Been to Gfest a dozen times, and I could afford a second house with the amount of stuff I have bought for a collection of properties of Japanese guys in fancy Halloween costumes. Bur to say SP was some sort of genius writing is next level disconnect from reality. It is Eldritch sci-fi horror, that’s it and nothing “hard sci-fi” about it. If you like it, that’s cool but it is boring at the end of the day. SP is easy to follow and isn't complex, it's just very pretentious with its storytelling and infodumps and a lot of it becomes superfluous anyway because it still feels like "Eldritch Godzilla" could have still been explained by stupid sci fi bullshit
People weren't confused by complex ideas, it's that the story tries to tell so much in so little time but by the end of the story it ultimately doesn't mean much and makes a majority of the exposition feel pointless
The fact that people like you that defend it are unironically saying you need to have a IQ to understand it like some faggot Rick & Morty fan attests to that. I've never seen anyone who goes for that defense actually explain why the story needed to spend minutes at a time having the characters lecture us on real world metaphysics only for the conclusion to be "dude what if Godzilla could move through space and time?"

For the record I liked SP but felt its premise was vastly underutilized and could have been done better. The idea to use real world science to explain Godzilla is cool but this show felt like if Godzilla '54 was 75% a lecture on how nuclear power scientifically made Godzilla but then the fictional Oxygen Destroyer kills him anyway
