Started watching Cutie Honey The Live. After all these years, seeing an adult-oriented tokusatsu with gore and naked boobs is somewhat bizarre.The action choreography is really good, it's very punchy and violent, with combatants being tossed out of windows and down the stairs like they're potato sacks. Someone definitely got a few bruises while doing some of these stunts.Fanservice is also expectedly rampant, the camera humps every female butt in the vicinity (and some male ones for good measure). This is something Hideaki Anno's Honey movie didn't really deliver on.Obviously looking forward to Inoue's writing, I heard he did some wild things in this show. Some people say it's the most sophisticated version of Cutie Honey, thanks to him.Also, seeing Kamen Rider Kaixa's actor play a villain with a split personality disorder is delightful.

The script and humor falls flat, the character chemistry or lack thereof is equivalent of something like the later GARO series.
