They directors will say something on social media about a Gundam series they worked on, but the wiki editors will scream that it doesn't count and only databooks count. Even when the Directors reveal new information only on social media.

Some Gundam Directors even make fun of the databooks on social media. They say databooks are just for fun and not meant to be taken seriously. Or that if the anime contradicts the databooks, the Gundam Director will say that the Databook is wrong and they shouldn't listen to a book.

Gundam Seed Director Mitsuo Fukuda is a recent example. He gave a lot of fan interviews promoting Gundam Seed Freedom and made posts on social media. But almost none of the information was shared on the wiki because the editors say it doesn't count.

I think it's when the wiki editors got upset that the the Proud Defender has its own nuclear reactor built inside it according to Fukuda on social media. Thus Mighty Strike Freedom has 2 nuclear reactors to power the weapons. It wasn't mentioned in the databooks which made the wiki editors upset.

Wikis as a concept ONLY work when you well adjusted normal people in charge. Unfortunately almost all of these people have better things to do. But I was one of those rare people who decided to give it a try.

I'm speaking from experience. I used to run a comicbook forum, website, and a run comicbook wikia. I tried my absolute best. Really. I did. I was 18 years old and had a lot of free time in college. I liked reading comics as a kid.

So I thought running websites, Wikis, and forums for other comic fans would be fun. That I could share ideas with other comic fans. Man was I wrong!

Despite my best efforts, it was an immense uphill battle. I could not believe the sheer immaturity I witnessed on a daily basis. These massive arguments that 30, 40, and 50 year old people would get into about the comic characters. For example, Intense debates that would go on for dozens of pages about "Hulk VS Thor" , and constant insults and snide remarks being thrown around. Not only about who would win, but also how the website should write about them.

Constant messages demanding I change the website and wiki pages. Accusations of me being biased. Constant "all caps lock" screaming matches that would go on for days that I would have to break up. People constantly questioning my authority and knowledge.

I discovered...I was wrangling a bunch of idiots and retards. These people had mental problems. Every single day I would get back from class and there would be dozens of private messages and notifications from users. For 2 years I did this in my spare time. Managing all of it. Writing wiki pages for comic book characters, moderating the comic forum, etc. I was getting migraines and it was affecting my grades.

So one I just walked away. I shut everything down, except the forum, and walked away. I gave control of the forum to a long time user and just left. I still get PTSD. You 40 and 50 year olds should be ashamed with how you act. You made a 19 year old give up.
