There's something deeply humorous about Gundam protags pointing a gun either at the camera or just slightly off to the side. It doesn't make me smile as hard as watching Gundam characters punch each other but it's close.

The only "martial art" Suletta knows is olympic fencing, but I'd hardly call it knowledge of CQC, since it's a sport.
