts that they keep making way too big to be realistic. You think that thing is even able to take off? Not to mention the square-cube law. It better hope that tarmac is strong or those tiny little wheels will punch through the ground.
>>23575483>>23575504>>23575540Fuck off retard.
>>23575545Hah.
>>23575540that's about the same size as most classic gundams
>>23575545had a friend in school that was actually like this, like they were a cool guy and nice to hang around but he would suddenly whip out a sentence like this out of nowhere
a guy with an ak47 and a single magazine could total a parked f-22 or apache though, armor is heavy.
>How could they screw this up?
