Their tech was augmented by Arquebus but to me it seems like the PCA's equipment is older but still more powerful and only needed the refining touch of current age technology to improve it. What we know is that on it's own even Arquebus ADD stuff falls short of what the PCA has as a standard as long as we ignore the repair kits which seem odd and more of a gameplay concession.

Would analog controls for the old games really make that much of a difference? I never felt like the limitation was on my controls but rather on my machine and I'd doubt using a stick would make the clunkyness of being an unaugmented human piloting an AC go away.
