Considering these 12 angels were completely eliminated from the story.Also, there was supposed an upgrade armor for Eva-01 (in episode 15) and later a flying battle, which end up being no-shows. So, the tech development also was changed.Basically the only episode of the 2nd half that followed the original plans was Kaworu's and maybe the Nerv backstory one.
Evangelion would've been art if anno died in a dominatrix dungeon shortly after EOE released. Unfortunately he aged into a dull nostalgia chungus, mostly focusing on releasing the edgy reboot of the big bad beetleborgs, and so we've seen what happens when a loner kid accepts themselves and grows into a responsible adult. You get Flabber in an r rated movie.For what it's worth I didn't watch the rebuilds, because why would I want evangelion but it's not made as some weird, expressive outlet for a depressed guy but instead it's clean and nice and has CG mechs? Who wants well-balanced evangelion, where's the fun in that?
